Summary of Work: I think one of the most unknown characters of JK Rowling's series is Lily Evans, Harry's mother. She wasn't a marauder, a quidditch star, or amazing sorceress (except to James). I thought Lily would be one to keep a diary so I wrote one she would have kept during her 6^th year of Hogwarts. I also added things that haven't been associated with Hogwarts, but a lot of muggle high schools, including mine.

Dear diary,

I am so excited to go back to Hogwarts! I can't wait to see everyone! All of my friends and then there's James. I am friends with loads of people at Hogwarts, but there are three in Gryffindor that are very unique. Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, and James Potter have to be my best friends. (not mentioning Peter, which I am friends with, but really annoys me sometimes). James is the one that really makes me laugh and we have loads of fun when we have to stay at Hogwarts sometimes over the holidays.

Yesterday Mom and Dad took me to the Leaky Cauldron so I could get my school things in Diagon Alley for next year. While I was there I bought the most beautiful dress robes I have ever seen. They are deep green with gold accents and designs. Mother said, "You look gorgeous," and Dad gave me a whistle when I came downstairs. I also bought a birthday present for James (even though I missed his birthday because I never go to Diagon Alley that often). I got James a book about his favorite quidditch team, the Chudley Cannons, a new wizard's chest set, and a large bag of sweets.

I am also glad I'll be gone for Petunia's and her husband, Vernon's, next visit. Well I better sleep because tomorrow I have to pack and leave early for London, and it's already 3:30 AM.

Dear diary,

This year's travel from Platform 9¾ to Hogwarts has to have been the best yet. On the train ride here, I sat in a car with James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Apryl (my "girlfriend"). It was funny because James kept doing these close to perfect (except for the part when he kicked himself) impressions of Severus Snape. Sirius and Remus just had to help by impersonating Severus's two goons. We played exploding snap for what seemed like hours and made bets on who the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher was going to be. Right before we pulled into Hogsmeade Apryl told me in the bathroom that she "fancied" Sirius. I wasn't surprised though because I could have guessed for at least a year she did. We watched the petrified first years be sorted then ate our delicious feast. When we went to the common room and settled in the first years. I decided to give James his present. James said, "This is the best birthday present he had ever gotten." I knew this wasn't true though because for fact the best present he ever got was his Comet two hundred sixty his father got him when he became seeker on the quidditch team. It still made my eyes light up though when he said it. I think I'll say goodnight because I am too sleepy.

Dear diary,

I think this has been the worst first week of school! I have the most homework I've had in years and the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Rorret (French), isn't making my life any better. You can hardly tell what he's saying in his French accent, and he gave a week's worth of detentions to Sirius, Remus, and James for asking him if he said," Don't wipe your ass", but he really said, "Pipe down class". How unfair! Even I, for a few seconds, thought Mr. Rorret said that as well till he gave detentions for the mistake. I told James and he thanked me for my opinion. I am really excited despite the hell this week. That's only been because Apryl and Sirius are going together! They look so happy too. The other downfall this week was that I came to class late and lost 10 points for Gryffindor. EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T MY FAULT!!!! That little git Narcissa Bentley ran into me, and she didn't stop to even say sorry, but ran over to her evil "love" Lucius Malfoy. James, Remus, and Sirius all made me feel better though by telling me how many points they had already lost for Gryffindor this year.

Dear diary,

Things have totally taken a turn for the best in the last two weeks. The best was Gryffindor's defeat of Slytherin 160 to 20 in the first match of the season. James of course impressed us with his never failing retrieval of the snitch. I think I went hoarse cheering that loud. The party afterward was great! Sirius (team chaser) and Peter went to the kitchens and brought back loads of butterbeer, cream cakes, and anything else the house elves gave them. We also played some music and danced. You should have seen my face when James asked me to dance, I must have been beet red, but being in his arms made the blushing well worth it. Apryl danced with Sirius and for a few songs all the rest of us could do was just watch. Apryl and Sirius are two of the best dancers in school! The fairytale didn't last long though because Professor McGonagall came and ended it less than two hours later.

I know James has an invisibility cloak, and sometimes I wish when things like that happen we could just run away under it into the night. That would be so romantic, but I'm not brave enough to tell him how I feel. I think faith will hit him hard soon enough.

