The shadows on the wall gave an image to go along with the voices. He listened to them even though he didn't agree with them. What could tomorrow be good for? It would only bring more of the same. He leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling. He felt the pressure of being left alone; he felt he was heading for a breakdown. Before he knew it he was sleeping, not peaceful or soundly but sleeping.

Sometime in the morning hours he was woken suddenly. He wasn't sure what woke him but he knew that something was going to happen. He felt it; by the way Hedwig was looking at him he knew that he'd been talking in his sleep again. The images taunted him, kept him awake and on edge, even in waking hours.

He noticed for the first time the parchment sitting by his chair, it was from Hermione. What ever he said in his unconscious state must have spurred the owl into action. The note informed him that Hermione would be there at 8. He glanced at the wall clock, it was just after 7:30, and they would be coming for him pretty soon.

Ron and Hermione took him away, out of the house and into the public. Draco sat on the subway, dodging whenever they came to a populated part of the underground tunnel, muttering to himself all the while, to Harry. He glanced to his side and could feel the glances hear the shared whispers and he felt suddenly self conscious. Maybe he had lost it; maybe his mind had deserted him in the years since it all happened.

They'd finally gotten to their stop, getting off he finally realized where Hermione had planned to take him. He wasn't going. He didn't need it, what he needed he couldn't have. It had been taken from him, he'd gotten a taste of the forbidden fruit and it had been snatched away. Excusing himself he found the nearest restroom. Locking himself in a stall he pulled out a notepad and pen. He hastily scribbled a message, posting it to the mirror, he made his retreat.

All they wanted to do was help, but he couldn't live like this. He couldn't live without him. His heart was broken, his spirit. Walking the streets he made his way back to the home he once shared with the man who saved him, took away the cruelties of the world. Lost in his thoughts and stray comments he didn't see it coming. When he looked up it was far too late. The world went black before it was flooded with bright light. Peering at it he saw the face he had missed these past four years.

Harry stood in the light, arms held wide welcoming him. And Draco went, making up for lost time. He shared his fears, his worries his love, as he followed his other half into the light. Disappearing from a world that didn't want him and falling into the only world he wanted to be apart of.

Ron showed Hermione the note that he had found in the bathroom that had been void of Draco. She was interrupted by commotion that sweeps the station, the note dropped in the confusion. Running up the stairs, she felt it more then saw it. She saw the paramedics fighting to bring him back, but she knew. Knew more then anything, he wasn't coming back. By the smile on his pale face he'd found what he was looking for. She knew right now he was the way he was all those years ago before he lost what he needed most.

The note had floated to the ground, to be stepped on and kicked. Soon it was sweep away by a stray wind, never to be read.

I'm not crazy I'm just a little unwell. I know that right now you can't tell,

But stay a while and maybe then you'll see a different side of me.

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired. I right now you don't care

But soon enough you're going to think of me. And how I used to be.
