You Wanted More

I wasn't shocked when I received your letter. I know you and I also know that you are persistent and that's one of the reasons I fell in love with you. The last time I saw you I told you that our relationship was not going to work, you must have misunderstood me and thought that I didn't believe in our love. I am still a believer in everything that is us. I never stopped believing in our love but I stopped believing in love it elf. I stopped believing in the power of love. There should be no doubt in your mind Draco about my love for you. I love you in our past, our present and there is no doubt in my mind that I will love you as much as I do now in the future. Even though I don't know what love really is I know that what I feel for you I have never felt for anyone else. I still need a full explanation on what love is.

I know you are wondering why I left. The reason, I felt, is that I don't deserve to be loved, and by you of all people, and the fact that you deserve and wanted more; you wanted more than I could give and more than I could handle and a life I couldn't live. The problem is, Draco, you seem to forget how the rest of the world sees me. They see me as Harry Potter, the savior of the world and the one who is to do away with the self-proclaimed Dark Lord. On the other hand, you see me for me; you seem to be not impressed with the forenamed titles that I love you even more for that. You seem to forget that as who I am not allowed to live the way that I want to live and love whoever I want to love. By loving anyone I am putting them in constant danger and I have lost so many people I love already I couldn't bear to lose one more person.

I tried to not love you but since we are in this situation it didn't work. I had to leave so that you could find someone else that could offer you all that you want and deserve. You deserve someone that's going to be able love you anywhere and not only in a closet, you deserve someone that is going to live that life that you want you know walking around town holding hands with no care in the world. I know what as long as Voldemort is around I can't give that to you. I am also asking you to forget me and move on with your life. I am asking you forget everything that has happened between us, and by that I mean the midnight rendezvous, the looks across the Great Hall and those kisses that could make you forget your name.

I did what I did because of the love I have for you. I did it because I had to, I did it because that was the only option I had and I also did it because you deserve better than me. I don't want to to cry over any of this (I know you won't admit to crying; Malfoys don't cry). Do this for me, if you love me you will grant me my wish and move on. I thing I want you to never forget is that