Dear diary,

I can't wait till my 17^th birthday, October 31, Mom and Dad sent me an owl basically asking what sort of Muggle gift they could buy me. I of course thought of a few things and sent my reply back. James, Remus, Sirius, Peter, and Apryl all asked me same thing only wizarding wise. I told them all I had no idea, but James just got this glint in his eyes when I told him as if he didn't believe me! I just hope that glint was for the best. I am adapting quite well to all the homework, but Professor Rorret is still breathing down my shirt about my answers and work. He does that to everyone who isn't in his precious Slytherin house or is a Muggle born, like myself. You should have seen the glare he had for James after the quidditch match. I haven't had any trouble with any of my other classes though. I also have noticed that James, Remus, Peter, and Sirius seem to disappear every so often without mention. I think they are out on another journey through the castle in James' invisibility cloak, but I won't swear on it. I mean what else could they possibly not know about Hogwarts.

Dear diary,

I thought I would burst before I got back to you with all the things that have happened. The best of all that I think is that Amos Diggory, from Hufflepuff, tried to ask me to join him the next Hogsmeade weekend for a butterbeer and a walk up one of the mountains behind the shrieking shack. The good part about it was when I turned around to look at James I swear I could've fried and egg on his head, and at the sight I politely said no and that I planned on staying at Hogwarts because of all the work I had. I really don't need to be here at Hogwarts while they're in Hogsmeade, but I wanted to leave James with somewhat of a mystery. Part of the mystery is if I was really planning on staying and wanted to go, or if I made it up so I wouldn't have to go or make Amos feel bad. The second suggestion of course was my action, and the only person I would let buy me a butterbeer or take me up a mountain would be James, and I hope he figured it out. One of the other things is that someone said that they saw Apryl and Sirius kiss after quidditch practice and I wouldn't be surprised.

Dear diary,

The suspense is killing me! Practically all of my friends and James came back from Hogsmeade saying they got me the best gifts and that I'll love them. I believe that they got me gifts and that I'll love them, but what they got me is the most interesting question that is driving me off the edge. I asked Apryl, who has known for sometime my feelings for James, what James got me in Hogsmeade. All Apryl did though was put a self-satisfied smirk on her face and said she'd never tell. I hope he tells me he loves me, or better yet gives me a kiss, or maybe he will sneak me off in his invisibility cloak. I doubt it though.

I noticed again yesterday that James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter disappeared again for the 2^nd time, not counting last year. I still wonder where they went. I wish I had an invisibility cloak so I could follow them or watch them even. Maybe then they would let me on their adventures through Hogwarts. I know that they know every inch of this castle possibly even better than Professor Dumbledore himself. I doubt it though. James might, but I would think that the others wouldn't appreciate it too much if he brought a girl along even if it weren't his girlfriend. Apryl said Sirius has never taken her through any of the passages before.

October 31 (MY BIRTHDAY)

Dear diary,

This has been the best day ever! I got an owl with Mom and Dad's present in it and a small note from Petunia saying Happy Birthday and that I'm too old for presents (what a sick excuse). Mom and Dad got me a new dress that was a beautiful gold and plum. They also got me a card with $100 Muggle money to turn into Galleons. I sent an owl back with the longest thank you letter I think I've ever written. I tried on the dress for Apryl and she said I would make a few heads turn with it. I think it even looked better when Apryl charmed my hair into a very nice bun-type style, but in curls instead of my usual wavy hair. Sirius, Remus, and Peter all pitched in and got me the cutest cat (and probably expensive) I've ever seen. They named the white Persian cat Jasmine. Apryl got me some sugar quills and a book of beauty charms for your hair and makeup. Then the present I had been waiting for, my present from James. James came up to me and said he didn't get me anything (that was a nasty joke), then seeing the look on my face simply told me it wasn't ready yet and he'd give it to me tonight (need I say what came into my mind). James also looked over at Remus, Sirius, and Peter who all just smiled a big smile back.

The Halloween feast was fabulous! The great hall was so alight with jack-o-lanterns, candles, and shadows. We heard a few nice stories from Hags and Goblins, and then we ate all that we could.

Later after the feast, James finally told me that my birthday present was ready whenever I was. He gave me a package which had my favorite truffles in it. Then he pulled out a smaller box, a jewelry box. When I opened it I must've almost dropped it because James asked if I was OK. The thing inside the box was a string of pure sterling silver (unlike Muggle silver ours glows without light) with an unbelievable opal, my birthstone, as it's pennant hanging off a shorter chain in the middle (the opal just sparkled every time I looked at it). I just look up at James and because I was so distracted at the necklace I never even noticed he had it halfway around my neck already. Then looked at me and said how beautiful I was with it on.

