Chapter 1: Welcome to the U.S of A.
Cheers and screams were heard throughout the whole room as the girls danced and cheered. Blue, black and silver were the colors that adorned the full and enormous room. Pictures of wolves were seen painted on the walls. Some of them were of a pack of wolves showing their teeth or glaring. Then there was this picture of a lone wolf, howling at the silver moon. Remus Lupin looked rather interested at the pictures, as Sirius Black grinned in amusement and Severus Snape protected his ears sticking his fingers in, an annoyed look on his face.
Helena chuckled to herself. From the top of the stands of the enormous gym, she spotted them and called to them waving her arms. Remus heard her first and smiled at her, elbowing Sirius to look up. Both Severus and Sirius looked up at Remus call for attention. Both men had different reactions. While Sirius smiled broadly as he waved at her, Severus froze mesmerized, looking at his beautiful wife and soon gave a small smile.
"Earth to the Potions Master!! Hello!" called Sirius, snapping his fingers in front of his face.
Severus snapped out of it and looked at Sirius annoyed and scowled. Helena giggled and stopped herself, looking around. Soon the three men were in front of her. Helena had to gather all of her strength to not to cry right then and there.
"Hey, there" she said smiling at them, her strength was failing her and her eyes were already shining with tears.
"Well, well, aren't we beautiful today after all these years?" teased Sirius. Helena laughed, tears streaming down her cheeks, then threw her arms around his shoulders.
Down at the court along with a couple of cheerleaders, a black haired girl saw the exchange and her friends were asking her about it. She frowned as her mother hugged them enthusiastically, as if she hadn't seen them for a long time.
"Is that really your mom?" a girl called, Livia asked.
"I guess so, looks like her doesn't it?" the girl replied.
"Where on earth did she meet those hotties?!" Meg rolled her eyes, it was so like Kristina to squeal like that when she saw what she liked.
"Beats me" she replied.
Helena was already hugging Severus. She hugged him the longest, her tears falling silently as he held her after all these years.
"God!" she said " I missed you so much!"
"So did I, Lena. So did I." he replied.
Lena smiled to herself as Severus called her by her nickname. It had certainly been so long. Almost fifteen years without seeing him nor spending the moments with him as she had promised the day they married.
"How's our little Maggie?" asked Remus anxiously.
"Uh...you might want to drop that nickname for her"
"Why?"
"She hates it"
"How come?" it was now Sirius turn to ask.
"Beats me"
Cheers and scream filled the room again as the cheerleaders took the spotlight again. Helena wiped her eyes with her fingers as she smiled at the squad.
"It's about to start" said Lena.
"What is?" asked Severus, looking at the group of girls with a frown and praying silently these girls didn't wear those short outfits to classes.
"You'll see"
Music started and the cheerleaders, all dressed in their small blue, black, and silver colored outfits, started dancing shaking their pom-poms in the air, the song "All star" by Smash Mouth playing for them.
The girls danced, jumped, and were carried up making their moves in the air and jumping when finished.
"This is it" she said to them. The three men concentrated on the girls and Remus saw a girl walking at the rhythm of the music to one end of the court.
She turned when she reached it and what she did next was nothing he had ever seen, not that he had gotten out to the muggle world that often.
The girl ran, then threw herself on her hands, twisted and bent which ways Remus never thought it was physically possible. Her body moved as if she was flying and the people in the stands, from bottom to top, cheered wildly at every turn she gave. Helena clapped enthusiastically when she finished, proud of her daughter.
"Bloody Hell! what was that?"
"That's gymnastics, Sirius"
"Who is she?" asked Remus, still shocked
"I thought you'd never ask! She's my daughter. She's our little Maggie"
There was socked silence from them and then a bewildered yell.
"WHAT?!"
"You're joking!" said Sirius
"Our little Maggie?!" Remus said almost without any voice.
"What in the seven hells is she doing in an outfit like that? Doesn't she have some decency!?" yelled Severus
"You will never change, will you, Sev?" asked Lena, unsurprised. Severus scowled.
At the end of the Pep rally, Lena, Severus, Remus, and Sirius were outside the school's gym, waiting for Lena's daughter to arrive. As expected, she got out of the gym with a group of girls wearing the same outfit they had seen them wearing.
"Isn't she going to change?" asked Snape with a disdainful look at her petite daughter.
"No" replied Lena without taking her eyes off her daughter.
"You mean she wears this to school?"
"Yes"
"I'll be thankful she is going to Hogwarts, then. No more of those little revealing outfits to parade around the school." he said as both Lupin and Black sniggered. Snape gave them a dark look as Lena rolled her eyes.
God! They will never change, will they? Lena thought.
"Well, even though you're her father, I don't think you will get her to stop wearing that outfit. That is, if she's anything like Lena, I'd really like to see you try" Black said.
"Enough said" Lupin said.
"She's coming"
Just like Lena said, the black haired girl was walking towards them with a wide smile on her face and flushed face.
"Hey, mom! Did you see that? God, that was so cool!" she said excitedly.
