A Riddle or a Rhyme

Mith Weasley

Story Summary:
Ginny Weasley sat alone in the common room, reading in front of the fire. She had been completely unaware of any of her surroundings, until she felt a small breeze sweep past her, and felt a chill creep up her spine. She was startled to see a tall boy with black hair sitting in the chair next to hers, when she turned back around. “Hello, Ginny. I see you’ve grown up since I last saw you,” the boy said calmly.

A Riddle or a Rhyme

Epilogue

Seventeen-year-old Ginny Weasley pushed her way through the crowded corridors off Hogwarts, trying to get back to the Gryffindor Tower. Many first years stopped to stare at her as she passed. Word had spread around the wizarding world that the youngest Weasley had been the only witness to Lord Voldemort's death.

Few knew the actual details of the ordeal. Only Ginny's family, closest friends, and select members of the Order of the Phoenix. Her closest friends really only being her brothers, Harry Potter, and Hermione Granger --all of who had left Hogwarts the year before-- Ginny was alone at school. She had no one to talk to, no one to be there for her. She was empty, depressed, and lonely.

Still mourning the death of her best friend and boyfriend, Tom Riddle, Ginny spent most of her spare time shut up in her dark dormitory, sleeping or crying. But nobody worried about her. Nobody cared. To the rest of the school, she was just the evil girl who had loved the Dark Lord.

Ginny hated her new life. She hated having no friends. She hated being sneered at, teased, avoided, and feared. She hated have to deal with the loss of the one person who understood her most. The one person who cared about her most. The one person who loved her like no one else had, would, or could. She hated losing the one person who meant more than anything in the world to her. She couldn't stand to live without him. She just couldn't stand it.

After finally making it to her room, Ginny thought about the past year. Then she thought about her entire life. Sitting down at her desk, she pulled out a piece of parchment, a quill, and ink. She wrote.

Friends and Family,

I am writing this letter to say goodbye. You all know that I am suffering, and I've decided that the only way to end my sorrow is to end everything along with it. I do love you all, and don't mean to hurt you in any way, but I have to do what I feel is right. I can no longer handle the pain and loneliness I feel. I love you all. Goodbye. I'll see you in another life, when perhaps we can all live in peace.

Love,

Ginny

That night Ginny made her way up to Astronomy Tower, after sending her letter with a school owl. She was hidden beneath Harry Potter's invisibility cloak, which he'd lent to her, saying it may be of some use if she needed to sneak around the school. When she was finally in the tower, she made her way to a ladder. Stepping up the through a door in the ceiling, she let the crisp autumn air sting her tear-stained cheeks.

Ginny stood on the edge of the tower, dropping the invisibility cloak. She took a deep, calming breath and whispered. "I love you, Tom Riddle." With that, she jumped into oblivion. She would be with him soon.

Author notes: The End. I hope you all liked it, if anyone's actually still following. Been busy and short of ideas.
