Author's Note:
Not sure where I got this idea, but it's rather good. But then again, I wrote it.

Seamus leafed through papers, stamping and disposing blindly, marking each with a red PASS, or else crumpling it disheartedly. "I could have been an auror, or in the Ministry," he muttered bitterly. "Stupid scumbag... bet he's still living off his parents' money." But Seamus was here, weeding through the birth certificates in the London vaults. Thanks to Draco Malfoy, he hadn't graduated from Hogwarts last June. During his sixth year, they'd snapped his wand for cursing Malfoy's legs off after Malfoy had put the Crucio curse on him for talking back. Unfortunately, Professor Snape caught Malfoy with no legs, but didn't believe a word of Seamus' protests. His spell had only been temporary, but it was enough for him to be deemed a danger to wizarding society, and he had been sent to live as a Muggle. So now he was purging a cheap London newspaper's birth announcement archives.

"Irma Bogie," he chuckled, reading one. "Poor kid." He checked the birth date, and seeing that it was after 1980, chucked it in the bin by his side. Next one... Virginia Weasley. He knew that name. Weasley... Ron. And his sister Ginny, a year below him. That would be her. Trying to avoid his prying nature, he simply looked at the birth year. 1981, so it could go. But his curiosity got the better of him, and he sneaked a look at the information, hoping to find an embarrassing middle name or some such thing.

Full Name: Virginia Maeve Weasley

Hair: Red

Eyes: Brown

Mother: Rosemary Elizabeth Webb

Father: William Phaeton Weasley

He looked again. He'd met Ron's parents at the train station, and he remembered vaguely the names Arthur and Molly. Or was it Maggie? In any case, it certainly wasn't Rosemary, or even Mary for short. And he was sure Ron's parents were married.

"Maybe I should send this to Ron," he wondered aloud. "Just make sure it's the same Ginny Weasley... they might want to save it or something." He dug in his dusty desk for an envelope, and wondered where to send it. He supposed he could send it to 'Ron Weasley' and hope it got to him. The best I can do, he thought. For all I know, Ron's keeper for the Chudley Cannons. But he addressed it in sloppy handwriting, and stuck it in his pocket for the way home.

None of my business even if it is the same Ginny Weasley. So I was in love with her, doesn't mean I need her birth announcement. So she dated every boy in my year but Ron and me. Still, I don't need her birth announcement! Thoughts flew through his mind as he walked home in the sleet, the cold seeping through his unsubstantial coat as the water did through his shoes. It's almost as if I'm trying to ruin their lives. Hers, at least, and whoever Bill is. Just because they're wizards. There's not even any evidence that she and Ron weren't cousins or something, maybe she had Squib parents who wanted her raised magically, or something. But the malice had already taken root, and he started to giggle manically as he deposited the letter into a postbox outside his seedy apartment.
