Chapter One:
Sanura Crow sat in her living room reading a book when her fireplace took on a strange glow. She jumped up poised to fight when a small man with long silver hair and half moon spectacles appeared before her.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my home?" she demanded.
"Hello Sanura, My name is Albus Dumbledore. I am the Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I have come to ask your help dear lady,"
Sanura let down her fighting stance and looked at Dumbledore trying to decide whether or not he was telling the truth. She decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.
"You've got one minute to explain," she said folding her arms over her chest.
"Very well. I am the headmaster at a prestigious school for young witches and wizards. We are in need of a professor for a certain subject and I feel you would be the perfect person to teach it," he explained.
"What subject is that?" she asked.
"Defense Against the Dark Arts," he said.
"What makes you think I'd be qualified to teach such a class?" she questioned.
"Sanura, you are the most renowned Vampire Slayer in the country," he said with a grin. " I am well aware of your background and training. I know that the slayers are well versed in the dark arts of both the magical world and the Muggle world so that you will be prepared and protected. I also know that you've been given a potion that allows you to cast protection spells. Naturally you would be perfect for the job,"
She smiled at Dumbledore. "Have a seat Professor," she said motioning toward an armchair. Dumbledore sat down and Sanura reclaimed her seat on the sofa.
"How did you find me?" she inquired.
"Our Ministry of Magic makes it a habit of tracking all vampire slayers in case there's ever a problem we can't handle. When I mentioned to the Minister of Magic that I was in need of an instructor he suggested that I contact you,"
"You do realize that I'm a mere Muggle don't you?" she questioned with a frown.
"Yes young lady I'm aware that you are a Muggle but you know more about the dark arts than most wizards in our world. And you are trained in hand-to-hand combat. Our students need intense training right now,"
"What's the catch?" she asked raising an eyebrow.
"There is no catch. You will come and live at Hogwarts. You will teach the students about the dark arts and ways to beat them. Our Potions Master will supply you with the potion you need to take in order to cast the protection spells you know and you will train the students in Muggle combat. That is, if you agree to take the position."
"You mean I have a choice?"
"Of course you have a choice. I am not here to force you to do anything."
"Well in that case I accept. When do I leave and how do I get there?"
"Here," he said handing her a ruby handled dagger. "This is a port key. It is set for noon tomorrow. Just be sure to hold it in your hand and it will transport you directly to the school. Be sure to set all of your belongings that you wish to take with you in front of the fireplace, I will send someone to fetch them after you arrive in my office."
"That's it, I just pick this dagger up at noon and it will take me where I need to go?"
"Standard Issue Slayer port key," Dumbledore said a twinkle in his eyes. "Welcome to our staff Sanura, I'm thrilled you've decided to accept my offer," having said that Dumbledore threw a pinch of powder into the fireplace, mumbled a location, stepped into the fire, and disappeared.
Sanura stood in the middle of her living room for a moment staring in disbelief at what she had just seen. The grandfather clock in the background chimed the hour and she realized that she didn't have much time to pack. She placed the dagger on the mantle and springing into action Sanura raced up the stairs to her bedchamber to pack.

Severus Snape paced furiously inside Dumbledore's office. He wanted to speak to him about being turned down for the Defense Against the Dark Arts job once more. Just as he was about to leave Dumbledore appeared in front of the fireplace.
"Severus, I was expecting you, have a seat," Dumbledore said.
"Is it true?" Severus demanded.
"Is what true?" Dumbledore said sitting in his favorite armchair.
"Did you truly hire a Muggle to instruct the Defense Against the Dark Arts class?" Severus demanded.
"I did," Dumbledore said solemnly. "She's not an ordinary Muggle Severus,"
"What makes her so special?"
"She is the most renowned Vampire Slayer in the country. You've heard of their extensive training. She's perfect for the job." Dumbledore said.
"But she's a Muggle!" he protested. Dumbledore raised a hand to silence him.
"Yes, she is a Muggle. But this Muggle can do things that neither you nor I nor most wizards can do. This Muggle can fight without magic," Dumbledore said. "And regardless of how much magical training someone has occasionally a Muggle weapon or tactic is best,"
Severus slumped down into a chair and glared at Dumbledore. He hated admitting that Dumbledore was right and that hiring this woman may actually be a good idea. He sighed deeply and rose from his seat.
"Severus, there is one thing I do need from you," Dumbledore said.
