Author's Note:
This is just a cute little Christmas story, lots of fluff.

Hermione was walking up to the Astronomy Tower when she stopped just before the first step. "Maybe...I shouldn't give him this...I could just tell him that I'll give him his gift later. Yea, I'll just tell him that they were sold out..."

Hermione started going up the stairs, periodically looking at the rectangular shaped box wrapped in red metallic paper with a big green bow on top with doubt. Finally she reached the top. She looked around her, Draco was sitting on the ground with a big deep green fleece blanket. He had brought in little gold pixies that were tiptoeing around the premise. It was dark out, the moon was shining and reflecting off the snow that was falling on the ground making it seem much lighter than it actually was. Draco had put a snow-repelling charm on the tower, Hermione also noticed that he put a heating charm on it too.

Draco looked up and smiled. She remembered how rarely she got to see him smile at her like that when they started going out in their fifth year. They had to keep their relationship hidden, but over the summer between fifth and sixth year they decided that when they went back to school, they would not hide their love anymore. It was now seventh year, Christmas Eve. Most of the students had gone home for the holidays, which made it easier for Draco and Hermione to spend time together. Most people were now used to them going out, but some students, like Pansy and Ron, still hated the thought of them going out.

"Come sit down," Draco said as he patted the ground with his hand.

Hermione smiled and sat down next to Draco. "Everything looks beautiful. Merry Christmas," she said just before she leaned in and gave Draco a soft kiss.

"Merry Christmas," Draco replied, returning the kiss.

Hermione, still sort of worried about the present she got Draco could not hold in her words. "Draco, you're going to think my gift is really dumb and I was going to exchange it, but it was too late and-"

Draco put two fingers up to Hermione's lips. "Hermione, why do you always worry about these petty things? You are the greatest present I could ever have. You're more beautiful than the fanciest gifts or the most expensive jewelry, I learn more from you than any books, and you taste better than anything you could ever buy at Honeydukes."

"Um...well, thanks," Hermione managed to answer. She then took the gift out and handed it to Draco. "Just remember that I told you it would be stupid."

Draco rolled his eyes at Hermione's last comment and started tearing open the paper which revealed a book, Creative (and Safe) Uses for the Dark Arts. Draco laughed as he flipped through the pages. "I already know creative ways, they might not be so safe though."

"See, I told you it was stupid," Hermione said in a slightly embarrassed voice. "You're so hard to buy for."

"Hermione, it's not stupid so stop worrying about it," Draco said as he reached into his robes. "All I want for Christmas, is you."

He then opened a small box. It contained a silver ring with a single white diamond on it. On the inside of the band it read. "To Hermione, love always Draco. Merry Christmas."

Hermione was speechless. "Um...I, uh..."

"Will you marry me? I know that it's really soon, but there's not other girl I could ever love as much as you. We don't have to get married right away, at the moment this ring is just more of a promise ring as opposed to an engagement ring. Maybe in a few years it'll be time to consider it as an engagement ring," Draco said, answering the questions that were frantically going through Hermione's mind when she saw the ring.

A huge smiled spread across Hermione's face. "Yes."
