Author's Note:
The letter, I hope fitted with the story, I am hoping that this one really touches people. It's short, I know, but thats not the point. I'd love to pay a tribute to Queen, as the italic print, is all of their music, all of my inspiration...please review...I need feedback :)

Look into my eyes and you'll see
I'm the only one
You've captured my love
Stolen my heart
Changed my life
Every time you make a move
You destroy my mind
And the way you touch
I lose control and shiver deep inside
You take my breath away...

She lay on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. She was remembering, she was making memories; she was embedding in her mind those last few weeks, those last words. Her face was tear-stained, her hands were shaking. His face floated in the air above her, she reached out, if fluttered, it vanished. Her eyes were stinging. She wondered how it had lasted, how she had become so attached. She had to break free; she had to let the past burn with his body. She couldn't let it interfere...

So sad her eyes
Smiling dark eyes
So sad her eyes
As it began

She has thrown the past behind her now. There may be a hole in her life forever, but the hole there lies, as a memory. Long gone are the tears, she tries to smile now, tries rely on the memory that nothing had happened. No one would care, she is alone now. She has Ron, but he doesn't understand, he never will, he misses him as well. He was like a brother, but he had never felt the way that she did. Never loved him the way she did. She attended a funeral, but it only hurt her more, only caused her more pain, as she saw the last of him float away into the currents of the ocean. She had wanted to end it then, she had wanted to do the same as the ashes, drown in the deep blue of the ocean. But a hand had held her back, and a voice whispered in her ear...

'He wouldn't want that, you know, hold your breath, maybe one day, but not today.'

That had held her back, one voice, had stopped her, when she had turned to face him, his eyes were lifeless, the iris was no longer silver, it was now a dirty grey. You could see the grief that had weighed down on him. He didn't want this either, but it wasn't his fault, his murder had saved many other lives. He'd turned away; he didn't want her to see him crying. It was her turn to comfort, she didn't understand, she was always the one having comfort trickle through her like a mist, she had never been the one comforting. So instead, she had hugged him. His shoulders were limp. It was obvious that it had helped.

'Remember the good things, not why you murdered him, the good things, the things you want to remember.'

What the hell we fighting for?

Just surrender and it won't hurt at all.

We're just waiting for the hammer to fall.

Weeks had gone by, she still had the scars. He fell ill, he was given three weeks. It was irreversible, even with magic, and Muggle therapies. Her whole life was falling apart. The ones she loved were disappearing around her. She had to live his last weeks as if they were his only. Days had gone past so fast it was as if God had sped up the clock as fast as it could go, as to shorten her time with him. Three weeks later, he could not move, but he kept living, and she never left his side, Madame Pomfrey attended to him hourly, and she wept, and his eyes closed. His time was drawing near. He knew.

'You know that I will never leave you.' His eyes had closed; his last breath was light, and then it stopped. Her whole body seized up. Her hand instinctively flew to his throat. No pulse. Not again. Her life was not stable enough to cope. Her head rested on his chest. Her hand gripped his. She felt metal, and drawing it from his fingers, she saw a chain. It was silver, like his eyes. His hair was damp from sweat, he had known, she knew he did. She told Madame Pomfrey. And she left, she couldn't stay, she had to get away. Her last ever message was folded on the table in the Gryffindor tower. It was short, it was for Ron, she knew it was wrong to leave him, but he had Ginny, he had his family, alone with parents, wasn't enough for her, she needed love, and she knew where to go.

Hours had passed. Ron had returned, he had found the letter; he hadn't believed it. He threw it aside, until he heard her unmistakable sobs, he saw her leave the edge and disappear, his legs had given way, and he had collapsed, in a dead faint, only to come to after he had heard the scream of her sister. She had seen her. She had not been able to cope either, she had returned to the tower.

The letter was lain on her chest, as she was burned, her corpse was scattered on the waves, his the same day, further along the beach, she would return to Harry now, she could see him, hold him, talk to him, even if he wasn't real, she was with him now. She was with Draco as well, she had them both back, she was complete, she was whole, she could survive.

The letter floated with the ashes, her last words, his last words floating in her mind.

So dear friends
Your love has gone
Only tears to dwell upon
I dare not say
As the wind must blow
So a love is lost
A love is won
Go to sleep and dream again
Soon your hopes will rise
And then from all this gloom
Life can start anew
And there'll be no crying soon

Queen

I cannot stay here, I have to leave, I have to hope that you will understand. Do not try and stop me, when you find this, I will be gone, to not try to join me, I have to face this alone.

He had told her never to leave him, but he had also told her to remain with them, not to follow him.

'Don't leave me, don't leave them, don't leave anyone, I know you can sense me, please, don't betray my love and follow me.'

She had followed, and he had greeted. Things of the past, things that didn't count, they were together, and nothing could part them...

You win you lose

It's a chance you have to take with love

And now you say its over, and I'm falling apart

It's a hard life,

To be two lovers together

To love and live forever in each others hearts...

Forever...
