Chapter 2- The Meeting

"I want a room for about 2 weeks. And I need to be on the Vampire level. No windows or sun for me..." The hotel owner, an old man with a hump in his back, looked at Hyacinth with great amusement. He eyed her up and down, staring at her figure. She rolled her eyes and sucked her teeth. Old men, honestly. Slowly getting up from his seat, the old man went to the key shelf and took down an old rusty key. He then paused and grinned, showing rotten and moldy teeth.

"Do you just need one coffin my sweet?" he asked. "I mean, d'ya have anybody with yeh?" Hyacinth smiled and moved over the counter so quickly, that only a real vampire could of saw her in motion. She stood in front of the old man, who looked particularly amazed. Hyacinth raised her eyebrows and grinned.

"Mister," she said softly, her voice dripping with sugar. "Even if I did have someone with me...I'd have him sleep on top." The old man's tongue was practically hanging out of his mouth. Hyacinth then winked at him, making his sallow skin turn a bright cherry color. She snatched the key out of his hand and began to head towards her room. She began to climb the stairs, hearing loud music blaring from different rooms. This was the legendary Knockturn Alley Motel. Slimy and greasy it was, but it held a lot of the dark supernatural. Especially vampires who were in town to party. Hyacinth smiled bitterly, her fangs catching the candlelight. She had spent plenty of nights here with silly little young wizards who were looking for their moneys worth. Just then, as Hyacinth was passing the Goblin level, a vampire clad in a fishnet muscle tee and black leather pants came running past her. Hyacinth stopped walking and looked at him. His arms were holding a bunch of parchment slips with fancy calligraphy on them. He stopped to look at her, grinning. He had felt her power, the only power that a 200 hundred-year-old vampire could give off. He grinned and bowed his head.

"A sister!" he exclaimed. Hyacinth grinned slowly, taking in his beauty. He was Asian, with perfect almond shaped eyes, the pupils a caramel brown. His hair was short and black with purple spikes. His muscles were lean and cut, making his muscle tee seem as if it were glued to his body. Hyacinth moved towards him, looking him straight in the eyes.

"A brother..." she said smoothly. "A very...delicious looking brother." The vampire grinned and handed her a leaflet. She took it, but did not look at it.

"What's this all about?" she asked breathlessly. The vampire grinned and started to walk up the stairs again.

"It's a party for all of the Hogwarts graduates. They graduate tomorrow, and we are looking for some recruits," he said quickly. "I've got to go distribute these among all the vampires...maybe I'll come by your room later." And with that he ran up the flight of stairs, his vampiric speed making it impossible to see him. Hyacinth smirked and looked down at the leaflet. It read:

HOGWARTS SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY GRADUATION

CELEBRATION!

WHERE: Les Vampires des Ce Soir. (located on the east side of Knockturn Alley)

When: The night of the Hogwarts graduation (This Friday night!)

Time: When it's time for the fanged freaks to come out...

What's this all about : We, the brothers and sisters of the Vampiric order are coming up short. We need new recruits and we need them now! Expect mostly Slytherins to come. BUT BEHAVE!

Hyacinth grinned wickedly and pocketed the leaflet carefully. She continued up the stairs, noticing that there were two vampire levels. Apparently it was so overcrowded with Vamps, that they had to clear out the Banshee level, much to the displeasure of those tortured women. They had screamed and screamed until they had finally threatened to cut the old man's (the owner of the motel) privates off if he didn't give them a special level. He had succumbed to them, naturally, and gave them his own suite on the bottom level. Finally reaching her room, she thrust the key into the hole and stumbled into the candlelit room. She dropped her bags on the carpeted floor and removed her leather coat.

She walked around the room, pushing back a strand of hair from her eyes. The room was dank, but somehow pleasing. In the middle of the room lay a black polished coffin with a bundle of black roses atop. Candles were lit, sending the smells of jade into her nostrils. There were no windows in the room, and there was no bathroom. Naturally, thought Hyacinth. She walked over to a side table near the coffin. Atop it lay delicious vampire treats. Blood lollipops, Plasma cookies (Bite in them and get a juicy surprise!) and Bloodlicious Shakes (Stay healthy and stay in all of you vampiric glory!) She picked at them, deciding what she wanted. Finally deciding on candy, she walked around the room, un-wrapping a lollipop and sucking on it nonchalantly. Feeling the power in the room, she suddenly wondered if she was alone. She shook of the thought and glanced at the clock on the wall, which read 11:00 P.M. So early, she thought. She wondered if there were any vampires at the club tonight. Walking over to the door and grabbing her coat and key, Hyacinth left the room, going to roam the dark streets of Knockturn Alley.