"I know sweetie, you were great! Wasn't she guys?" Lena asked, giving them a hearty wink.
"Oh, yeah...that was...awesome" started Lupin.
"Whoa...amazing" Black said with a wide grin and nodding approvingly
"Never seen anything like it, right Sev?" Lupin elbowed Snape, prompting him to talk.
"Oh, yes. Highly amusing" he replied stiffly.
The girl laughed.
"Thank you. My name's Meg by the way" she said holding a hand out to Severus, who reluctantly took it.
"Severus. Severus Snape"
"Nice to meet you"
"Like wise"
As soon as she turned to Lupin and Black, Black smiled and held out his hand.
"I'm Sirius Black and this is my friend Remus. Remus Lupin"
"Hello, Meg" he replied, as Meg shook Black's hand and soon turned to shake his.
"Nice to meet you, too." she said then added "Where are y'all from?"
"England. And we came by those horrible things you call planes and we had to sit for 12 bleeding hours, can you imagine the pain?" replied Black in a joking tone.
"Oh, I've been there" Meg said laughing.
"They are very old friends of mine" her mother said in a voice full of British accent. Meg looked up at her startled. "They came to visit us. They've known you since you were a baby."
"Since when have you talked in a British accent?" she said amused, apparently ignoring the last comment.
"Almost all of my life" Lena replied.
"Really, how come?" Meg frowned.
"Well, as much as I would like to give you the juicy details of that, I'm afraid I'm here talk to your counselor. I told her we were moving. I need you to come with me." she replied.
Then Lena started walking, the men along with her and Meg following a few second after she realized what her mother just said.
"Moving? Moving where?" she asked bewildered. She looked from her mom to the men then back at her mom, a look of confusion etched in her face.
"England"

Meg sat on the couch outside after talking with the counselor and being sent outside with Sirius, Severus and Remus. They would glance at the girl for quick moments as she tapped her foot loudly on the floor. They were startled to hear her speak to them.
"Why? What the hell is going on? I don't understand" she blurted out abruptly.
" Look, as much as we would like to enlighten you, I don't think we should be the ones to tell you" replied Remus.
"So you know!"
"Yes, we do, but we're not going to say anything to you against you mother's wishes. She wants to be there when you hear to what she has to say." Severus replied.
"What about a hint?"
"No"
"A very weensy, tiny hint"
"No"
"Damn!"
"Language!"
At that exact moment, Lena got out shaking Meg's counselor's hand. Meg quickly stood up.
"I really appreciate your help on this in such a short notice"
"No problem, if you need anything else, don't hesitate on calling me, I'll do whatever I can to help." the counselor replied with a smile and glancing at the three men who now stood up behind Meg and looking approving.
Is it me or am I actually seeing the counselor in a flirty mode? Meg thought.
"Thank you so much. Bye" Lena replied, apparently oblivious to everything.
Lena turned to face them as soon as the counselor left. Meg seemed rooted to the spot.
"Short notice. When did you tell her we were moving?"
"A month ago." she said not looking at her, her hand raking her purse looking for something. Later she got out her keys. "Aha! ready to go?"
"When are we going?" Meg asked insistently.
"In two weeks"
"What? what about the finals, that is not until 2 months"
"You're taking them early"
"When were you going to tell me this?"
"Why don't we go home and talk about it there"
"But..."
"Let's go"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meg seemed that he couldn't wait to get home for she was tapping the window rythmically throughout the ride. And as soon as they got home, she opened the door with her own key, hollering:
"I'll be right back"
When she came back she had dressed in "civilian" clothes, everyone was already in. Her mother was in the kitchen and the three men were sitting in the living room, waiting for both women to appear from wherever they had gone off to.
"I'm back" said Meg. "Now, what's going on?"
Helena emerged from the kitchen with a try full of cups and a teapot. Only one cup was filled, and Meg saw it was coffe, black.
"Here's your coffee, Severus"
"Thank you"
Helena proceeded to serve the others tea, remembering Remus didn't take sugar on his tea.
"So many years and you still remember"
"Remus, you offend me, how could I forget" teased Lena.
They all chuckled, except Meg who was looking from her mother to the men and then back at her mother not understanding anything at all. They seemed much too friendly to have passed so many years as she thought.
"Is that you're going to tell me so bad that you need tea and coffee to calm me down?"
"No, it's not bad. It's unexpected"
"Well, whose fault is that?" Meg replied sitting down in an armchair.
Lena graced that with a sidelong glance before she sat down on her favorite single couch. She turned to look at the men, saying:
"Well, it's time. Ready?"
"Ready as we can be" replied Sirius.
"Now you're scaring me"
Clearly, Lena had ignored what Meg said and was now thinking of a way to start. Meg patiently waited, which was a very rare thing for her to do.
"Meg, did you ever wonder why you never saw your father?"
"Uh...I had my guesses but that's just it, they're guesses"
"Magic never crossed your mind, did it?"
"Magic?"
"Yes, because your father... is a wizard"