"What is that?" he asked.
"This girl has been taking a potion that enables her to cast defense spells," Dumbledore said. "She needs to go to Ollivanders to purchase a wand and she will need you to supply her with the potion," he said.
"A Muggle? Purchase a wand?" Severus questioned.
"Just give him this note," he said handing Severus a folded piece of parchment. "He will understand,"
"I am sorry Albus," Severus began, "I do not have time to escort this girl around Diagon Alley."
"Severus you know as well as I that you are the only one with time. You haven't changed your lessons since you began teaching here and you've been working all summer. I think this would give you an excellent opportunity to get out of your dungeon and take a break." Dumbledore said. "It shouldn't take you more than a few hours."
"Oh all right," Severus said reluctantly. "When will she be arriving?"
"Tomorrow afternoon. You can just stop in here to get her," he said.
"Fine. I shall arrive after lunch,"
"Excellent." Dumbledore said. Severus turned to leave. "Thank you Severus," Dumbledore called behind him. "I'm sure you will do your best to make her feel welcome,"
Severus mumbled a reply and returned to his quarters.
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
As soon as he reached his quarters Severus walked over to his bookshelf and scanned its contents. Within minutes he found the book he was looking for. It was a book that contained every detail anyone could ever desire about the vampire slayers. He returned to his living room and sat in his favorite armchair near the fireplace. He read for hours inhaling every word so he knew exactly what to expect from the newest addition to the staff. One line in the book surprised him.
"Each slayer has a bit of magic inside him or herself, it is not enough to be considered a wizard or witch. They are an elite group of people that are destined to protect. They are chosen at birth by their bloodline." He read aloud.
Severus continued to read the book until his eyelids began to droop. Looking at his watch he realized that it was almost three am and that he should at least attempt sleep. Closing the book and rubbing his eyes Severus trudged into his bedchamber.

Sanura finished packing and sat down on the edge of her bed. The room looked empty and unlived in but in a way she was happy to be leaving. She had been getting restless and wondered when she would get a chance to escape. She cocked her head to one side and counted the chimes that drifted up from the living room, it was four am.
"Damn you'd better get some sleep or you'll look like death tomorrow," she told herself. Looking around in dismay she realized that she had packed all but one of her blankets and pillows. She shook her head and laughed at herself. Hoisting the last box from the floor she trudged back down the stairs and sat it in front of the fireplace. She had packed only the things she felt were necessary, figuring that anything else she needed she could purchase.
"Sanura, you're going to need wizard money," she told herself aloud. She made a mental note to discuss this with Dumbledore. She had gone to an ATM and emptied out her entire Muggle bank account and everything else she could take care of so late at night. She yawned and rolled her head from one side to the other in a vain attempt to rid herself of the crook in her neck. She looked around critically making sure that she had packed everything she needed. She had packed all of her dangerous items such as swords, daggers, crossbows, and silver stakes in her footlocker and she inspected it being sure that all three of the heavy-duty padlocks were clicked shut and that she had the key. She looked up at the grandfather clock in the corner and decided that despite the fact that it was not necessary it was coming with her as well. She could not move it on her own so she attached a note to the top box in front of the fireplace and a note to the grandfather clock instructing that it was to be sent to Hogwarts as well. She yawned again and paced the floor fighting sleep. Beginning to doze off in mid step she took the only blanket she had forgotten to pack and curled up on her sofa to get some rest.
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
Sanura woke with a start when the grandfather clock chimed eleven am.
"Oh damn! I'm going to be late!" she huffed as she jumped off the sofa and ran up the stairs. She hopped in the shower and was dressed and ready in record time. She ran to her bedroom and ran a comb through her auburn hair, pulling it back with a butterfly clip. Donning some light makeup she dressed in black pants and a tank top. The outfit reminded her of something she would expect an Arabian princess to wear. She found her black sandals under the bed and slipped them on. Glancing in the mirror one final time and deciding she was pleased with her appearance she ran downstairs. It was eleven fifty two.
Sanura felt the butterflies in her stomach begin to flutter and she took a deep breath. "Calm down," she told herself placing a pair of silver moon earrings in her ears followed by a silver snake ear cuff. " You've been through worse than this," a piece of her hair had fallen out of the barrette and she left it alone. Her bangs, no matter how long she let them grow, never stayed in place. Realizing she could stall no longer she walked over to the mantle and taking a deep breath she took the dagger into her hand.