"Is everything set Justin?" Justin McHallow sat in a darkened room in a leather playboy chair reading a "Vampire Vixens" magazine. He turned the magazine sideways, laughing quietly.

"Look at the teeth on that one..." he said slowly. Just then, his magazine flew into flames, him yelping and jumping out of the chair. He stood up, anger clearly marked on his face.

"That was a limited edition! You owe me!" he spat. Out of the darkness of the room, a tall figure clothed in a dark robe and a cloak came forward. Justin bit his bottom lip, as if he had said something terribly wrong.

"Justin...we must stay focused," the figure said. His voice was raspy and mysterious, but comforting. Justin dusted off his kilt with trembling hands.

"Yeah well, you could've chosen a different way of keeping me focused." The man sat down in the chair that Jason had sat in.

"Let's not waste our time by talking about burned photographs of vampiric whores...we have other matters to discuss." Justin glared at him, but pulled a stool over to the chair where the man sat. He sat down quickly and stared at the ground. The man raised one his bony, pale fingers and pointed towards an old painting above the fireplace. The picture, unlike any in the wizarding world, was motionless and old. It depicted a man who was tall and pale, with waist length black hair, that was sprawled across a crisp white shirt, which seemed stuffy and cold. His eyes were cold and gray, and seemed alive, although they were not. This was Dracula, the one true master of Vampires. The man stared at the ground also.

"Justin..." he said slowly. "We must hurry with our task...our master grows restless." Justin stared at the portrait and back at the man. He hadn't known Dracula personally and didn't really care what happened to him, but he had to do his duty as son of the second in charge Master. Not blood son, but the man with the cloak had taken care of him. He was the one who had born him into darkness, fed him from his breast of coldness and death. Justin smirked. So dramatic were vampires in this day and age. The man lowered his finger and put it on his pale, pointed chin. Justin looked at him, feeling an aura of worriedness and somberness. Justin put a hand on the man's shoulder, causing the man to look at him.

"Hyacinth will handle it, I'm sure of it," he encouraged. "Besides, she'd go through fire for you." The man nodded somberly and shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Did she-mention anything about me?" he asked weakly. Justin bit his bottom lip. He didn't know what to say really. He didn't really remember what had happened between him and Hyacinth. He just remembered that he had delivered the parchment and made fun of her and had gotten kicked out. He had no clue if Hyacinth had mentioned him. But he had to say something.

"No...she didn't..." he said slowly. The man let out a sigh and stood up. He then crossed over to the fireplace, picking up the poker and stirring about the logs amongst the hot embers. Putting down the poker, he removed his hood, his black hair cascading around his pale face. His black eyes were glittering pompously.

"I understand that there is a party for the graduates of Hogwarts tomorrow at Les Vampires des Ce Soir...will you be attending?" Justin got up and walked over to the man.

"Lemme guess," Justin said slowly. "You've organized this whole thing?" The man just grinned, his crooked yellow teeth glinting.

"Well..." he started out slowly. "I did manage to tell all the Slytherins about the party...except Draco." Justin raised his eyebrows with confusion.

"I thought that you wanted him to go? I mean, how else will he meet Hyacinth? And how did you manage to tell all the Slytherins about a party? Wouldn'tve you gotten caught?" The man held up his hands and grinned once again.

"Everything will fall into place. I assure you. Now, answer my question. Are you going to the party tomorrow?"

"Of course I will! There's some pretty hot Slytherin girls I hear..." Justin then narrowed his eyes at the man. "Not that I ever get to see them." The man's eyes narrowed, the pupils like great black beetles that were dipped in gloss.

"How many times have I told you?" he whispered. "You mustn't be seen around here...no matter how bad your hormones are!" The man then pointed his wand at the fireplace and put the fire out. Justin's pale face stood out from the darkness, moonlight pouring through stained windows. The man then grinned and moved towards Justin, putting his hands on his face.

"You must make sure that Hyacinth makes this task go through...or it's your head my dear boy." Justin stared at the man. Even though he could not make out his face too well, he could see those crazy, deranged eyes. They held a fire, a passion, but it was almost too unreal to believe. Justin swallowed hard and nodded, the man removing his hands from Justin's face. The man then nodded and sighed.

