Slowly lifting his hands from the black and white keys of his piano, Draco opened his eyes to the empty classroom surrounding him. His face rose to meet the light, and he basked in it for a moment before gently replacing the cover. Draco then brought his hands together to crack his knuckles and started to stand, when he noticed that the door into the classroom was ajar. He paused.

I know I closed that door, he thought. He would never be so careless.

Someone knows.

The blonde knew he had been off on another tangent and that it was possible for someone to have looked in without him noticing. Draco had put his soul into that music, given everything to his creation. Whenever that happened, he was gone, enclosing himself in the embrace of the melody.

Well, it's their word against mine, and no one can best a Malfoy. With that, he left the room, remembering to lock the door and remove any trace of his presence in it. Draco strode up the empty hallway, barely becoming aware of a small redheaded girl in the classroom beside the one he had just occupied.

The door to that room was open, leaving a good two or three inches of inviting space. For some strange reason, Draco found her intriguing, and his mind encouraged him to go back to her. He kept walking for a moment to make her think that he hadn't even witnessed her, then ducked down and snuck back to the other side where he could watch her through the crack.

Smokey, gray eyes watched as the redhead brought her arms above her head and started to sway. She moved like a snake, gracefully dancing to some imaginary music. Her eyes were closed, but her face was full of expression. She looked enraptured, and stole all of Draco's attention. The slow movements of her hips had him thinking dark thoughts, even though she was forbidden to him.

He would never have thought that Ginny Weasley could be such a temptress. But looking at her peachy skin sprinkled with cinnamon freckles, Draco couldn't help but think of kissing every freckle and making that peach flush rose. He couldn't stop imagining his long fingers running through that fiery mane of hair as he dragged her deeper into his kiss, or finding the perfect fit of his face in the crook of her neck where he could whisper and send chills rushing along her body.

What the hell is wrong with you! She's a weasel for Merlin's sake! he reminded himself. She was a blood traitor, friends with Potty and that mudblood Granger. Weaselette was off limits, and it would do him no good to even start fantasizing about her.

But a larger part of him wondered what music she was dancing to. Her movements had changed from slow and beguiling to a mischievous playfulness that Draco often felt himself. And he realized then that her movements matched his music. She expressed his music in dance.

He could hear his melody playing in his head now, and knew that he was correct. She was interpreting the music in her dance perfectly, intimately almost. Her movements were like caresses, stroking every note that he had played and making it all the more beautiful.

Draco stood in awe, watching this fiery angel claim his mind as she danced. I want her, she fits my music perfectly, he thought, knowing that he shouldn't but not caring. She may have been forbidden to a Malfoy, but Draco was not discouraged. He was his own man, and Lucius be damned.

He pushed all thoughts to the back of his mind as he watched her playful demeanor change into the sad pulse that he had created last. Her movements slowed and her head bowed. He even imagined he saw a tiny droplet course down one delicate cheek. She started a slow spin, and he noticed that the music was almost at an end. He figured it would be best to leave his dancer alone now, before she found him watching her with eager eyes.

Sneaking back towards the room he had first occupied, Draco contemplated how he could approach her. Ginny thought he was a git after all, and he didn't know if the risk was worth even bothering over. But he remembered how she moved to his music, and decided then that he would make her see the real Draco Malfoy: the one who's melody she interpreted.

By the time that Ginny opened her eyes, she was facing a door that was slightly ajar, even though she could have sworn she'd closed it.
