How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days

Hermione Granger walked up to her office. As she entered, Parvati Patil, Lavender Brown, Ginny Weasley, and her boss Macia Evans came running towards her.

"Hermione, oh my god, you have to make a page for my new magazine, Girl Tips! Due in ten days!" said Macia hysterically.

"Okay, okay-- Ginny, what's wrong?" Hermione asked looking at the tear-stained Ginny.

"It's just that...." Then Ginny burst into tears.

"I'll... be going now... don't forget the article Hermione!" Marcia called as she left running.

"Don't worry, I won't!" Hermione called after her.

"I think we need to find a room," said Parvati looking worriedly at Ginny who was still crying.

"Alright, meet me at... my office, I'll lock the door..." Hermione hurried away with Ginny, Lavender, and Parvati skipping after her.

Once they got to her office, Hermione pushed them all in and she locked the door.

"Okay, Ginny, take a seat and tell me-- us what happened," she said softly as Ginny sat in a vacant chair.

"It's that... H-H-Harry c-called m-me, he called me... fat!" Ginny said, crying more.

"He what?" Parvati, Lavender, and Hermione said at once.

"He called me fat! I'm fat! Plus, when, when we had sex I cried!" Ginny cried.

"Oh my god, you cried, why in the world did you cry?" Lavender asked.

"And... how long do you know this... Harry?" Parvati asked.

"Oh, well, it happened after two days that I met him, but--" Ginny sniffled.

"You had sex with a guy you don't even know!?" Hermione yelled, almost ripping her hair off.

"No, I mean yes, I mean that, look, I was..." Ginny said, but Hermione wasn't listening anymore.

Damn Ginny! What is she thinking, having sex with a guy she only just met! Now I have to help her AND finish my article that I just got assigned and I don't even know what it should...

Hermione thought. Suddenly, it hit her.

"Ginny, Lavender, Parvati, I know how to solve this problem and finish my article at once!" Hermione snapped her fingers.

"And what is that?" asked Lavender.

"Well... look this is how it's going to go..." Hermione whispered her idea to them silently.

Ron Weasley sat in his office. Just then, Pansy Parkinson, Millicent Bulstrode, Blaise Zabini, and his boss, Draco Malfoy, came in. Ron smiled and stood up.

"So... Ron, have you finished your advertisement on Diamonds?" Draco asked.

"Yeah, it's right here..." Ron took it out.

Pansy, Millicent, Blaise, and Draco surveyed it cautiously.

"It's... good," Blaise said. She seems satisfied, thought Ron.

"Super!" said Draco.

"But is that the only thing you use: Diamond is a Woman's best friend?" Pansy asked.

"That's the only thing that actually lets a woman like a guy, giving her diamonds," Ron said nervously.

"Ugh! Men, they don't know anything!" Millicent whispered to Pansy.

"Well, I KNOW you can't get a woman to like you without diamonds!" said Blaise.

"Is that a dare I hear?" Ron asked, giving them a lopsided grin.

Blaise started to say that it was only a statement, but Pansy cut her off.

"Sure is! I dare you that when we go to that party they're hosting, you have to find a woman, any woman, and make her fall in love with you... without diamonds! You have ten days to get her to fall in love with you, then, after those ten days, you have to dump her... in front of everyone at the party they're hosting again in a week and three days!" Pansy finished and left Ron, Draco, Millicent, and Blaise with their mouths open.

"Oh--okay! You're on!" Ron shook Pansy's hand starting the dare...
