"Take Me As I Am"
-Chapter One
Ron walked through the large crowds of the Hogwarts students. He was trying to get to the Quidditch pitch, where he was to meet up with Harry and Hermione that morning. He woke up late and when he went to take a shower, there was no hot water left. He couldn't find his hairbrush and had to use Seamus's one. He gathered his wand, broom, and a book and left.
By the time he got to the pitch, he was tired from all the pushing. It seemed liked everyone was in a hurry today. Must be because the Yule Ball was coming up and everyone wanted a good date. Yea, like I'll ever get a date to that, Ron thought. He walked up to Harry and Hermione and yelled, "Hey!"
"Hey Ron. What happened?" asked Harry.
"First, I wake up late. Then we're out of hot water. Then my hair is so wild and I can't find my brush. When I walked out Common Room, there were massive crowds," he said quickly. His voice was tired and he looked at his best friends. "So what was so important that you had to tell me?" he asked.
"Oh it's not that important. I think we should head out to the Great Hall and have some breakfast," said Hermione. Ron shrugged and turned around and walked away. Harry pulled Hermione to the side.
"What? Why couldn't you tell him? He deserves to know!" Harry said. Hermione glanced towards Ron's direction. He was headed up the stairs to the castle.
"I can't! He will hate us! You should tell him. I don't have the heart to tell him," she said, quietly. She glanced towards the lake and sighed.

"Well, well, well. Surprised you guys made it this far," said Professor Wood. He smiled at them and continued. "I wouldn't believe that you guys could survive my hard tactics I made for you this year. But I assure you that this term's Flying Class will be hard and tough. Brace yourself," he said, looking at each of his students.
"Wood?" came a small voice. Everyone turned around to see Ginny Weasley, a sixth year, standing there with a note in her hands.
"Yes, Ginny?" he asked. She walked towards him and handed him a note.
"This is from the Chuddley Canons. They sent it to the wrong person," she said. She looked at each of students' faces before turning back to Wood.
"Very well, then. Thank you," he said as he put the note away. Draco watched her walk away and he sighed.
"Something the matter Mr. Malfoy?" Wood asked him. Draco shook his head.

During lunch, Ron talked on and on about how Professor Snape took away ten House Points because Ron dropped his quill. Harry and Hermione were quiet. They couldn't think anymore. "What's the matter?" Ron asked.
"Oh nothing," said Hermione as she took a bite of her toast.

Ginny Weasley pushed through the crowds of people and finally made it to the library. Draco was already there. "Hey Ginny," he said. She looked at him puzzled.
"Hey Draco. Umm, what brings you here?" she asked. Draco walked towards the Quidditch books.
"Oh, just looking at some flying books," he said as he turned away. When Ginny wasn't looking, he stared at her. Oh how I wish I could have just one day, he thought, as I walked away.

"Ron, can we talk?" Hermione asked him. Ron was sitting near the fire and was reading up on some flying tips. He put down the book.
"Ok," he said. He turned towards her. Oh how beautiful she looks right now, he thought.
"We've been friends a long time," she started.
"Umm, ok," he said.
"I know this is hard to say but, Harry and I are dating," she said.
[A/N: next chapter, how will Ron react to this news? Plus, Draco's infatuation with Ginny grows stronger.]
