Chapter 1: Forever her nightmare

For the first time in a long time, Olivia Tinúviel thought her life could finally have some sort of happy ending to it.
Her maniac mother was finally in Azkaban and she was moving school to get away from the abuse and torment she went through for six months.

She was only seventeen and had gone through so much, but she tried to hide it behind her beautiful smile, but her eyes gave away the pain and suffering she had been through.

Olivia was moving to Hogwarts for her final year. She was a bright girl, but everything that had happened to her had knocked her confidence in most things. She could never understand why men would stare at her, or why girls would get so bitchy towards her. She felt she could trust no one.

The Tinúviels were a powerful family. Lilith had only married Alston for his family name and wealth, while Alston truly loved Lilith and thought he could change her. They married at a very young age, of eighteen. Lilith came from the Ravana family who were of pure evil, and were known for their powerful dark magic.

Lilith knew that a child born with Alston and her own powerful magic would be able to do wondrous things. She would raise the child to follow her own ways, and mould her into exactly what she wanted. The child would have some elfish blood in them, from Alston's family, which would make them even more powerful.

However, once Olivia was born and Alston finally realised the true intentions of Lilith, he ran away with Olivia when she was three years old. They were on the run for seven years. During those years, Olivia grew to love and adore her father, and Alston loved his daughter with everything he had in him. He knew that she had the potential to be a powerful witch, but he wanted to shield her from evil and darkness. He did what he thought was best, and ran from Lilith.

Alston had told one of his closest friends, Romulus Lupin that if anything happened to him, he must look after Olivia, which he readily agreed to. Romulus helped Alston with running away and found secure locations for them to stay in. Olivia was very fond of Romulus, and she loved him nearly as much as her father.

When Olivia was ten, her mother finally found them, in a wizarding town. Alston was out with Romulus looking for another property to move to, as they had stayed a lot longer than usual in their current location. Olivia was re-reading for the tenth time her acceptance letters from wizarding schools around the world. Her father didn't want her to go anywhere, but he knew that she would have to. He hoped he would be able to hold a teaching post in a school, so he could remain close to Olivia.

As Alston and Romulus arrived back home, they found Olivia in the living room, with someone.

That someone was Lilith.

Olivia never forgot what happened that cursed day. She still wakes up in the night, remembering the vivid green flash and cruel laughter.