Chapter Two:
She felt as if someone had thrown a rope around her waist and had spun her around. She closed her eyes and relaxed waiting for the feeling to go away. When she opened her eyes a few seconds later she was in a brightly lit office. She looked around to see a very sick looking bird perched on the corner of the desk. Feathers were everywhere and it looked as if it would fall over dead any minute.
"What a peculiar animal," she said as she walked cautiously toward it. Without warning the bird burst into flames. Sanura jumped back and then she realized what it was. "A phoenix," she breathed. She watched the bird emerge from its ashes. She still held the ruby dagger in her hand but she was so used to holding weapons that it did not occur to her to place it on the desk. Suddenly she got the feeling that she was not alone. Before she could turn around a cold hand grasped her wrist.
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
Severus Snape looked at his pocket watch as he walked toward Professor Dumbledore's office. It was a little past noon and he wanted to be sure that he would be on time to meet this new professor. Mumbling a password at the stone gargoyle in front of the office he strode through the door to see a tall thin woman dressed in strange garb standing with her back to him, a dagger in her hand. He assumed that she was there to do harm to Dumbledore so he walked cautiously behind her deciding to attempt to remove the weapon from her hand. He grabbed her wrist. Without warning she whirled around and grabbing Severus' wrist she flipped his feet over his head. He landed on the floor hard unsure of how to react. He scrambled to his feet and the young lady kicked him squarely in the chest and pinned him against the wall placing the dagger at his throat. She had fire in her eyes and looked as if she would kill him without hesitation.
"Who are you?" she demanded. He did not have time to respond. A chuckle from the doorway made both Severus and the young lady turn their heads to see Professor Dumbledore standing in the doorway, a twinkle in his eyes and a broad smile on his face.
"Welcome Sanura," he said walking over to her. "You can let him go," he said gently, reaching up slowly to remove the dagger from her hand. She backed up reluctantly and glared at Severus.
"Now do you understand why I hired her?" Dumbledore said looking to Severus.
"Rather tense young lady isn't she?" he questioned as he straightened his robes and returned her harsh stare.
"Don't you even sneak up on me like that again!" she told Severus. "I could have killed you,"
Severus said nothing. He was attempting to decide as to whether or not it was safe for him to breath let alone move past her. Dumbledore realized that neither Sanura nor Severus would move unless instructed.
"Why don't you both come and have a seat?" Dumbledore said as he moved toward his desk. Sanura turned and followed suit and after a moment Severus too sat down.
"I suppose I should properly introduce the two of you," Dumbledore said chuckling again. "Sanura Crow, this is our Potions Master Severus Snape,"
She looked to him and nodded. "Pleased to meet you Professor Snape," she said coldly.
"Likewise," Severus mumbled.
"Severus is going to be escorting you to Diagon Alley so that you may purchase a wand and anything else you require," Dumbledore explained. Sanura did not contain her dislike of the idea. She rolled her eyes and groaned loudly.
"I need to know how to go about converting my Muggle money into magical money," she said looking to Dumbledore.
"Severus will take you to Gringotts so you can take care of your finances," Dumbledore said. He looked at his pocket watch. "Well you two should get going," he said. "Sanura, I will be sending someone to fetch your belongings, they should be in your quarters when you return."
"Where are my quarters?" she questioned.
Dumbledore handed her a small silver key. "Severus will show you to your quarters when you return." He said smiling at her. She rose from her seat.
"First don't you think you should tell me where her quarters are?" Severus said in an annoyed tone. He was not here to baby-sit this Muggle woman who was obviously going to be a handful.
"Oh, of course," Dumbledore said. "They are on the third floor." Dumbledore said. "Go to the dragon statue in the hallway and pull down on his left arm."
Severus nodded in understanding and rose from his seat. He walked swiftly over to Sanura who stood motionless beside her chair.
"Come with me," he said and he walked out the door. Sanura frowned and followed.
"This is going to be a long day," she mumbled to herself.

Chapter Three:
The walk to the Quidditch Pitch seemed eternal. Severus was too stubborn to start a conversation with her but had many questions he wanted to ask.
"How did you become a slayer?" He finally began.
She looked at him as if he had asked a trick question and she was unsure of how to answer. "Chosen at birth by bloodline," she said as if reciting a textbook.
