Harry rubbed his eyes and yawned, staring at the door to the Potions classroom. He shook his head and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his robe. I should turn around now. There's got to be something against teachers getting students out of bed this late at night... right? he thought to himself. He struggled for a bit longer before he decided he would go into the dungeon; he'd rather deal with false accusations from Snape than have to talk to the Headmaster about this tomorrow.

Harry finally walked into the Potions classroom, his least favorite class - especially in the middle of the night. It's not that he minded mixing a variety of interesting ingredients in his cauldron; it's just that Professor Snape found every reason in the world to pick on his fellow Gryffindors, particularly him.

He rubbed his eyes once again and looked around the dark room for any sign of Snape. Great, it was empty.

"Dammit," he muttered to himself. He turned around to walk back out the door. Snape must have thought it really funny to send Nearly Headless Nick to get him out of bed and make him wander around Hogwarts at night. Not only were there a variety of ghosts that he had to contend with to get down here, but also he had to keep his eyes ready to spot Mrs. Norris, who would let Filch know he was up and wondering around in a kitty heartbeat. Harry scanned the room one more time, just to make sure that it was truly empty. He saw a flash of white-blonde hair from the left corner of the room, and was almost sure that it was the candlelight playing tricks on him. That didn't keep Harry's heart from skipping as his hand went immediately for his wand. Draco walked out from the corner, robes flowing behind him as he crossed his arms over his chest. Great, thought Harry, the only person in this school that I want to see less then Snape.

Draco sneered. "Potter, I didn't think you'd actually show." Harry started to push past him, but Malfoy stood his ground. "I said something to you, Potter."

Harry smirked. "And I didn't respond. Really Malfoy, are you that thick? Now let me past, I'm tired."

"All the better," said Draco.

"What the hell do you want?" spat Harry, exasperated by now.

"You," came Draco's simple reply.

Harry raised an eyebrow. "Sod off, I don't feel like dueling, Draco."

Malfoy rolled his eyes. "Fine, then go."

Draco moved out of the way as Harry went for the door, but it was locked. Upon a quick inspection and a jiggle of the doorknob, Harry found that it had been charmed to stay locked. Before Harry could even get his want to try a counter-curse, Draco had him turned around and pressed against the door. Malfoy pushed his body tight against Harry's, making sure there was no room for movement.

"Now listen," Draco growled, "This will be much less painful if you just go along with it."

Harry started to open his mouth, but Draco cut him off. "Ever since you brushed me off in the entrance hall, I've known you wanted me. Sure, you can tell the wrong sort for yourself." Draco mimicked Harry, a grin playing over his lips.

Harry started again. "Shh! Just listen to me, will you?" Draco pushed closer to him, moving his hands to rest against the wall, on either side of Harry's head. Harry could feel the pressure of Malfoy's chest pushing against his every time the other boy took a breath. "I'm mean because I have to be. I have a weight on my shoulders too, Potter. I come from a family that's known to do horrible things, so how would it look to my Dad if I suddenly became some nancy boy that did nothing but pick flowers and save lives all the time? I have to keep up," Draco said shortly, with a nod of his head. Draco moved his head a bit closer to Harry, a lock of white-blonde hair falling into his eyes and making him much less threatening. "I'm really not all that bad, Potter. Just like deep down, you know that you're not that good. If you were you wouldn't have even wandered out of bed this late." Malfoy moved his head up to Harry's ear. Harry couldn't help but wince as his hands made into fists. "Do you know why we fight, Harry?" Draco asked softly, "For the same reason that Ron and Hermione do. They fight like cats and dogs." Draco paused to grin, "of course, they've been shagging for years."

Harry gasped, but not because he was surprised. Ron was his best friend, so naturally he knew. "But... How? Wait, why?" Harry was definitely going to have to let Ron and Hermione know that their so-called romance wasn't as well hidden as they thought it was. He would just tell them that they weren't hiding it well though, not that he figured that out while his body was pressed up against Draco Malfoy's. If he wasn't so worried, he'd probably be living for the moment just about now.

"Let me answer both of those for you, Potter. How did I know about Granger and Weasley? I have connections, and when they're not screaming at each other, they're always making lovey-dovey eyes. It's not that hard to figure out what they do when no one is looking. Connections are the same way I got you down here to use this classroom. Being a 'bad guy' has its perks, Potter. Now why... That one I can't really answer."

Harry squinted behind his glasses, and couldn't help but shift his body against Draco's. "Being a bad guy has its perks? Where do you get your lines, Malfoy?" Harry asked incredulously. "And besides that, you don't know why you want me?"