At that moment I knew he must have known my feelings for him. Everyone it seemed in Gryffindor house was around us in the common room. I couldn't take it any longer so I kissed him on the cheek said thank you and ran upstairs to my dormitory. I just died to know what he thought about my reaction. Where I sit writing my memories of tonight.

Dear diary,

Thank God it's Saturday because I slept in dreaming very sweetly. I finally woke up and saw Apryl standing by her bed brushing her hair. She told me James stood dazed for a while after I ran upstairs. She told me Sirius finally patted him on the back and they left too. I am so glad James felt it too!!!!! I wonder what he'll say today at breakfast, or what he'll say Monday in class. Usually we don't say anything, but I try to get our eyes to meet every time I can. I made a promise to myself today diary that I'll wear this necklace everyday and that if by or before Christmas James hasn't given me a real kiss I might just have to take up Amos' offer. (God I hope James kisses me)

Dear diary,

I'm worried, I think that James is acting weird. Every class we just stare into each other's eyes like true lovers. I can't even count the points Gryffindor's lost, but they're well worth it. See why I'm worried though is because when we're in the halls he tries to not talk to me, and when he does he can't talk straight. We were assigned partners yesterday in Herbology and he almost dropped our Moonflower. Then in Potions I read off what to add and even then James almost blew us both up. I asked Sirius to talk to him for me because I want him to not be afraid of me, but love me. I told Sirius exactly that and told him to do whatever it took to get that point across hoping James would pick to love me.

November 15

Dear diary,

I am about to jump off my bed screaming JAMES LOVES ME and wake everyone, not caring too. Sirius came back with James' answer two days later. Sirius told me that he knew James wanted to love me, but was waiting for the perfect minute and moment. Sirius also said that he never asked James that, and that he knew without speaking a word just for me to wait and trust him. Sirius also told me that he hated playing matchmaker because he felt like he was in 2^nd year. I just laughed and told him to never let James think that I didn't love him. Sirius had to leave of course for quidditch practice for their game against Hufflepuff.

Dear diary,

This is the last day in November and the last day we have to decide whether we stay or not for the holidays. I chose to stay because Petunia and Vernon are staying with Mom and Dad for Christmas (gag), and I really like it at Hogwarts over the holidays. I am having a horrible time trying to decide on what to get everyone especially James, for Christmas. I have to get their presents the next Hogsmeade trip too. Apryl was telling me she wanted me to draw a portrait of he, since I'm such an artist (she says), for Sirius. I wish I knew what James wanted for Christmas. I saw James, Peter, Remus, and Sirius sneak out last night through the portrait. What I really want for Christmas is an invisibility cloak so I can find out what they're up to, or just have someone tell me. I learned only just a few days ago that Remus was a werewolf in the library because stupid Peter can never keep quiet. I hope James is staying for Christmas too.

Dear diary,

I am very relieved that James is staying. For the first time in almost a month I talked to him yesterday at dinner with a simple question of his whereabouts for the Christmas holidays. James said he was staying, but he looked at his food the whole time. I really hope he still has something in his heart for me like Sirius keeps telling me he does, and James acts on it before Christmas or Amos will get a big surprise.

Dear diary,

I saw most of my friends off at Hogsmeade station including Apryl, Remus, Peter, and Sirius. I gave them all their presents early. I finally decided what to give James for Christmas. I decided to give him my heart, literally. I put a lock of my hair with a ribbon around it so I'll always be with him and wrote a note reading:

Dear James,

Along with my hair inside this box is a piece of my heart. I love you James. I love the way you laugh , your smile, your loyalty to your friends, your bravery, and your heart.

Dear diary,

I think the time is very important at this moment, it's 3:05 AM. I bet you wonder where I've been huh. Well, I am in the highest spirits to tell you. There is no worry about Amos because James Potter loves me and has given me the best kisses in the last twelve hours imaginable.

It all started when I went down to the common room to study and work on some of my assignments. I never did break my promise of wearing James' present. Then James came and sat down beside me with the biggest look of content on his face I think I've ever seen. Then we both caught each other's eyes and he told me again how beautiful I was. I thanked him, but before the "you" even came out of my mouth, his lips were touching it. In other words he kissed me, he kissed me so deeply I thought I would fall on my knees.

Then he stopped though. I looked at him and he just smiled and said (I quote), " I swear I'll never wait this long to tell you something ever again. Lily, I love you so much. I have been walking around this last month with an unbearable pain in my heart and that's how I know I'll never live without you." (I will never forget those words, not even when I die).

