It was a happy day, sunny, bright, peaceful. Ginny Weasley had almost forgotten about her exam on monday, and was outside, fooling around with Harry.

"Catch me if you can!"

"Oh, I can and I will!"

"Eeek! Harry! Ouch! Get off of me!" Ginny squealed as Herry tackled her to the ground. She giggles, and heard his deep laugh. It sent tremors through her body.

Or did it? Somehow, for the last few weeks, Ginny had been...well...resistant to Harry. She didn't feel self-consious whenever he walked by. If he kissed her, she didn't feel like dying. For some reason, Harry just wasn't as appealing to her as he used to be.

She felt his lips on her own, and felt light and fluttery, but this was nothing. She felt like that whenever someone kissed her. Even the time that she was playing truth or dare, and kissed Dean. And she certaintly didn't like him.

"Ginny?" Harry whispered.

"Yeah?"

"Time for quidditch practice. I'll meet you at six this tonight- you know where."

Yes, Ginny knew where. The astronomy tower, third floor from the top, second door on the left. Harry had "found" it a few months ago, and it had been their little secret ever since. But today was different. Harry seemed obnoxious and annoying. He was like the little fly that keeps buzzing around your head and never shut up.

"Boys," Ginny whispered under her breath, "So stupid." She had no idea.

********

Harry was walking over to the qudditch pitch, deep in thought. That stupid George. Quidditch captain, but so snobby. Practice evry day, rain or shine, sun or snow. Four o clock, late peple got detention. He wanted to spend more time with Ginny.

Her fiery red hair...her luscious lips...her million galleon smile...not to mention her great skill in kissing. Ginny had taught Harry to not only think about Voldemort. She had taught him to live life to it's fullest, she had taught him how to be happy. But now, now Ginny seemed to be resisting. Somehow, she wasn't as cheerful as always. She seemed to try to avoid Harry whenever possible. Like she was hiding something. But Ginny would never do that...would she?

"Harry-snap out of it!" Katie Bell yelled. Harry came back to reality with a start.

"What? Oh Katie. I'm sorry. I was just thinking-"

"About Ginny?" George interrupted.

"Actually, yes."

"Harry, what have I told you. Keep your mind on the game. I know how absolutely ravishing my sister is (she takes after me), but you must focus. It is the key to success!" On the last word, George raised his voice loudly, and Angelina Johnson covered her ears. "Sorry Angie baby, I got a little carried away."

"I noticed," Angelina muttered. "Prat."

After practice was, over Harry was totally sore, and in need of a good snog. It was six, and he realized that Ginny would be waiting in the Astro Tower.

********

Ginny was in the Astronomy tower, waiting patiently for Harry. She had been thinking about him all afternoon, and had no idea what to do. She couldn't tell the truth; it would break his heart, yet it would be awful to leave him in the dark like this. Ginny was just about to decide, when Harry strode into the room.

"Harry-" she started.

"No talk. Yes kiss." So she did. Ginny felt like a puppet, just doing what Harry wanted her to, as he walked over to her and began to nibble on her ear. She gave in, and sighed. What was she to do?

Harry, being a typical boy, didn't notice. He moved his lips from Ginny's ear to her mouth, and she opened her mouth almost autimatically, allowing his tounge to slide in. It was like a reflex, as he let his hands slide up and down her sides. But this time, Ginny didn't get chills, she didn't sigh into his mouth with bliss. There was no bliss. It was almost painful. Slowly, Harry began to fumble with the buttins of her shirt. Like always, he broke of the top two, and then the rest easily slid out of their holes. Ginny unclasped his robe, like she did in every snog session, and began to play with his buttons. Hary, who had gotten her shirt off by now, moved his lips down, down, just abouve the top of her bra. There he dtopped. Ginny slid Harry's shirt off of him, and massaged his back. This was where they stopped. Every time.

No sex, never. Ginny was still a virgin, and Harry was too. Harry was 6th year, and although non-virgins of their age were common, (Ron, Parvati, Blaise Zambini, and Malfoy to name a few), it wasn't considered right for a 5th year like Ginny to have a partner in bed...yet.

Harry pulled back, smiling at himself, thinking that he was such a great kisser. Ginny scowled in discust. It practically hurt to kiss such an ignorant git. And he thought she loved him. Ginny was surprised at how stupid men could be.

"See you later," Harry smiled warmly and walked out the door. "Detention with Snape."

"Bye," Ginny waved and then sat down hard on the stone floor. "What am I going to do?" She moaned.

"Maybe you should stick it up your arse." A voice was coming from the doorway. Ginny looked up, then looked away.

"Malfoy," she said darkly.

"That's what some people call me."

"Go away. This is not a good time."

"Oh, so you finally realized that a potty doesn't have good sex. Or is he shagging that mudblood?"

"Shut up!" Ginny shouted, surprised at the force of her own voice. Draco was too, evidently.

"Whoa, Weasley, back down. I see your temper matches your hair."

"Lame, Malfoy. Really lame."

Draco faked a sad look. "Sorry I've lost all of my usual zest. I just came to pledge my undying love to you, and you...you rejected me." He started to fake cry.

"God, Malfoy. You sound like your father."

For the first time, Draco actually looked hurt. Ginny loked at her feet. Maybe that was a little harsh. After the fall of Voldemort, Lucius Malfoy had gone into depression, and eventually killed himself.

"Sorry," she mumbled, ashamed to be apologizing to a Malfoy.

"It's okay," Draco came over and sat down beside Ginny.

"Is it just me, or is Malfoy acting a little strange?" Ginny thought to herself.

"So what was wrong?" Draco asked. Yep, something was definitely strange.

"Malfoy-"

"Draco."

"Fine. Draco. Whatever. Why are you acting so strange. I mean it's like youre being...nice."

Draco looked down at her with a look of sadness in his eyes. "I just got some...news, and I'm depressed. I guess that I need some sympathy right now, and what goes around comes around, right?"

"I guess," Ginny replied, startled by Draco actually admitting his feelings. "Do you want to tell me what happened?"

"Not really," Draco answered truthfully.

"Do you want me to leave?"

"No."

"Then what do you want to do?" Ginny asked. Draco bit his lip. He knew what he wanted to do, but he didn't know if he WANTED to. What the hell, He decided. I'll do it. What can go wrong?

If I could change anything,

Then I would wipe the years away.

If I could change anything,

Then I would brush the time away.

If I could change anything,

Then I would change everything.

-"Bitter", Nine Days

Draco smiled to himself, amazed by his courage, and leaned in for a kiss. His lips caught Ginny's and he could feel her almost pull away. He had startled her. Good.

Ginny felt her lips press against Malfoy's, and almost jumped back. Almost. She felt a rush of something. Heat, adrenaline, feelings. At first, she was to scared to do anything. Thoughts were rushing through her mind. She didn't know whether to pull away.

Ginny felt a chill down her spine as she opened her mouth, allowing Draco's tongue free passage. Then she realized. That chill, that rush. That was what she was missing when she kissed Harry.
