Bionca was woken up from one of her roommates. "Get up! Breakfast is going to be over in a half hour!"
"What, but, I, I mean, oh whatever," she managed to spit out. She then got up, went into the shower, came back did a hair drying spell, and put on her make-up, all in less than 10 minutes. She then walked down to have breakfast. She saw Draco sitting next to Pansy, she smiled, 'What a perfect opportunity' she thought and she walked up to Draco.
"Draco," she sighed. "You're the only person I've met so far, can I please sit by you?"
Draco looked up. "Uh yea, move down Pansy."
"UH! This is so unfair! There are many seats left, she doesn't have to sit by you! I am NOT moving!" Pansy shrieked.
Draco shook his head disapprovingly. "Pansy, she's new, you should really try to be more nice."
Since Pansy would not move down, Bionca asked Crabbe if he would and he soon agreed once Pansy kissed him on the cheek. "Soo, here look at my schedule, tell me if I have any of these classes with you."
Draco scanned over her schedule. "Well, yea, we have everything together, except I don't have muggle studies, why are you taking that anyways?" he said in a sort of disgusted manner.
Bionca rolled her eyes. "I don't like muggles, but I do find some of the things they do very interesting. Anyways, if you think I'm some sort of muggle-lover you are deeply mistaken."
Draco nodded. "Good."
A few seats down a couple of Slytherin 6th years were talking about the Yule ball that was coming up.
Bionca looked at Draco. "Yule ball?"
"Oh yea, you missed the announcement since you came here about three months into the year. Anyways, its your typical ball, you wear your dress robes, it's a decent time. Ha, especially when you get to see Weasley's dress robes! He's so poor!" Draco said as he thought about Ron's robes.
"That little freaky red-head kid who hangs out with Harry Potter?" Bionca asked.
Draco looked at her surprised. "Yea, how do you know who Potter is?"
Bionca hesitated. "My parents are involved in...certain "businesses" that would have me know him," She said in a quieter than normal voice.
"Deatheaters?" Draco said in a not-surprised sort of tone.
Bionca gave him a quizzical look. "Uh..."
Draco shrugged. "My father is too...I got a letter from him a week or so ago saying that people were coming over from America. I was looking for something in my room when I came across that letter and saw that your last name was one that he listed."
Bionca let out a small sigh of relief. "Oh okay. I didn't want you to find out and then go off telling Dumbledore or something."
"Good idea. Towards the beginning of the school year someone accused me of being in the mix of the whole deatheater business and I got sent down to Dumbledore's office, damn near almost got expelled too. Luckily though I convinced Dumbledore that it was a lie and he let me go. He's been "keeping an eye" on me though, silly old fool, but you don't really have to worry about it at our table. Most of the people in Slytherin have parents who are deatheaters too," Draco reassured.
The plates soon cleared and Draco and Bionca walked off to Potions. When they arrived, Draco sat down in his seat, and Bionca went up to the front of the class to talk to Snape.
"Do you want me to make up any of the stuff that I missed? Like, any of the big assignments?"
Snape looked up from the first year's assignments he was grading, Bionca noted the mass amount of red ink that was being used. "All of the assignments in this class are big, so no, I do not want you to make any of the assignments up. I see that you were quite good at potions at your old school...lets hope that stays true here. You can take a seat over next to Ms. Granger, her lab partner Neville Longbottom messed up one of his potions and will most likely be out for a week or two. Until then you may sit there."
Bionca looked at Snape sort of confused. "And where might that be...?"
Snape let out a deep sigh. "Over there on the left, the girl with the brown hair, two rows from the front."
Bionca nodded. "Thanks."
Bionca walked over and sat down. "Hi, my name's Hermione Granger," Hermione greeted as she put out her hand.
"Charmed," Bionca replied, the words dripping in sarcasm, and then looked away.
Hermione glanced over at Harry, who felt bad for her, and then over at Ron, who was practically drooling while he gazed at Bionca.
Snape cleared his throat loudly. "Continuing our lesson from yesterday, can anyone tell me what the key ingredient is in the flame making potion?"
Bionca and Hermione's hands both shot up at the same time. Hermione glared at Bionca and Bionca smiled back.
"Yes Ms. Granger?" Snape drawled.
"Cotton root," Hermione answered confidently.
Snape shook his head. "No, Bionca?"
Bionca smiled. "Cotton leaf," she said, emphasizing the word leaf, as she looked over at Hermione.
"Correct. Let us move on," Snape said as he continued on with the lesson.
Potions went well, Bionca beat out Hermione for majority of the questions. Not that Hermione had gotten them wrong, Bionca either raised her hand first or Snape just choose Bionca more often than Hermione, thus leaving Hermione in a very foul mood. After class, Hermione, Harry and Ron walked back to Gryffindor tower talking about the newest addition to their class, Bionca.
"She is so horrible! How dare she try to compete with me?" Hermione shrieked.
"Yea, but she is hot! Her blond hair, it was just so smooth and pretty, like silk! And those eyes, they were so bright and green an-" Ron was cut off.
"Like she would ever even consider going out with someone like you, Weasley," Draco sneered as he passed them.
"How would you know?" Harry shouted towards Draco.
Draco turned around. "Bionca, one of the finest girls at our school, go out with someone like Weasley? Weasley barely has a chance with Granger."
Harry glared at Draco, and then the trio turned down a different hall towards Gryffindor tower.
Draco and Bionca walked down to lunch together, just before they entered though, Draco pulled Bionca off to the side.
"Bionca, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the Yule Ball with me?" Draco asked.
"Sure," Bionca replied casually, not wanting to be obvious, and with that they walked in and ate lunch. After lunch Draco had a quidditch meeting. Bionca was walking back towards the common room when she saw Pansy.
"Hi Pansy, guess what just happened!" Bionca shrieked.
Pansy rolled her eyes. "What?"
"Draco, just asked me to the Yule ball! Isn't that just the most wonderful thing ever?" Bionca said smiling.
"You're such a bitch, you know that?" Pansy screamed.
Pansy walked away furious. Bionca grinned at this; she then went to her room to write to her dad:
"Daddy, I need you to have Allison make me some dress robes, this should be easy because we brought my life-sized doll over from America. I want to use the black velvet with gold stars on it. The neckline should be...low, but not skanky low. I want it trimmed in black fur, the soft kind. Just in case though, I also want her to send over my red ones that we had from last year. Send these ASAP. Thanks! Hugs and kisses, Bionca." Then she gave the scroll to her black owl and he flew off.
Within two days her robes arrived, she hung them up and hexed her lock to make whoever tries to break into it break out in huge warts, she didn't want any jealous girls to break in and demolish her robes.
The days left before the Yule Ball went quickly for everyone. All the students were finalizing plans and gossiping over who was going with whom. Robes had been straightened and tuned up by the students wearing them. Everything was in order, and it was now the night before the Yule Ball.