"That's what I just said Potter," Malfoy spat.

"You certainly don't act like you want to push me harder up against this wall and snog me," Harry taunted. He regretted it the moment it came out of his mouth, and his body tensed as he pressed his back against the wall.

"That so?" Draco asked. Before Harry could respond, Malfoy did indeed have him pressed up against the wall, and his mouth was tight against Harry's. It was a brutal, bruising kiss that made Harry's soft lips press against his teeth painfully. When Draco broke the kiss he was slightly breathless, and Harry could see a bit of red color against Draco's pale skin. Harry's tongue ran over his lips, the metallic taste of blood on his lips from where his teeth bore into them. A shiver went down his spine, and he wasn't quite sure if it was from the taste of his own blood, or the kiss.

"Up until that moment you didn't act like it," Harry barely whispered. Of course there was something about Malfoy that made his spine tingle when he was around, but Harry always chalked it up to an utter dislike of the boy standing in front of him. It did make all the sense in the world to Harry that it might be because a little bit of him fancied Draco. He'd known all of his life that he'd fall in love with someone for their personality and their soul, not for the outside packaging. He wasn't saying he was in love with Draco... But, when he wasn't being mean, insulting Ron or Hermione, he seemed like a decent guy. Well, if you took away that arrogant nature, and the way he thought other people would answer to him at the drop of a hat. Although, here Harry was, at the drop of a hat, pressed tightly up against the wall with Malfoy standing in front of him.

Draco kept his mouth close to Harry's, speaking only loud enough to be heard. "Don't look so shocked, Potter. It was only a kiss."

"Yeah, a kiss from you. Unless it totally and completely slipped your mind, I am dating Ginny Weasley."

Draco smirked. "You're only with her out of pity. You've saved her life, Harry. Of course you'd be with your damsel in distress."

"That's not true!" Harry exclaimed.

"Have you two shagged?" Draco asked.

"Well... No, but that's beyond the point!"

"Seems perfectly logical to me that you haven't shagged with her because you like me," Malfoy said, arrogant as ever.

Something in that statement caught Harry, though. Could that be the reason he'd only snogged with Ginny? Could it be because he did secretly have something for Draco Malfoy? Harry did occasionally find himself looking at Draco, but he again figured it was because Draco constantly had a flock of admirers around him. It was only natural that Harry's eyes would travel to the part of the room that had the most people in it. He noticed that he'd never seen Draco be anything more than casual to any of those girls, and he'd never heard stories from Ron about seeing Draco when he and Hermione would sneak out in the middle of the night to go snog.

Malfoy grinned, "The lack of an answer is very, very revealing, Potter." "I... Draco..." Harry stuttered.

"Again, lack of words. This is going exactly the way I had hoped," Draco smirked.

"Look... I don't know what I think, okay?"

Draco's eyes flashed up to Harry's, and he again brushed a stubborn lock of white-blonde hair from his face. "Let me help you," he whispered. Before Harry knew what was happening Draco was again kissing him, lips soft against his, warm and inviting. Harry's body reacted before his mind did, and he caught himself kissing Draco back, his own lips slightly parted, warm breath exhaled from his nose and tickling along Draco's upper lip. Malfoy's hands found the other boys hips, and he pulled him up against him softly. With a soft arch of his back, Harry willingly pressed into the embrace, though his hands didn't move from his sides.

The two broke the kiss quickly as they heard footsteps in the hallway outside the Potions classroom. They froze, eyes cast downward as they listened. With a gush of relief the steps faded away, and Draco untangled himself from the embrace.

"Should... Yeah, I'm going to go now," Harry said turning toward the door.

"I guess I should let you. Considering I don't want to get caught. What would everyone think?" Draco said mostly to himself, getting his wand out and muttering a counter-curse on the lock.

"What's that supposed to mean, Malfoy? You drag me down here, snog me breathless, and now you're worried about what people would think?"

Draco simply nodded, "I told you Potter, I have a reputation to keep. Snogging you doesn't really go according to plan, now does it?"

Harry looked slightly crestfallen and he couldn't help but let the pain show through his eyes; they'd just had an incredibly intimate moment and Draco still couldn't say anything nice.

"I... Can't believe you, Malfoy," he spat.

Draco grabbed him and kissed him once more, softly on the lips, "Oh, believe it. Just because I fancy you doesn't mean I'm going to be someone completely different, Potter. This isn't some romance novel."

Harry opened the door and turned to look at Draco, "You're insufferable," he muttered, before walking off, and back to Gryffindor Tower.