That was only 4:00 PM though, at dinner we sat right across from each other, and James summoned two floating candles over to float next to us. All the professors watched in awe, but said nothing (even though Rorret was about to fall off his seat) and Dumbledore even smiled at us and set a rose in between us as well. After dinner we went back up to the common room and we kissed 5 more times at least. (I have never given my lips better exercise). Then James asked, "Lily, have you ever seen the lake by night?" I of course shook my head no. Then he fetched his invisibility cloak and off we went, as if in a dream. In one of the trees by the lake, the one we kissed under, he carved, Lily and James Forever. He and I must've stayed out in the dark for hours because I just got back, and if I wasn't so scared a teacher would catch me I'd probably still be with him, in his room.

Dear diary,

This was the sweetest Christmas ever, at Hogwarts or at home. I really doubt anyone but James and I stayed for the holidays because it seemed that the only person I have seen all this time is James. I thought Jasmine had been brushing up against me when I woke up, but I was wrong. The biggest surprise today was James' face over me when I woke up. He came into the girls' dormitories just to wake me up and give me my present. That is after he swore he hadn't been there all night. Before he gave me the box behind his back he gave me a handful of lilies. Then I took the box and opened it, and as James usually did. He outdid himself a second time. There was a ring this time that matched my necklace perfectly. (this was the first time I had ever opened a Christmas present while I was still in bed before) The ring was not an engagement ring though, James told me. The ring had a design like ivy that went around it and never broke, and on the inside it was engraved and read, To my dearest Lily from James, to no one's surprise I'm sure, I kissed him.

James told me he sent away for it to be made right after my birthday and couldn't wait to give it to me. I got my present for him off my dresser and he opened it. Even though my present from him was shinier, way more expensive, and wearable. James took one look at the hair, a look at me, and a look at the note then gave me a kiss, much like our first kiss the night before. James stared in astonishment at me, the hair, the note, and then back at me. After a few moments of this he said (again I quote), "You trust me with your heart and your life, and I only trust you with jewelry. No, that just won't due (you really should've seen my face now, but he ran to a drawer got scissors and snipped a piece of his black hair then stole one of Apryl's ribbons, tied it and placed it next to mine in the box.) There now you have my life too, and you've already stolen my heart."

I just had to kiss him one more time before he left the dorm.

After that the other presents really didn't seem that meaningful. Mom and Dad gave me clothes and money as usual, but this time the clothes weren't clothes at all it was a gown a long white and golden gown. Apryl and Sirius got me a magic sketch book (since all I used were Muggle ones) and Monet's Magical Pastels. I didn't get nor expect anything from Petunia and Vernon. James also informed me the lilies were from Peter and Remus saying they were a little low on galleons.

That evening before dinner and the ball, I changed into my new gown and fixed my hair the way Apryl did with a lily imbedded in it too. James of course escorted me down the staircases in his dress robes to the dinner occasion. Every Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and even two Slytherins stared as we passed. We ate and danced till Dumbledore blew out the candles.

James snuck me out to the lake again and we talked for hours about things we've never talked about before. We talked about the future. I have never once in my life heard James talk about the future accept when he's making plans for next week.

Dear diary,

New Years eve is one of my favorite holidays because I always think back throughout the year at everything that has happened and it seems like only yesterday I got sorted into Gryffindor house. We convinced Dumbledore to have another ball or at least play music after dinner, and to our delight he did. Only this time I wore the dress I had bought in Diagon Alley. Then after screamings of Happy New years and my New Years kiss, as if almost habit James and I went out by the lake again.

While we were there I asked James if he came here often and he replied, "I always come here to think and sometimes the guys and I just sit out here like you and I talking now accept I we don't do this," Then James pinned me to the ground and we kissed for awhile. When I got back up I asked him what he thought we'd do after Hogwarts and he smiled so wide I thought he'd rip his face, and I think we had the most meaningful talk in our lives. James said he wanted to be the best father he could be because his father was always away on business, but he also added just because his father was away didn't mean his father didn't love him. James said he wouldn't want to do that to me, or his children (and let me tell you he smiled a bit when he said children, but I just smiled back). Then James told me about how his Mother had died and the time he spent with his relatives.

Well, according to James our future will be a big house in London, 4 kids, pets, and a whole lot of love.