"I'm sure your family was proud," he said sarcastically.
"I'm sure you have no damn clue what you are talking about," she snapped. Her stare was harsh and cold. Severus shivered.
"Well I'm sure that this year will prove to be quite interesting." Severus began. "I am quite curious to know how you managed to get the privilege of teaching the darks arts class,"
"Dumbledore came to my home and asked. He said that the minister of magic recommended me," she told him tonelessly.
"I see. They would rather give an important job like that to a mere Muggle woman rather than a wizard who has earned it," he said bitterly.
"What exactly are you getting at Professor?" she snapped.
Severus could contain his anger and jealousy no longer. He stopped suddenly, turned to her and exclaimed, "I am merely suggesting that I have been a professor at Hogwarts for many years and I feel entitled to the position that you have managed to acquire. I don't think it is very fair," he said.
She too stopped walking. "Fair? You want to talk about fair?" she said angrily. "Okay, let's go into fair. Is it fair that at the age of twelve I was taken from my family and I had to sit and watch them die because of the blood that ran through my veins? Is it fair that just because my father wanted to protect me that they killed him so I could take my place as a slayer? Is it fair that everyone I've every loved has been killed in front of me because of what I am?" tears were welling up in her eyes but she would not let herself cry. Not in front of this arrogant, self-centered bastard who obviously had no clue what life was like for some people. "Don't you ever talk to me about fair you self-centered, self-righteous, over-blown pompous, arrogant bastard," she choked. "You have no idea what's fair."
Severus took a step back in shock. He had not expected her to react so violently. He had not meant to upset her and he realized that he was being everything that she had just called him. She turned away from him trying to blink back the tears that had welled up in her eyes. She took a deep breath and blinked again. She would be okay; she didn't need to cry. Only weak people cried. She realized that Severus' gaze was fixed upon her so she decided to face him once more.
"Yes?" she asked angrily.
"Pardon?" he said quite confused.
"You're staring at me," she snapped.
"Oh. I apologize." He said diverting his gaze. They began walking again. They walked for a few moments. Reaching their destination, he turned to her and said, "I'm sorry that I have been less than hospitable."
She looked him in the eyes as if searching to be sure he was sincere. Severus tried to hold her gaze but found himself looking away.
"Are you always this selfish and cruel?" she asked after a moment. He looked at her surprised that she had asked such a question.
"I suppose. It has never been brought to my attention before," he admitted.
"Well maybe you should try to be a little nicer." She said matter-of-factly. "People wouldn't hate you so much if you were a little more human."
Hypocrite, she said to herself. Be a little more human? You won't even cry. You haven't been human for years. You and Severus are alike.
Severus took a broom into his hand and said, "After I mount the broom you will have to hop on the back and hold onto me." Sanura made a face as if the idea repulsed her.
"Are you serious?"
"Quite," he said shortly and offered his hand to help her. She took it, shook her head and hopped onto the back of the broom.
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
Dumbledore sat back in his chair and closed his eyes. He chuckled to himself wondering if Sanura and Severus had managed to become friends. He realized that this year would prove to be quite interesting and hoped that he wouldn't be breaking up daily arguments between the two of them. He looked at his watch and realized that they had been gone for almost two hours already.
"Well, maybe Severus has made a friend," he said to himself.
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
Sanura looked around Diagon Alley in awe. The sunlight began to give her a headache almost at once so she reached into her purse and produced a silver pair of purple sunglasses. Never before had she stepped foot inside a magical town with the intent of purchasing items or wandering around. She suddenly felt like a child who had been plunked right in the middle of the biggest toy or candy store in the world. Severus began to walk toward Gringotts and realized that Sanura was still standing rooted on the spot. He walked back over to her and waited for a moment feeling himself become impatient.
"Miss Crow," he began. "This way," he placed his hand on her back to lead her down the street and she followed unaware of his actions. She looked around excitedly and they walked into Gringotts.
"What are those?" she questioned nodding toward one of the goblins.
"Goblins," Severus said. They walked toward the back and Severus approached an especially mean looking goblin with a long hooknose and golden spectacles.
"Good day," he began. "This young lady wishes to convert her Muggle money into magical money," Severus said. Sanura stood rooted to her spot unsure if it was safe to approach the small creature.
