Author's Note:
I hope everyone enjoys what is clearly the most climactic chapter yet! (Also my favorite chapter) More to come soon! (I know, this cliff hanger is brutal)

From the moment he had entered the Great Hall for dinner, Harry knew there was something seriously wrong. Ron had a smirk on his face that could have suggested few things. Curious, Harry approached him.

"Hey, Ron. What are you looking so pleased about then? What'd, you lay Pansy or something?"

At the mention of Pansy Ron's ears turned red.

"No..." he hesitated. "Pansy and I broke it off. There is someone else, though. Perhaps something will happen between us."

Harry looked surprised.

"What?" Ron interrogated defensively.

"Nothing. But, you've just broken up with Pansy and now you're moving on to another girl! I'm just shocked. So, who's this girl? She's hot, then right?"

A sly smile crept across Ron pallid face.

"She's one of the hottest here at Hogwarts."

At this Hermione scowled.

"No way! Harry exclaimed ecstatically.

"Describe her to me, maybe I know her!" Harry asked.

"Well, she's about 5'7, got a great body, huge jugs, long and straight blonde hair, and outrageous blue eyes. She's very hot."

"She sounds like it! Ron, I'm thoroughly impressed. So, what's this mystery woman's name?"

"Cho..." Before Ron finished, a look of horror spread like an epidemic across Harry's face. He turned paler than Ron, then a sickly shade of green. It was the reaction Ron was hoping for.

"Cho!" Harry rasped out. "CHO CHANG?" Harry was in a tizzy. The color had crept back into his face, but his eyes were open in disbelief and he was mumbling incoherently. It was a second before he realized how ridiculous he looked. Hermione, of course, had a grave expression on her face. (It was amazing how she mixed sheer anger and rage with something like sincerity)

"Harry! WHAT is the problem?" Hermione asked in a blatant tone. "N... nothing at all. I just..." he strayed off.

"Well, then can you explain to me why you just completely freaked out at the mention of Cho?" she demanded.

"I..." he started, before being interrupted. "After all" she continued.

"I think it's nice Ron has a new girlfriend. It's good for you, Ron. And I think that Cho is a very nice girl." She said politely.

Ron smirked, bathing in Harry's obvious awkwardness.

"Well..." he indulged. "We're not EXACTLY going out." He murmured, almost inaudibly.

"What do you mean? Don't tell me it was a one-night-stand. If it was, Ron, I swear-" Harry's eyes already enlarged eyes protruded even more so.

"NooOOOOooo!" Ron growled at her. "Not at all. It's just that I like her, and, well I think there is a chance she likes me back. Besides that, there's really nothing else."

Harry's eyes shrunk back to a normal size. His normal color returned quickly to his face. He stopped jittering.

"Harry, you're acting so strange. If I didn't know better, I'd say you fancied Cho. But I do know better, and that just isn't true, right Harry?" Hermione exclaimed in her bossy voice.

"After all, we have a thriving relationship. And, speaking of relationships, there's something I need to tell you later."

A puzzled look crossed both Harry and Ron's faces. Hermione breathed an impatient sigh, gathered her belongings and rose. "Well, I'm off to Arithmancy. I'll see you later. Remember, Harry, we need to talk." She strolled across the Great Hall and climbed the immense marble stairs.

The second she was out of sight, Harry exploded.

"CHO CHANG? WHAT? YOU FANCY HER?" he screamed, his voice reverberating in the high ceiling room.

Ron's eyes showed a glint of fear, but his satisfaction couldn't be concealed.

"So WHAT if I fancy her? You've got HERMIONE, remember? Or have you forgotten the incident of my WALKING IN ON YOU? Cho likes me, anyway! If she wants to go out with me, she will! I don't care WHAT you say. Besides, you're just jealous."

Anger surged through Harry and he coiled his fists in a threatening way.

"JEALOUS?" he screamed, as people all around stared.

"JEALOUS OF WHAT? YOU FANCY HERMIONE ANYWAY! YOU'RE THE ONE THAT'S JEALOUS! YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH CHO! I HATE YOU, ASSHOLE!" he screamed, louder than he had ever screamed before.

The look of disgust and horror on Ron's face all but hid the fact that he was completely taken aback. Harry jumped up and raced out of the Great Hall as fast as his legs could carry him. (This was actually quite fast, given the circumstances.) There was one thing he was certain of: he never wanted to see Ron's freckly face or Cho's beautiful face again for the rest of his life.

Hermione Granger, prefect, top student, soon to be head-girl was not stupid. In fact, she was the cleverest witch of the sixth-years. So, when she saw the look on Harry's face at the mention of Ron's potential relationship with Cho, she knew exactly what Harry was thinking.

Another unusual quality of Hermione's was that she was completely able to point out her personal flaws. Hermione, (although she had gotten very pretty over the last two years) was not nearly as pretty as Cho. She was perfectly willing to admit it. Harry's interest in Cho was probably a physical thing- it was no secret that Cho was experienced. Harry probably just found her attractive and wanted to get in her pants.

"Deep down inside he loves me." she thought to herself. "But he IS a guy..."

Screwing up her courage, she grabbed a piece of paper, scribbled two life-changing words on it, and raced towards the Owlery.

When Harry returned to his bedroom he was very red in the face and extremely angry. His anger, however, was slightly lessened at the sight of Hedwig, his beautiful snowy owl.

"What are you here for?"

He collapsed onto his bed, and began to pet her silky feathers, ignoring her random appearance. It was several minutes before he realized that she had a small note clutched in her beak.

He gently pulled the note out from her beak. On it, in extremely neat letters were written just two powerful words.
