Do you know why?” Her grip tightened around his neck and he fought to hold his conscious a little longer. “Because of you, Sirius Black. Because you didn’t listen to your own mother.”

Peter looked at Remus, horrified. “You didn’t try to kill yourself, did you?”

“Can you believe that woman!” he said crunching up the piece of paper and putting it into his pocket. “She wants me back for Christmas holidays. Wants to spend some quality time with her family. Yeah right! The nerve! Can’t she take the hint when I stayed at James’ the entire summer? And after last Christmas too…” Sirius stopped abruptly after that and looked back down at his homework.
