A big thanks to Lyssa and Suzy for beta-reading this for me!

Ginny sat at the edge of the Black Lake, thinking about the past few weeks. They had flown by so quickly, and yet she remembered everything. Every sweet kiss they had shared in the common room and the midnight walks around the castle.

But it brought a tear to her eye. He didn't "love her like that". And she knew it had to be a lie. Their lives had been full of passion in the past weeks. How can you love so fully, then deny its existence?

Perhaps it was her family, or even herself that pushed him away. No, neither were the cause for his actions. That girl he did "love like that" pulled him from her grasp. With her raven hair and powder blue eyes. Her oriental facial features, her soft bubbly giggle and her hard-to-get tactics drove him wild.

'If it works for her, I'll make it work for me,' she thought to herself. She stood up and walk slowly back to the castle. She approached the Fat Lady and told her the password. The portrait swung open and she entered.

To her surprise, she found Ron, Hermione, and Harry sitting by the fire deep in conversation. They all turned and looked at her. Hermione smiled, "Come on Ginny!" and beckoned Ginny to join them. Reluctantly, she sat down in the open space on the couch next to Harry.

'Great, just what I need. Sitting next to Harry, and being ignored,' she thought to herself. What she wouldn't give to be back by the lake.

They talked for what seemed like hours over many subjects, including Quidditch, their schoolwork, and of course, Ron and Hermione's snappish flirting, also known as arguing. Ginny however, remained silent most of the time, lost in her own thoughts.

"Well, I'm feeling quite tired, so I'll just be going up to the dormitory to sleep," Ron announced, standing up.

"Oh, yea. Erm...I've got that test tomorrow. Must be rested up!" Hermione told them, standing up with Ron. They both exited to the staircases that led to their dormitories...Leaving Ginny and Harry alone.

"Well....I should probably get going as well," Ginny said, starting to stand until Harry stopped her, his deep green eyes catching her off guard.

"Wait...Ginny, I need to tell you something," Harry said, grabbing her hand. She couldn't help it, but her heart began to beat faster.

'Stay calm...It's just Harry!' she thought fiercely to herself.

She turned and looked at him. Staring deeply into his endless green eyes that looked almost in pain. "What do you need to tell me that hasn't already been said?"she asked, trying to sound as if she didn't care.

"Well...I just wanted to let you know that...I never meant to be harmful to you," Harry told her with reluctance, the pain in his expression starting to fade.

"Well, I suppose it's a little late for that," she snapped back rather harshly.

'Serves you right for hurting me like you did!' she thought to herself as well.

"I just want to make up for....what happened the other day...with Cho," he explained, his face beginning to soften along with his voice.

"And just how do you plan on doing that?" she asked, still rather angry at him, despite the butterflies that were going wild in her stomach.

"Like this," he said, placing a small, yet meaningful kiss on Ginny's lips.

She wanted to pull back, to slap him for hurting her. But she couldn't. Instead, she gave into a week of tears and pain, letting go of it all. The snitch had chosen to fly right into her hand.
