Can't Help Who You Love
Ronald Weasley, who was dressed in his clean-cut tux, shifted his weight nervously back and worth. He couldn't believe this was happening, that he was finally marring the love of his life.
Before he could think another thought, the crowd began to rise from their seats. A little black haired girl, who had tanned skin made her way carelessly down the isle. You could tell it was Harry Potter's child from a mile away, which the black hair sticking up in all directions.
Ron smiled as he thought back to Harry and Cho's wedding, but mentally cursed himself for thinking those thoughts right before his big moment. Beside MaryJane, who was Harry's daughter, Velvet came down the isle. She stood a few inches smaller then MaryJane, and her strawberry blond curls bounced as she grinned brightly.
Ron couldn't be happier that his niece was able to share this special moment with him, but only if it she hadn't also been the daughter of Draco Malfoy. Next his sister walked down the isle, with Draco Malfoy at her arm. Ron remembered their wedding perfectly. It had been perfect until Luna Lovegood got drunk, and began to sing, "Longbottom is Our King".
Ginny stepped into the isle next, and walked slowly down with Draco at her arm. She gave Ron a nervous smile, knowing her brother would be made that she had brought her husband to accompany her down the isle. She didn't blame him, for they were mortal enemies, but he had told her to ask anyone she would like.
MaryJane began to toss little petals out of her basket, and soon Velvet began to also. The only problem is that the petals were coming from MaryJane's basket also. MaryJane roughly stopped, and glared at the blond haired girl. Velvet however didn't mind, and began to roughly drop them out of her basket.
Ron was sure something was going to happen if no one intervened, but he knew he couldn't stop it. The girls seemed to have hated each other from the start. The first time they had met, Velvet had poured Orange Crush pop all over the front of MaryJane's white dress.
Draco quicken the pace, then he and Ginny soon reached their daughter. By that time, MaryJane was griping onto Velvet's arm. Draco yanked her small hand off his daughter, but she wiggled free.
"GET OFF ME YOU DEATH EATER! If you're filthy daughter hadn't touched my petals, nothing would have happened.," she yelled up at Draco, as though he was nothing but a little bug. Velvet's eyes widened and her mouth grew dry,
She hated when anyone insulted anyone in her family, and wasn't going to stand for it.
"Take it back, you filthy mudblood," she said in a loud and clear voice. MaryJane threw down her basket, and went to attack the little girl in front of her, but stopped when Harry shouted over to her.
Ginny slowly bent down towards her daughter and looks of concern were written all over her face. She had no idea how her innocent daughter had learnt the word mudblood, because she knew that she wouldn't have told her. She casted a glare up towards Draco, who only shrugged.
"Where did you learn that word Velvet," she said sternly but only in a whisper.
"From Fred and George, mommy," she said with a big smile, thinking that she had just gaven them a big compliment. She was going to kill the twins after the ceremony was finished, even though she thought it was nice that the girl stuck up for her father.
Ginny straighten up, and slowly walked back to her place next to Draco. The music once again started up, but no longer were the two girls next to each other. Draco held onto Velvet's hand, as MaryJane trotted up in the front of them.
Once they finally made their way up to the front, all the attention turned towards Hermione. As she entered, people's mouths dropped open in aw. Ron was amazed, but laughed under his breath as he noticed she was in a daze.
It reminded him of the time that she had been obsessed with their Professor, Gilderoy Lockhart. It had annoyed the hell out of him, even though he didn't let on. He was so happy that she was looking at him like that, as though he was the only boy in the world that mattered.
The final part of the ceremony pasted in a blur, for Hermione and Ron. The reception finally came, and they were finally married. Everyone exchanged them congratulations. A nice supper was offered, and soon the time for the toasts came.
Harry was the final person to go up and make him speech. As he stood on the stairs, with the mike in his hand and his wine in the other, he couldn't stop himself from saying one last thing.
"Before I go, I would like to share one more thing. Everyone in this room knew they were meant to be, from the first time Hermione saw him, and told him he had dirt on his nose. Or when he tried to get a peek at Hermione in the prefects showers, but had accidentally saw a little to much of Millicent Bulstrode," as he said that, Ron's cheeks blazed with anger and embarrassment.
"I would just like to wish you and Hermione, my two best friends, the best luck for a lifetime," with that he raised his glass in the air and took a drink.
The dancing soon started, and everyone piled onto the dance floor. Ginny and Draco twirled their little girl around in a big circle, but then a slow song came on. Ginny gently placed her head on Draco's shoulder.
Ron stomped on Hermione's small feet as they danced, but he didn't seem to mind. He was in love, and nothing was going to break there love struck moment. Draco grunted as he watched Ron try to dance.
Ginny tilted her head up, and shot him a confused look. She followed his eyes, and found that his attention was on her brother. She let out a little giggle, as she watched her brother try to spin Hermione around the dance floor.
"I guess all Weasels aren't as talented as you Miss Weasley," Draco said, but not in a mean way per say.
She playfully hit his arm, and broke their embrace. She had to talk to Ron, telling him she was sorry about what had happened earlier. Before she could make her way over, a blond haired woman came up, which Velvet in her hands.
"Miss, dis girl waz los'," she said in a heavy French accent. Ginny recognized her right away, Fleur. Charlie had married her a few years back, and she never really knew why. She was attraction, yes, but there was nothing much more behind that.
She thanked the woman, and left with Velvet to find her brother. She soon found him alone, with Hermione nowhere in sight. Once she got closer, their eyes met, and he angrily glared at his sister.
If she hadn't shown up, none of this would have happened. He blamed her for everything, and always had. She slowly sat down in the chair next to him, and gave him a small smile. Velvet climbed up on her knees, and smiled warmly up at his as well.
"Listen Ron, I am so sorry for what had happened," she said in a whisper. He didn't respond so she continued, "I wanted to congratulate you, on getting married."
"You know, if you hadn't bloody well fallen in love with Malfoy, none of the horrible things would have happened tonight," he angrily shouted at her over the music. A warm hand touched his shoulder, and he looked up to see Hermione smiling up at her.
"Ronald Weasley, she did not mean for any of this to happen," she said calmly, as though she was talking to a child.
"So you're siding with her Hermione, she's a traitor. She married a Malfoy for bloody sakes," he said, shouting at her also.
"Sometimes you can't chose who you love Ronald," she said angrily. If anything, he was the one ruining their special night.
"She could have chosen many other guys, any other one then Malfoy," he said while standing up.
Ginny stood up as well, and let out a small sigh. Two arms wrapped around her waist, knowing it was Draco, and Velvet was still in her arms. She didn't care what the other's thought, for she knew that she was lucky.
Ron and Hermione continued to bicker, as everyone began to get quiet. Draco slowly whispered, "Doesn't that look familiar?" in Ginny's ear. She let out a small giggle, because he was right. It looked like old time, with them bickering none stop at each other. She knew they would soon forgive each other, and she secretly wished Ron would forgive her as well.
As soon as she thought that, they were already forgiving each other. Their song began to play, the song that had been playing when Ron first confessed his love to Hermione.
"The Temptations-I'll love you till I die."
Ginny let out a small sigh, she was truly happy for her brother. He had found someone he loved and was going to share the rest of his life with her. She only wished he could be as understanding as she was.