Dear diary,

Everyone came home safely and classes have started again. James and I sat in the common room till 4:00 AM finishing our work because I've had no time, and the only reason why is because I spend all my time with him. The first day everyone was back we had a snowball fight, and I have a hunch James told all his friends about us out there. I told Apryl everything (in excruciating detail) today.

I am so glad James finally broke the ice because I get passing grades on group work now. The Gryffindor quidditch team pulverized Hufflepuff 170 to 10, and the party is still rolling on, but I told everyone I was tired after my late night homework fiasco.

January 15

Dear diary,

I think I'll ask James where he, Remus, Peter, and Sirius go every month or so. I am not very nosey, but I'm his love. I mean how hard could it be to tell me? Instead of going to the lake this weekend James took me through one of the secret passages, and through it there was a bathroom! Then James turned on one of the faucets and it turned into a beautiful stream with flowers, frogs, and fireflies. You know the whole nine yards. He said that the Marauders never much liked it because they weren't into pretty romantic places, but said it seemed like a perfect dating environment. James was right too I think I could've stayed there all night with him, but he had quidditch practice the next day for their final match against Ravenclaw.

I could have slapped Professor Rorret too because he gave James detention for putting a curse on Severus, even though it was clear Severus cast a spell on him first. Then he saw my mouth open as if to say something (but really in shock) and automatically took 25 points from Gryffindor. Of course Sirius made it even worse by saying it was Severus' fault and James was defending himself, but he got a detention and 50 points from Gryffindor. What an outrage!

Dear diary,

Today is Dad's birthday so I sent him his proffered wizarding candy, peppermint twist, and a card with my love. I also sent my mother an owl telling her about James. I am very close to my mother. I had James sign Dad's card and the letter to my mother. James said he couldn't wait to meet her since his mother passed away a few years ago. Gryffindor beat Ravenclaw 150 to 80. That's their closest win yet, but they still won. James caught the snitch with a spectacular dive missing Sirius by what must have been inches. I was so happy they won the Quidditch cup and for the 5^th year straight. As soon as James came off the field, I kissed him. That was the first time I kissed James in front of at least a hundred students. Apryl did the same to Sirius, and at exactly the same time! I thought McGonagall would surely blow her top, but she simply told us to save our show for later. I think she likes James and I, but I don't know about Sirius and Apryl. Apryl also got to fill in that game for Alexia Spinnet because she didn't feel well. Apryl played magnificently as a fill-in chaser. I am certain next year Apryl may finally get a permanent spot on the team.

Dear diary,

Today was Sirius' birthday. James, Remus, Peter, Apryl, the quidditch team, and I got Sirius a new broom. James also threw in a note saying he could borrow his invisibility cloak for a night with Apryl anytime. Sirius was so happy! You should've seen his face.

I finally got around to asking James about where the Marauders went every month or so and he took me back to the secret passage with the bathroom. There James said they were Animagi, he was a stag, Peter a rat, and Sirius a dog. James said they kept Remus company every full moon. I had to kiss him, and I did for at least 5 minutes. Then I stopped and said, "That is the sweetest thing anyone could've done and the hardest, but you did it, just to keep your friend company in his time of most needed company, and even though it could have been dangerous, you did." And I really don't know if James knew I was going to kiss him if he said so or just hoped I would, but he smiled and said yeah I guess it was kind of dangerous. James is too smart because I did kiss him some more.

We finally went back to the tower and Sirius just stood there even though it was only 10, and he said, "Where the hell have you been Prongs I need your cloak",(with a sarcastic annoyance) then he covered his mouth like he was poisoned. Then James whispered, "It's Ok Lily knows." I thought Sirius would be mad, but he lightly smiled and called for Apryl and they left. They still aren't back either.

Dear diary,

I can't believe it's already valentines day, and this year I even have a boyfriend! I got Mom's owl return a few days ago congratulating me on such a handsome and pleasant boy. Mom also said to invite James for the Easter holidays. When I told James he smiled and said he'd love to.

That day I got a huge bouquet of lilies, a box of chocolate truffles, and a poem in a card (hand written by James) reading,

I adore you my sweet Tiger Lily, my dearest love

Until we join in a world above

I can't wait to see what our future holds

I have never read such a beautiful poem. He also called me Tiger Lily from then on. I wrote him a card, but since I'm not a poet there's really nothing special about it. I also bought him a box of chocolate hearts.