"Very well," the goblin said emotionlessly. When Sanura did not move toward the goblin Severus took the small bag she was clutching in her hand and gave it to the goblin. He disappeared behind his counter and within a few minutes he handed a slightly larger bag back to her. She opened it to discover that it was filled with gold and silver coins.
"That's all of it?" she asked finally finding her voice.
"Oh no," the goblin said. "It's much too much for me to fit into one bag. We can hold the rest for you," he said.
"Fine." She agreed. "Is there any paperwork I must fill out?" she asked. He took out a small book and only asked for her name. After this was finished he handed her a small golden key, which she placed on a key ring she had in her purse. She placed the small bag of money in her purse as well and forced a smile. "Thank you," she said to the goblin.
Severus turned to leave with Sanura on his heels. He led her from Gringotts to Ollivander's Wand Shop. She walked into the shop quite confused.
"What are we doing here?" she asked.
"Purchasing you a wand," Severus said.
"But I'm a Muggle," she began. Severus gave her a stern look and she stopped speaking. Before anything else could be said Mr. Ollivander appeared behind the counter.
"Ah, Severus! How nice to see you," he said extending a hand. Severus shook it briefly and then reached inside his robes and handed a piece of parchment to Mr. Ollivander. He read it silently and then looked to Sanura.
"Hello, who might you be?" he asked.
"Sanura Crow," she said quietly.
"And you are here to purchase a wand," Mr. Ollivander said. He took his tape measure out of his pocket and walked over to her. She took a step back, bumping into Severus. "Hold out your wand hand," he instructed.
"My wand hand? I don't have one, I'm a Muggle," she said.
"Are you right handed dear?" Mr. Ollivander asked patiently. She nodded and he took her right hand, lifting it in the air. He then took his tape measure, measured her arm, and looked at the result.
"I'm confused," she said shaking her head and putting her arm down.
"Dear lady, you should have gotten a wand a long time ago," he said shaking his head. "You've got potential."
"How can I have potential? I'm a Muggle," she said again.
"You dear are a special Muggle. You are a slayer. You've got magic in you." he said approaching her with a purple looking wand. He extended the box and she reluctantly took it. She looked to Severus unsure of what to do.
"Wave it," Severus told her. She did as instructed and a flash of red smoke came flying from the wand.
"Nope, not right." Mr. Ollivander said taking the wand from her and placing it back into the box. He disappeared for a moment and reappeared with a black wand that had specks of red in it. Again he extended the box and she took the wand. Closing her eyes she waved it and this time purple smoke filled the room. "Hmm," Mr. Ollivander said to himself taking the wand from her hand and disappearing into the back of the store once more.
"This is hopeless," she said shaking her head. Mr. Ollivander appeared again holding a precious looking velvet box. He unlocked it and handed her a wand made from the bark of a yew tree. She waved it and in an instant felt a tingle in her fingers. Silver and gold sparks flowed freely from the wand and Mr. Ollivander clapped gleefully.
"I should have known!" he said with delight. "Ten inches, yew bark and dragon heartstring." He said. "Hard and strong, just like a slayer is meant to be," he said with a grin. "This particular wand is very special," he said looking at her with a gleam in his silver eyes. "This wand was soaked in the blood of one of the oldest dragons of its time," he said. She shivered.
"That's not good," she said. "I'm a big fan of dragons," she said.
Mr. Ollivander nodded and Sanura purchased the wand. A few moments later she and Severus left the shop.
"Do you require anything else?" he asked her.
"Not that I can think of," she said shaking her head. They walked past Flourish and Blotts book store and an Apothecary. When they approached Madam Malkin's Robes Sanura stopped.
"Should I purchase some of those?" she said pointing to the window. "I don't want to feel out of place," she added.
"Then I suppose you should," Severus said. She walked into the store and a squat witch with a smiled painted on her face greeted them cheerfully.
"Severus, how nice to see you," she said. "And who's your friend?" she asked looking at Sanura.
"This young lady is here to purchase some robes," Severus explained. "She is to teach the defense against the dark arts course this term,"
"Ah, well right this way," Madam Malkin said leading Sanura away. Severus stood awkwardly in the middle of the shop before finding a stool and sitting on it. Looking at his watch he realized that it was half past three. This small excursion was taking longer than expected but Severus found that he didn't mind. He sat quietly and began to drift off when Sanura tapped him on the shoulder, bags in hand.
"Finished?" he inquired.