"Come to me tomorrow night and give me the report...and don't forget. Now go before someone comes down here." And with that the man swept off to his chambers, his black robes billowing behind him. Justin McHallow stood frozen in his spot for a moment, but then began to walk towards the portrait hole. But before he walked out, he looked back and whispered.

"All right then...Severus."

Ginny Weasley lay in her dormitory bed staring at the canopy. Her brother was going to graduate from Hogwarts in a matter of hours, and she didn't think that she could stand it. After all, he did protect her from all the things that could destroy a teenage witch! She remembered when he used to sneak down to the infirmary to get a magical warming pad for her when her cramps had gotten so bad. And then there was the protection from Draco Malfoy, her sworn enemy. But she didn't get it. How could someone so beautiful, so...ravishing...so...DAMN FINE be so evil? He used to pull her hair, trip her, make fun of her boobs, make fun of her butt...anything that stood out. Was it really her fault that she wasn't a double D like Blaise Zabini? Excuse her for not being a model for magical silicone charms. Ginny turned over, breathing into her pillow, which had baby duckies printed on it. She had loved this pillow. It was the pillow where Harry and herself had lain on her bed on Midnight during Christmas. They had both been laying on it, their fingers entwined in others hair. Harry had given her her first kiss then, and it was magical. Then, after two weeks Harry had broken up with her a long time ago. His excuse was that "She was still too much of a sister to him." Thinking of Harry made her sick. Leaving her for Hermione! Hermione! Of all bloody girls, he had to pick Miss 'When-in-doubt-EVEN IF IT HAS TO DO WITH SEX-refer-to-a-book Granger'. But that didn't matter. Ginny was planning to do something this summer. She wanted to change her goody-goody image and turn it into more of an adult like personality. She had already gotten rid of her Amanda Honeydew records, although she was still in love with the song "Spell Power!". But no! That was kiddy pop! She had to listen to more adult stuff...maybe even Muggle music! Ginny punched her pillow, wondering why she was thinking such ridiculous things. Her point was what could she possibly accomplish this summer besides filling another bra cup size? Well...she had heard about a graduation party in Knockturn Alley. Not that she was supposed to hear it! She had walked into the bathroom while Pansy Parkinson and her gang of girls were discussing about what they were going to wear. Pansy had talked about wearing nothing but a thong. The mere thought of that disturbing image was enough for Ginny to give up food permanently. What if she did go to that party? What would she wear? She had heard that it was a Gothic club...whatever that meant. Wasn't Goth the style wear people wore all black and spiked their hair into crazy styles? How the hell was she supposed to know? Don't blame her for growing up in a pureblooded wizarding family. Ginny was snapped out of deep thought when a girl with curly brown hair had gotten up from her bed. Ginny rolled her eyes and sighed. Melissa was sleep walking again. Ginny got up and began on her difficult and mystical task: Getting Melissa to believe she wasn't the Fire Demon from Benghorn. She would think about Goth later.

Hyacinth looked around the club with amusement. Around her were vampires that were dancing slowly and exotically to Orgy. They were all dressed expertly, the required uniform present in all colors and styles of fishnets and leather. Five vampire guys had come up to her, offering the same things to her. The world, lots of blood, porno fantasies and for some odd reason, a Froot Loop. She sucked her teeth and shook her head, stirring her Literally Bloody Mary cocktail.

"Since when did the vampiric world just become some cheesy horror film?" she asked softly, hoping to God that she would get some sort of answer. Her answer came from the bartender who was a huge, buff vampire. His blonde hair was spiky and dangerous looking, while his bartender uniform (consisting of a fishnet shirt and tight black shorts) was literally pleading to be released from his cold muscular...vessel? He grinned, showing his surprisingly huge fangs. Hyacinth winced on the inside. She pitied the poor girl who had to get bitten by him. Wiping a glass off with a blood stained towel he shrugged.

"I do not zink zat it iz like a cheesy horro' feelm," he said, his German accent thick. Hyacinth mumbled under her breath. 'Yeah, just like your accent isn't that cheesy.' She smiled and handed out her glass, apparently asking for a refill. The vampire filled it up, but then looked up to see who was coming in through the door, letting the air come in from the chilly outside. Hyacinth turned around to see Lucius Malfoy walking into the club.