He told me to meet him in the common room tonight at 11:00 PM. I can only guess where he'll take me or what we'll do. I also can't help but wonder if Sirius fought him for the invisibility cloak, but I doubt it. Apryl got a poem from Sirius as well. I could tell James helped him because of the way the letters rhymed, but James always helps his friends. Apryl also got roses from Sirius.

I also got a letter from Amos Diggory, but I didn't even open it. That boy just never knows when to stop I guess.

Dear diary,

I couldn't wait to tell you what happened. James told me to skip dinner or not to eat very much. I had a hunch after that he was taking me to dinner somehow and I was right. He took me back to the tree he carved our names in and when I got there I saw two perfect lamb dinners, a rose between us, and a picnic blanket under it. James said he saw the house elves this morning (grinning). I had a really great time too. We stayed there for hours talking kissing and eating. The kissing was the best part because once when we kissed I felt something in my mouth and to my surprise it was James' tongue. I asked him what that was and where he learned it, after telling him I liked it. He said it was French, and Sirius said that's how he kissed Apryl. I just smiled and before the night was over we could've been crowned the best French kissers in the school with all our practice. We talked in between kisses about the holidays, and I said I couldn't wait for him to meet my Mom and Dad. James said he couldn't wait either and hoped they'd like him. I told him my parents would love him, but to pay no attention to Petunia and Vernon.

Dear diary,

After I told Apryl about Valentine's day, Apryl told me Sirius did kiss her that way, and she loved it! Apryl also said that they left early, and followed the rules coming back before 11:00 PM. I told her that was very unlike her, but then she said Sirius gave her a ride on his new Shooting Star. I asked her if she was trying out for quidditch next year and she smiled and nodded. Sirius had told her that with James as captain he was sure she'd make it. On the previous Thursday I went for a bath in the prefects bathroom and you'll never guess whom I found there. James!!!! I took one look at him and said this was wrong, but then he told me he was in his swim trunks and I had to go back to my room for my bathing suit. That was the best bath I'd had in a long time. I have missed out on the luxury of someone else washing my hair and massaging my shoulders. I never noticed how big the tub was either till James did a couple of laps in it. I asked him if he brought the invisibility cloak and thank God he did because if anyone knew two prefects were there at the same time we'd be dead for sure, but we made it out ok.

I never sent Mom a letter telling her about that surprise either.

Dear diary,

I have been going with Sirius, James, and Apryl to the quidditch field to cheer Apryl on while she got some free quidditch lessons as a chaser. I sometimes feel bad that Remus and Peter get left behind, but then remember they get James all day, I just get him all night. We all made plans over the Easter holiday to meet at the Leaky Cauldron for dinner at least once.

You know I found something out yesterday that really scared me. I found out yesterday Candy Caldwell, a seventh year, was diagnosed pregnant by Madame Pomfrey. I hope that isn't me next year with the way James' and my relationship is going.

Dear diary,

I talked to James about Candy when we went to the lake last night and he looked into my eyes and said (I quote), "Lily, I would never ask anything of you that you were worried about doing, and if anything ever did happen to you I would be with you when you needed me most." That thought really made me feel better. I knew James wouldn't ever pressure me into something, but that doesn't mean I didn't like the reassurance. Candy's boyfriend was Amos Diggory, and I had to laugh when I heard that. James gave me the funniest look then laughed right along with me. Last I heard they were engaged and aloud to complete their seventh year.

I sent Mom a letter with confirmation of James' stay, and she said she was looking forward to it. I told James to ignore my Father as well because I knew he would warn James about the distance he was to keep from me at night. With that in mind I chose not to tell Mom about Candy. James told me his Dad was in Normandy settling some business for the ministry and thought it was a splendid idea with apologies of his absence. So now diary, I'm packing my things for a trip home tomorrow.

Dear diary,

The train ride home yesterday was very fun. James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, Apryl and I all shared a car. We played games of exploding snap and ate candy till we couldn't take it any longer. I felt like I was back in my first year. That feeling was mainly because of the fact that since Christmas eve James has kissed me at least once a day, but he missed that day. I really felt like he was just my funny friend James Potter on that train. I liked it even though I prefer brave, daring, prince charming James Potter.

When we got back to my house he looked at it , a regular two-story family size house, and said it was very nice. He explained his house was very big, but empty with just him and occasionally his father. James stayed in the guest bedroom, and not much to my surprise Dad stayed in there a good 30 minutes before they both emerged.

