"Hey, Weasley, watch where you're going! I don't want you messing up my potion again." Draco walked away with his lackeys, laughing, leaving Ginny to pick up her wet books from the stone floor. Luckily, the potion that Draco had purposely split on her didn't do anything, except to cause annoyance.
Oooh....I'll get him one day. I'll show him that I won't be the crux of his pathetic jokes, thought Ginny. She sighed. I can't get mad at him though. Why does he have to look so damn good? She shivered from the cold winter air in the dungeons. I'm glad that Christmas break is coming up. I can get everything off of my mind. Oh, but I wish I could go home for Christmas. I'm so homesick.
I'm never gonna say I'm sorry,
I'm a clown for everyone
Draco turned around for one last look at the red-haired girl. He felt sorry that he'd made fun of her, but what could he do? He's a Malfoy, and she's a Weasley. They are never supposed to be together. But he did what he had to do, just so he could slip his Christmas present into her bag.
I'm never gonna let you down,
I'm always here like a sun
Ginny finally finished picking up her possessions, when she saw a nicely wrapped present in silver. She read the piece of parchment attached to it. Do not open till Christmas. She wondered how it got into her bag. She tucked it safely into her bag again and went to Potions.

Draco groaned under his breath for the fifth time in a minute. Why did he do that? Why didn't he think of a better way of giving it to her? He wished that he's thought it out better.
"Mr. Malfoy, I'd appreciate it if you paid attention in my class, now take notes." A peeved Professor McGonagall was looking at the pale-haired student. He only nodded distractedly as the professor went on.
She probably hates me by now. *sigh* All I wanted was to make her happy.
I'm a loser, that is fact for sure
I'm happy even if you don't want
To invite me out for a dance tonight
I'm not normal, I know it, I don't care
By dinner, Ginny was dying of curiosity. She wanted to open it. Who would send her a Christmas present a week early? Just then, she felt someone's eyes on her. She quickly turned towards that direction. She didn't see anyone watching her, but she could have sworn she saw Draco squirming just a little.
Like a ghost I follow your steps so true
You don't have to bribe me or fill me up
Draco gasped slightly as Ginny turned towards his direction. He quickly averted his eyes and began to eat. When he was sure that she wasn't looking at him, he looked at her again. She was chatting up a storm with her friends. But Draco only noticed one person she was talking to. Damn it. What does she see in Potter? He can't make her happy. He doesn't even notice how much she's changed since her first year.
Give me just a minute to shine with you
I will make you so happy, make you laugh
When he finally finished rearranging his food, he stood up to leave. He wandered in the hallway, and bumped into someone on the way to his dorm. "Oh, I'm so sorry...Draco?" It was her.
"It's all right. Here, you dropped your books." He scooped them up and handed them back to her. Their eyes locked and he quickly walked away before she could say anything else.
Wow....That was unexpected, thought Ginny. Who'd ever think Draco Malfoy could be nice? Wait...did I call him by his first name?
~*~*~*~*~
Christmas Day. Draco's eyes opened as he remembered why it was so important. Ginny! He rushed out of bed to get to the Great Hall. Most students left during the holidays, but he stayed, as did Ginny and...Potter. When he got to breakfast, Ginny and the other Gryffindors.
"I don't know, Hermoine. I have no idea who could have." He heard her say as he started to walk over. "But whoever it is, I'm thankful. It's so beautiful...and probably expensive...."
Draco took a deep breath as he stopped by the Griffindor table. But before he could say anything, "What do you want, Malfoy?" Ron stared at him with disgust.
"I see you got a gift, Weasley. I suppose whoever gave it to you had no taste. No taste in friends, I mean." He walked away, mentally slapping himself for saying that.
I'm never gonna say I'm sorry for
The essence of my soul
There's so many ways to change my life
'Cause I want to...oh
I'm a clown, I'm fun for everyone...
As much as I try, Draco Malfoy can never be with Virginia Weasley, because of the circumstances in school. I hope Ginny forgives me one day...though I'll never ask for it. I'm too damn proud...
I'm never gonna say I'm sorry,
I'm a clown for everyone
As she watched him walk away, she looked at the present she received and smiled, as she thought of the guy who gave it to her. Draco Malfoy.
I'm never gonna let you down,
I'm always here like a sun
