There is a place in everyone's heart that we keep hidden from the world, the place you keep all of your secrets that no one should hear. This is the story of two people who dared to voice the feelings they kept in that place, and the repercussions of such a bold act.

I don't understand peoples' hate! Is there no one who wants to reach out to someone who is a little different than you? I guess you're wondering why on earth I'm rambling as I am. Well, it all began a few months ago when I was named Head Girl of Hogwarts. No one was surprised, but I hadn't thought it was as much of a sure thing as Harry and Ron did. Anyway, the choice for Head Boy had seemed just as obvious; since Harry was running, everyone figured it would be him. However, we did not realize just how well Draco Malfoy was doing in his studies. Draco ended up surpassing Harry, though we all thought that it was his father's influence that got him in.

That was the first shock, and luckily, I had all summer to devise a plan of defense against Draco for all of the time we would be spending together. The next shock, however, had no time to absorb, for either one of us. It was the first day of school, and the Head Boy and Girl were announced to the school. Draco and I were than asked to go with Professor Dumbledore to his office. We walked in silence, and when we arrived, were asked to take a seat.

"You two are probably wondering why you did not get to return to your Houses with you classmates to unpack. Well, that is because your items are not there."

"Were they stolen?" Draco demanded. "My father..."

"No, no young Mr. Malfoy. In fact, your belongings are in one of the safest places in the castle."

"And where would that be?"

"That is my point exactly, Mr. Malfoy. Your things are located in the new Heads' Suite."

"The what?" I asked timidly, hoping that the image of a Heads' Suite was not what I thought.

"The Heads' Suite consists of five rooms; a bedroom and bath for the Head Boy and the same for the Head girl. There is a also a private common room in between the bedrooms with a mini library for both of your use."

"So this means I'm going to be living with her for the whole year?" Draco asked incredulously.

"Her has a name," I said angrily.

"Calm down, Mr. Malfoy, Ms. Granger. This is merely for your convenience. Since you both have busy schedules along with your house duties, which you have to do together, the staff and school governors agreed that this would be the best way for you to help each other. Now, if you both will follow me..."

And the rest is history; well, to me at least.