I really hope that what he said didn't make it sound like he thought James a criminal,

Dear diary,

That evening at dinner James talked with my parents. James answered questions like where are you going after Hogwarts, where do you live, what do your parents do. You know the usual boyfriend drill. I feel very confident James passed with an excellent score though. Since the invisibility cloak didn't require magic to work he used that to get into my room and talk to me at night.

I asked him what my father had told him when he first arrived and James said (I quote), "Your father must love you very much Lily because he said he worries about you while your at Hogwarts and the wizarding world since he can't ever go to those places. Your father admitted he was glad that I was looking after you while you were there. Then again also said if he found out I looked after you too much he might worry more." I hugged James for telling me this and then wondered if he left out anything, but slapped myself mentally saying, "who cares".

Dear diary,

The last week and a half was wonderful. I showed James all around my small town in the Muggle world. James spent most of his time in a large Wizarding town called Gryffington, and on a street called Godric Hollow, where his grandmother lives. We went for ice cream Tuesday, shopping Wednesday, and today we went to one of the parks and had a picnic. I asked him why he spent so much time with his Grandmother. James told me she was fatally ill and the mansion was very lonely by himself. We also sent owls to Sirius, Apryl, Peter, and Remus asking if they could join us Saturday at the Leaky Cauldron.

Dear diary,

We got everyone's reply but Peter's back on Friday, and today we went to the Leaky Cauldron. We had a wonderful time there. Sirius and Apryl said they had visited their relatives and each other over break, and Remus said he has made friends with a Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, Professor Cortet who he loves to visit and talk about DADA with. James and I stayed until 11:00 PM when my Mom and Dad came to get us after their shopping in London. Mom said she bought me a dress while she was in London and said she couldn't imagine it looking better on anyone else but me. I told James tonight about going to church next Sunday, Easter. James had a lot of questions about church, he knew about God and all those guys, but had never been to a church service. So the next day James, Mom, and I set out and found James a suit for church. James thanked us for helping him because he had never bought a suit from a Muggle's store and Wizard's shops are totally different.

Dear diary,

James and I looked stunning at church this morning. At least five of my Mom's friends stopped to say hi and meet James. After church James kept going on about how beautiful churches were and how fascinating our ceremonies were. Also when we got our Easter gifts it was the best hour of my life. Our friends sent us loads of candy and Sirius gave James a sneak-o-scope. Mom and Dad gave me candy and a music box that played "Once Upon a December", my favorite song, and James got candy and framed picture of Sirius, Remus, Apryl , and I outside the Leaky Cauldron, my mother took. This was the best Easter yet because James was there and I was too, and tonight we snuck out in his invisibility to the lake down the road and made out under a tree he also marked Lily and James Forever.

Dear diary,

Just as the holiday came it went and we were back at platform 9¾. All our friends were waiting along with us on the platform. On the ride home we kissed since we didn't on the ride up. Remus just looked at James and said. James there's and empty car in the back if you want it, then laughed. James said that's OK, but thanks, then laughed too along with everyone else. We played exploding snap and talked more about our holidays. James and I only told people we carved our names in the tree and skipped "the making out" part. Once we got back to the castle we ate our feast and retreated to our dorms.

Dear diary,

I received an owl today from Mom and Dad saying we're going on vacation in America so Mom and Dad can see my Aunt and Uncle, and I can go to the beach and bring James if I'd like. When I told James he looked at me and said he couldn't keep living off my parents, but thanked me and said he wanted me to come and stay at his mansion. I sent Mom and Dad an owl the next day telling them thanks anyway, but James has asked me to stay with him this summer in his mansion. It seems everyday this week I walk into the common room I see Apryl studying for her O.W.L.S. Apryl always was an overachiever, but I loved her anyway. Last Saturday James told me he loved the lake at Hogwarts so much because he had one behind the mansion and it reminded him of home. Then he told me we could carve our names in one of the trees beside it at his house as well.(and winked)

Dear diary,

I went to the prefects bathroom to take a bath again, but this time wore my suit just incase. When I got there though James wasn't there and it wasn't empty, but what I saw was very startling. I saw Apryl and Sirius (who isn't a prefect) in the tub, but two swimsuits by the wall. I don't think they noticed me though. So I turned toe and ran back to the tower and figured I could wait. I waited up till 3:00 then couldn't stand it. I went to the boys dormitory woke James up and dragged him into the common room. He had barely opened his eyes when he kissed me and asked what I wanted at 3:00 AM. I told him the sight I saw in the bathroom. He ran up and checked to see if his invisibility cloak was gone and sure enough it was gone. James swore a couple times then said, "how could he." I calmed him down and told James that Apryl was too smart and that it would be fine. James was still fuming so we stayed in the common and fell asleep in a chair myself on James' lap.

