The Worst That Could Happen

It's the worst that could possibly happen. The end comes at last when Harry Potter, Boy Who Lived and soul hope for the survival of the wizarding world falls.

“The key to your survival depends on you following these rules. You may not wish it now, but eventually you will want to live. I will not let you out of my clutches until I have broken you, Mudblood. You will be the model for the rest of the world to follow. I have been granted this opportunity to be the one who breaks you, and I will relish in your pain and your suffering until you do. I will keep you until the end of your days, Mudblood, and you will enjoy me by the time I am through with you.”

Hermione lay in a sobbing heap as the house elves worked around her, healing her and cleaning the blood from her. She noticed distantly how they stayed away from her arm where she had bitten it and that monster had rubbed the salt in her flesh, causing her the most pain she’d known in a long time.

“No Malfoy has an illegitimate child. Not now, not ever. Also, no Malfoy ever marries someone of your…blood. That is the ultimate sin for a Malfoy, understand?” She nodded. “Good,” he continued. “Now, if you won’t kill the child, and there’s no way I can do it before the thing is born and it’s too late, you’ll become a Death Eater and we’ll marry. It’s the only way I can save my arse and keep you alive. Besides, I promised the Dark Lord that I would turn you.”

“Give me your left arm,” the Dark Lord requested.