"Finally," she said. "I hate shopping with a passion," she added. "Let's get out of here,"
Severus hopped off of his stool, waved good-bye to Madam Malkin and he and Sanura exited the shop. He led her toward The Leaky Cauldron and along the way they passed Eeylops owl emporium. She stopped for a moment and looked at the owls, Severus stood behind her feeling tired and worn out despite the fact that he had not done much. Finally they reached The Leaky Cauldron and Severus held out a bottomless bag. She looked at it curiously.
"What's that for?" she asked.
"Place your things inside," he instructed.
"It won't all fit," she protested.
"Yes it will stop arguing with me," he snapped. She did as instructed and watched in awe as her bags shrunk and disappeared into the bottomless bag.
"Nifty," she mumbled. Severus gave her a funny look and handed her the bag. She slung it over her shoulder and they mounted the broom.

The flight back to Hogwarts seemed short. Sanura had no sooner managed to get comfortably situated when they came to a halt in front of the school. They walked through the large oak doors and into the entrance hall. He turned sharply to the left and walked hastily up two flights of stairs and into the third floor corridor. She followed quietly wondering where he was taking her. Stopping abruptly in front of a dragon statue she remembered that her quarters were behind such a dragon. He pulled down on the left arm. The dragon slid to the side revealing a long and narrow passageway.
"Here are your quarters," he said pointing down the hallway. "Just follow the passage until you come to a door. You do have your key don't you?"
She nodded and stepped hesitantly into the hallway. "Thank you for everything Professor," she said politely. Severus nodded and disappeared down the hall and out of sight.

Chapter Four:
Sanura stood in the hallway until Severus disappeared from her sight. Sighing and shaking her head she then turned and headed down the dimly lit hallway. She was quite relieved that as she passed by the unlit torches they burst into flames. By the time she reached the door the entire hallway glowed brilliantly. She found her key and unlocked the door happy to see her grandfather clock had been placed in the corner next to the fireplace. She surveyed the room critically. In the corner across from the door sat a chess game and two chairs. She was amused to discover that the chairs were placed as if they were inviting someone to sit and play. On the mantle above the fireplace a row of candles glowed brilliantly and there was a mirror above it. There was a small coffee table beside the door with a vase of flowers upon it as well as a candy jar filled with assorted candies. She smiled. The room was inviting and cozy. There was also a black velvet sofa and two matching armchairs. She placed her bag onto the sofa and placed her key back inside her purse. Glancing around the room once more she walked toward a doorway at the end of the room. Upon entering she realized that it was a small but convenient kitchen. She left the kitchen and entered her bedchamber. Gasping she looked around the room in surprise. It was beautiful. A large canopy bed that was made from ebony occupied the far wall of the room and it was draped with curtains of a dark green. Beside the bed stood a bedside table, which matched the bed as well as the rest of the furniture. There were two matching wardrobes that occupied the corners of the wall opposite the bed. She opened one of them to find that all of her Muggle belongings had been placed neatly inside. When she opened the second wardrobe she found that some Hogwarts Robes had already been added to her collection of clothing. Placed between the two wardrobes was an ebony dressing table with a matching stool. The jewelry box she had packed had been placed on this table along with all of her perfume. Her makeup had been placed in the drawers. She then turned to the right to discover a set of French doors that led to a balcony. Her smile broadened when she noticed that her punching bag she had packed had been enchanted to hang in mid air. She walked over to it and pushed it around to find that it acted as if it were attached to the ceiling. Her bathroom was the last room she ventured into and it was perfect for her. She smiled and instantly felt as if she had just come home.
**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**~**
Sanura walked back into her living room to gather the things she had purchased in Diagon Alley. She reached into the bag dreading that she would need a spell to undo whatever Severus had done but to her astonishment each thing reclaimed its original size the moment she pulled it from the bag. She hung up the robes she had purchased and pulled her wand from the bag. She looked at the box in her hand and shook her head placing the wand on the bedside table. She was unsure of how she would use a wand but knew that someone would explain it to her when the time was right. She yawned and realized that she was exhausted.
"God I'm tired," she said aloud.
"That's what you get for staying up half the night," said her reflection in the mirror across the room.
She yawned again and looked at her watch. It was quarter past six. "I think I'm already asleep," she said shaking her head once more. Kicking off her sandals and hoisting her feet onto the bed Sanura lay down to sleep.
