The Room of Requirement\'s Most Treasured Secret

Hermione and Ginny walked down to breakfast slowly, talking about what Hermione had just revealed.
"Ginny, when we get to the Great Hall you have to promise not to mention anything to anybody, okay?" Hermione said.
"Hermione, I get it! I mean, I didn't tell anyone when you had that
crush on Seamus all last year, now did I?" Ginny said, as they approached
they Great Hall, packed with students, as usual, eating their breakfast.
"Well, I can only hope," Hermione said smiling as they walked up to their usual places next to Harry and Ron.
"Morning!" Harry said as he spotted Hermione and Ginny. "Are you two going to Hogsmeade today? Last one this year!"
"Of course!" Ginny said, "I have all my Christmas shopping to do today, and Hermione is going to help me."
"That reminds me," Ron said looking up from his bacon and eggs.
"Hermione, what do you want this year? I still have to get you something. How 'bout a new quill and some parchment. I bet you'll have loads
of letters to write... Ow!" he said as Harry stomped on his foot.
"Cool it," Harry said under his breath. "Yeah, Hermione what do you want this year?"
"Oh, you guys know that you don't have to get me anything!" Hermione said as she poured herself some pumpkin juice.
"But we want to get you something!" Harry said as Ron opened his mouth to say 'ok'.
"Well, if you insist then surprise me," she said as she ate some porridge.
The four of them walked quickly down the path to Hogsmeade, deciding to meet in the Three Broomsticks in two hours to get some butterbeer. Ron and Harry then ducked into Dervish and Bangs to try and find something that Hermione might like for Christmas.
"What do you think that Ron might like?" Hermione asked Ginny as they strolled down the isles of Zonko's, looking for potential gifts.
"Oh. You know him. Just get him anything from Honeydukes or anything here that he might use to get Fred and George back for the countless times they've embarrassed him, and he'll love you forever," she said, picking up a large box of Dr. Filtbuster's All Purpose No Heat Wet Start Fireworks for the twins.
"How 'bout these?" she said holding up a pair of hats that made your head disappear.
"Perfect!" Ginny, said giggling as she and Hermione headed up to the register, clutching their parcels.
"You know, you just about ruined it at breakfast," said Harry, as he and Ron walked out of Dervish and Bangs with nothing for Hermione yet.
"Look, I said I was sorry, alright?" Ron said as he and Harry walked down the street. "Oh my god!" exclaimed Ron, as he stopped dead in his tracks, staring at a shop that he and Harry would never gone into before this Christmas. "I've just had the best idea ever!"
"What are you talking about, and why are you staring at that jewelry shop?" Harry said, lookinghis best friend strangely.
"Follow me," Ron said as he ran to the shop.
"What are you doing?" Harry whispered as he followed the red head into the store.
"Listen, I just found out a way that we can get Hermione a Christmas present and let her know that we know about her and Malfoy without really doing so," he said excitedly.
"Ron you're speaking in a language that I don't understand. Translate," Harry said, looking confused.
"Look, we buy Hermione a jewelry box with a couple pieces of jewelry that match the ring Malfoy just gave her and on the card we put 'Now you can match.'," he said, looking excited.
"Ron, you are a GENIUS!" Harry said looking up and down the rows of glass coved cases searching for a necklace and bracelet while Ron picked out the perfect jewelry box to put it all in.
"Ginny, after this will you come with me to the jewelry shop? I have to pick up Draco's present," Hermione said, looking up from the barrel of Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.
"Sure, what did you get him?" Ginny asked, as she inspected a box of Ice Mice.
"You'll see," Hermoine said with a grin, as she picked out a box of sugar free Beans for her parents.
Harry and Ron were paying for Hermione's present when they saw her and Ginny approaching the store.
"Ron! Oh my god, she's coming," Harry said, staring out the shop window.
"Bloody Hell! Why did she have to come here now!" Ron exclaimed, as he grabbed their bags and pulled Harry behind the counter and crawled out the back door.
"My god that was close!" Harry said, as they ran to the Three Broomsticks, "I wonder what she's doing in there."
"Oh, wow! He'll love it!" said Ginny in awe, as the jeweler showed Hermione the locket thatad ordered. It was a silver square locket that had the Slytherin emblem on the front. When opened it had a picture of Hermione and Draco hugging and smiling. It had the same inscription that was in Hermione's ring on the opposite side of the picture of it.
"Do you really think that he will?" Hermione asked, as she paid for the necklace.
"He's crazy if he doesn't," Ginny said smiling as they left the shop and Hermione tucked the velvet box into her cloak. "We better get to the Three Broomsticks; we're fifteen minutes late." Ginny said looking at the clock tower.
Harry and Ron had been sitting at their table for about five minutes when Ginny and Hermione walked in. The girls ordered their butterbeer and sat down with them.
"It's freezing out there!" Ginny exclaimed as she set her bags down. "Where have you guys been all day?" Hermione asked, sipping her butterbeer.
"Why do you ask? We were anywhere, why do you keep asking?" said Ron, looking very suspicious as he kicked a bag further under his chair.
"What's up with him?" Hermione asked Harry still looking at Ron suspiciously.
"Nothing," Harry said stomping on Ron's foot for the second time today,
"He's probably been out in the cold too long, we went up to the Shrieking Shack earlier."
"Oh, I thought that Madame Rosemerta gave him the wrong drink again," Ginny said laughing, "Remember last time, she gave you...oh what was it?..... oh yeah! A vampire ordered blood and fire whiskey with a cherry twist and he got your pumpkin juice instead."
Harry, Ginny, and Hermione howled with laughter, as Ron turned rather red in the ears. The Foursome deci that since they had all their Christmas
shopping done that they should go back up to the castle, as they were all exhausted from walking in the snow all day.
By dinner time they were all warm and had all their gifts either sent or wrapped and were chatting around a rolling fire in the common room. Harry looked at Hermione, she was laughing at a joke that Ron had just made about Malfoy. She really is an excellent actress! Harry thought to himself as
Ginny suggested that they go and get dinner. I almost feel bad about the present we got her. Almost.
