Fighting, Fighting All the time

Chapter 2:

As I was walking towards the transfiguration classroom I was thinking she was in my class so maybe I could talk to her there. No one was in sight as I walked the halls so I picked up my pace.

Right as I closed the doors to the classroom the bell rang. "Right on time Mr. Pucey, have a seat up front, here next to Mr. Bletchley," Professor McGonagall said.

I quickly sat down and took out my wand. We had the beginning of the year lecture that McGonagall gave the class each year. After she was finished we were put into groups, and had the rest of the class to transfigure dogs to pot belly pigs.

As much as I tried to get Katie's attention she seemed to completely pretend I didn't exist.

At the end of class Chris, Miles, and David and I headed for arithmancy with the rest of the Slytherin girls that were in our year. During class Chris sent me a note.

Adrian,

Hey what is up with you? Dude what do you want with Bell? Why were you trying to get her attention in Transfiguration? Please, Please, Please tell me you don't like her!!! She is so not your type. You shouldn't even try and get yourself with her! You know Marcus has fancied her for a long, long, long time, and as his best friend you should get him hooked up with her rather then getting yourself hooked up with her.

Just my opinion as both of you guys friends. Do what your heart desires, but nothing stupid!

Chris

I looked at him shook my head and smiled. Little did he or any of my friends no accept Marcus that Katie was my cousin. I shook my head slightly, and went back to writing notes for the rest of class. When the bell rang for lunch I stayed back and I let the others go ahead.

I silently slipped out of the castle and waited patiently for my cousin.

She came a few minutes later. She was a very pretty girl, but she was my cousin and I would never fancy her, because I knew who she was outside of school.

"Katie, what did you need to talk about?" I asked her. She looked at me deciding whether or not she should enclose the information to me. Then she started speaking. "Well, you know I have fancied Oliver Wood for a long time, and I really want to go to Hogsmeade with him, but I have really no clue what to say to him."

"Um... Ok Katie..." was all that I could say. In my brain I was trying to think of something that wouldn't bash who she liked. After all I wanted her to still be my friend as much as my cousin. "Katie, as much as I would disagree of you liking the baboon I'll help you out as much as I can," I said. I looked into her eyes. I could see her wanting to kiss me and hug me and just say thank you in any way possible.

After that, we sat and talked for the rest of the lunch period, and when the bell rang we went a little further to Care of Magical Creatures. "Where were you at lunch man?" Miles asked. I just looked at him and mouthed later. I tried my best to ignore them until Professor Kettleburn came. Thank Gosh I was paired with one of Katie's friends Alicia Spinnet. A plus to that was she was also very hot, and had lets just say the BIGGEST rack I've ever seen in a our age.

"Hey Pucey," she said to me. Her smile made my insides disappear. I went gaga over her. Alls I was hoping is that my friends wouldn't notice me blushing.

"Hey Spinnet," I said in return. As we closely studied the baby craklers neither of us said anything until halfway threw the lesson.

"So Pucey, um... what's new?" she asked me. I knew where she was going with it. In my head I was so relieved she liked me back, but I couldn't say anything until I asked Marcus. After all he did agree to help me with getting Alicia hooked up with me. "Nothing much, saw some Quidditch this summer," I said.

"Sounds fun," she replied. "I know it's still early, but would you come with me to the first Hogsmeade weekend with me," she asked. I decided I shouldn't say anything just yet.

"Um... I'm not sure yet, but maybe you could meet me by the locker rooms tonight? We can talk about it there," I said. She looked happy she'd be seeing me so soon, and said a little to over excited, "YES!"

When class was over as the others went up to the castle to the History of Magic classroom, I stayed behind and helped clean up. Ten minutes later I walked up to the castle and spent another five minutes walking slowly up to the History of Magic room.

No one noticed when I walked in so I took a seat next to a pretty Ravenclaw named Shannon. During class alls I could do was think about what I would tell Alicia tonight, and then also how I would hook up Katie with the "baboon". Half way into the class period I looked up to see everyone just about sleeping. As usual Professor Binns just kept on going on and on babbling about the dates of the stupid Goblin Rebellions.

When the bell rang an hour later I was bombarded by Warrington, Bletchley, and Montague on the way to dinner. "Ok now you need to answer some questions Pucey," and "Why weren't you at lunch Pucey," was all that I could hear.

I tried my hardest to ignore them until we got to the great hall. As they were all sitting down I gave the "I need to talk with you in private" look to Marcus and then casually (so no one would notice) walked down to the dungeons.

Surely enough Marcus understood what I was signaling and ten minutes later showed up with some dinner. "So tell me about today's events Adrian!" he said wanting to hear all about them. In my head I was conversing on whether to tell him I was helping his long time crush get hooked up with his worst enemy.

I decided it against it, at least for the time being. Instead I told him all about Alicia. "What should I do?" I asked him, while I was shoving down a spoon full of mashed potatoes. "Be classy, tell her Slytherins and Gryffindors don't usually date so maybe we could hang back instead of going to Hogsmeade," He told me.

It all sounded good, at least to me. When everyone got back we all did homework. Five past nine I decided I should start my decent to the locker rooms to meet her.

When I arrived a mere fifteen minutes later I saw Alicia already standing there. I was furious at myself to think "My girl" had to stand and wait for me. She looked beautiful. The thing that would have made it perfect would have been a Slytherin emblem instead of the gay Gryffindor one on her jet black school robes.

"Hey," was all that came out of my mouth. We stared at each other for awhile before she started speaking.

"So what's up can you go with me?" she asked. I started at her for what felt like eternity before answering. "Well..." I paused before going on. "I was thinking how about we just stay here and have a picnic?"

She blushed and looked up at me as I was considerably taller. "Wow, Adrian you're so romantic," she said. "Thanks," was all I could spit out. We made small chat for awhile and then I decided to ask her something thinking that I could trust her.

"I could use your help really bad if you're willing to help me," I said. She agreed and I explained the whole situation to her about Wood and Katie. We brainstormed for awhile before Alicia told me I was no good at poetry. "I'll do it never leave a girls job to a man."

Way after curfew I said goodnight to her and gave her a hug. "Not a typical Slytherin!!! Most would try to stick their tongue down a throat on the first date," she said.

"Well I'm not a typical Slytherin," I said smirking. We went our separate ways, and I walked back down to the dungeons.
