Oooh. Fluff. What is the world coming to? This is an entry for the

She is a Special Child-

She is a special child.

When she was born, she came out screaming. I heard that first tiny wail and felt my heart surge with joy and relief. I almost wept when the midwife said that I finally had a girl, a little baby girl to call my own. I actually did weep when I held her for the first time, when I saw the miracle I had been given in the form of this beautiful little girl. Seven generations of waiting, and seven children… I felt blessed, above everything else, that I finally gave this family the princess it was waiting for.

Oh, and the noise she makes! She insists on being heard, crying at all hours. Arthur laughs and says that she is like Bill, announcing her presence in this world. But I know she is different.

With her red hair and her small nose, people say she looks exactly like Charlie. She smiles when I tell her this. She knows she is different.

When she wants something, she makes sure she gets it. She is determined, reaching out with her tiny, tiny hands for everything. She is like Percy; she wants the world in her hands. And yet, she is different.

She is happiness and laughter, she is joy. She is like the twins, eyes full of mischief and a heart full of dreams. But she is different.

She is love. When she sleeps in my arms, I can feel her heart beat. She is like Ron, who will come and curl up next to me when I am holding her, adoration and excitement in both their eyes. But when she looks at me, I can tell she is different.

She is a special child, and I love her so much.

Of course, I love all my children. But… there is only so much I can teach the boys, only so far I can take them. After all, they are boys. They need a man to guide them, to show them how to become men themselves. I know they will be good men, just like Arthur, and I have no worries.

But this child…

She will be a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother. She will be a queen.

This child is mine. She is all mine. My little girl. I will teach her what it is to be a girl, what it is to be a woman. I will give her all I have… I will give her my name, and my life if I ever have to. I will teach her everything I know.

She is a special child. When I look at her, I finally feel complete. I have waited too long, but now, my wait is over. I have a little girl, all my own.

She is so small, so perfect. My beautiful little girl.

My baby. My Ginny. I know you'll be a good girl. You're going to be a wonderful woman, someday. I just know it.

I love you, Ginny.