The next day James saw Sirius and by that time was calm enough to ask him where he was in a civil tone. Sirius told James and told him he was sorry for taking the cloak without asking, but it was short notice, 12:00 AM, and Apryl came and asked him if he would like to go "take a bath".

Apryl told me she went and got Sirius, and said for me not to worry. I had a hunch she'd be careful and she gave me five different examples of how she was careful.

Then James and I talked confirming that we shouldn't act like parents, they're probably going to be fine, and that we should knock before we go into rooms.

Dear diary,

I have to take my O.W.L.S tomorrow and I am about to pee my robes because of how nervous I am. James and I decided in the library today we'd go back tonight when no one was there and study some more. Sometimes I think about what Sirius and Apryl did and wonder if I should, but then Candy pops into my mind and I don't care anymore. Professor Rorret informed us that we should also study for his exams seeing as he claims they'll be the hardest in fifty years.

Dear diary,

I actually think that I did quite well on my O.W.L.S. James jokes that I'll graduate before he does though. I don't believe that because James has to be smart to be a prefect. Even though he's the only prefect to break every school rule at least twice. Thank God Dumbledore knows why though. When we studied in the library we didn't get through half our books, but we did kiss once after every page. Candy is starting to get a little bigger around the middle too. The one thing that would bother me in her case is being fat for graduation and having everyone come up and listen to my stomach making me repeatedly late for class.

Dear diary,

Mom and Dad said that I could stay with James on the condition of writing to them at least 3 times a week, and said they're taking Petunia and Vernon instead. I knew Mom would offer me the chance to go to America first since it fascinates me the most. Petunia's only going because Mom's paying for her ticket.

When I told James at dinner he hugged me so hard I thought I would throw up all over his robes. James must be very excited because he listed at least 50 things we could do this summer. Including tagging along on one of his Father's business trips. James said his Father's boss adores him and always offers on the holidays.

I can't wait to be with James this summer. We'll learn so much about each other, and living with each other almost makes it seem like we were married. Maybe we will be someday.

Dear diary,

All my exams are complete and I think I did well. My worst will probably be History of Magic because I always fall asleep during Professor Binns' lectures, and he had the nerve of an oral exam. Tomorrow I leave on the train to platform 9¾ with my beloved James for a summer of love. Ahh, I can't wait until I'm in his arms again which could be tomorrow. I have packed all my things, and I'm ready to go. Mom and Dad sent all my clothes ahead to the Potter mansion. I wonder how James can be so well off, but isn't a snob like Lucius Malfoy. Oh, by the way Apryl got top marks on her O.W.L.S despite the Sirius matter. James and I also passed with flying colors. I hope either Apryl or I am head girl and that James make head boy because everyone knows James really does deserve it.

June 7 (Last entry)

Dear diary,

This is my last entry before I get a new diary. I am writing from James' mansion in my bedroom. He must have given me the nicest one too. I even have my own mater bathroom that I share with James. James told me the room was meant for a sibling, but his mother never bore anymore. On the train ride I was battered with jokes about James and I spending the summer together, but I never cared because James is with me and that's the only thing that matters. Mom and Dad said goodbye at King's Cross outside the platform before they went to the airport, and Petunia and Vernon made an appearance. All they did though was make an appearance because my sister hates anything magical and I guess James counts into that. My hearts not broken I'd rather have my sister silent when my friends see her than insulting them.

James and I took a cab to his grandmother's house first because James doesn't know when she'll die and really wanted her to see me. When I met her, the small weak woman gave me a smile I thought almost impossible in her state. We stayed for two hours then left for the mansion. The mansion still took sometime to get to though. I think we traveled in the taxi for about another forty-five minutes or somewhere about there.

The mansion is a beautiful block structure that must be about six centuries old. James told me that it had been in the family since it was built and that the oldest Potter of the decade goes the rights to the place. James told me in a sarcastically sad voice that his cousin Daniel was the next owner. I asked him why he didn't want it, and he said, "I have no need for a mansion with ghosts and a capacity for thirty people. Just the love that can be produced by thirty people shared between a couple or their family." Then James kissed me out on the lawn.

I knew he was right and I hope to dream of a house with the Potters (including me) and our family of five that James mentioned earlier this year to me. That's all I can wish for.

This has been another fine year at Hogwarts and finding the love of my life was it's best journey,
