Author's Note:
Since I realized that Fiction Alley is not the pain in the arse I used to think it was, I will now be submitting my fics here. I have given up on writing h/hr because it always turns out to be d/g in the end. Funny how things work out. I will have a new story coming up soon and it has got to do with a deadly secret. Look out for it.

A loud boom followed by the sound of Draco's strangled cry erupted from the bottom of the staircase where Ginny headed with a large box in hand. Upon reaching the ground floor she found Draco laying on his back with his left foot stuck in the air, his hands massaging it tenderly. It was hard to restrain herself from laughing as she put her box down on the small but heavy table Draco had been carrying.

"Awe, did ickle-Draccie-poo smash his wittle footsie?" Ginny sat down on the ground next to him and moved his hands away from his foot as she took his shoe off. It looked almost like he'd broken his foot since there was already quite a bit of swelling and a little discoloration.

"Don't touch it!" Draco yelled as he swatted Ginny's hand away. "It hurts!"

"I know that, but most of all you know that. Rubbing it won't help, it'll only make it worse."

Draco frowned and began to try to stand up as Ginny walked back upstairs into her now almost completely empty apartment. He sat up against the wall when standing didn't work and he waited for the few insufferable minutes that his Ginny had been gone.

"I thought we had already packed and taken it back, but I guess we're lucky," Ginny said as she came running back down the stairs with a bottle in her hand. She sat down next to Draco and moved his meddling hand out of the way as she applied some of the stuff in the bottle to his foot. Seconds passed before he felt that he could stand up without fear of injury. A quick kiss was placed on Ginny's lips and he continued to carry the troublesome table that he had dropped - and caused the whole situation - out the door.

After several hours of moving and packing and some time for a quick snog session, Ginny and Draco found themselves laying in the middle of their apartment floor with the fan on high and cold glasses of water by their heads. Ginny sighed and stretched like a cat.

"We've been working hard and I think that you need to go and relax some," Draco said as he propped himself up on one arm.

"What do you think I'm doing?"

"Go and get some sleep, Gin. By the time you wake back up I'll be home," Draco said as he stood up.

"Where are you going?"

"I need to go to the manor and speak with my father."

Ginny stood up and kissed him on the cheek before heeding his advice and walking lazily into the bedroom, her aching bones needing the rest. Draco waited until he heard the springs in the mattress creak as she got into bed before Apparating into the dining hall of the manor.

"Draco," Narcissa said as she got up from her seat at the table and walked over with her arms outstretched to embrace her son. It seemed that he had gotten his timing just right and imposed upon his parents' dinner.

"Hello, Mother," Draco said as he returned her affection.

Lucius Malfoy stood up and walked over to his son, shaking his hand tightly as soon as Narcissa was done sizing her son's appearance. Draco whispered something into Lucius's ear and turned to walk into the sitting room just outside of the dining hall.

"I need to speak privately with Draco," Lucius said as he left the room.

In the sitting room Draco was examining pictures that were hanging on the wall. Pictures of himself and the other Malfoys that were presently or had once inhabited the earth. He stopped and picked up a frame from on top of the table and ran his fingers over the glass. This was a picture he had forgotten about. It was the only picture of himself in his youth that wasn't taken in a time of grief for him.

"I had that framed for your mother," Lucius said as he came in the room and looked at the pictures on the wall as his son had just before him.

"It's a good picture," Draco said, sitting on the leather couch near the fireplace.

"Yes, it is. Now why don't you tell me what's on your mind."

Draco leaned back on the couch and smiled a little as he thought about Ginny for the thousandth time that day. He turned to his father.

"Ginny came back last night. We moved her things back in this morning," Draco said, still smiling.

Lucius smiled and nodded his head slightly. "Why was it that she left?"

"She said that she saw me in the park with someone else. I wasn't, and I proved that with a truth potion last night."

Lucius looked curiously at his son as Draco explained what had happened between him and Ginny last night. He explained how he knew there weren't that many people in the world that had the Malfoy traits, at least not many that he had ever seen in England. Draco asked his father about how many Malfoys there were that were his own age.

"I don't know that there are any your age, Draco," Lucius said nervously.

"I know of one," Narcissa said as she walked in the room. A sad look adorned her face and she sat down next to Lucius on the chair opposite from Draco. "I know one."

Lucius looked at Narcissa and spoke words through his gaze. Narcissa nodded at him and looked back at Draco. She tried to smile but the sadness in her eyes spread throughout her face and she found herself looking into the fire instead of her son.

"What is it?" Draco asked.

"It's no wonder that Ginny thought she saw you in the park that day," Narcissa said, her voice cracking a bit as she spoke. "She probably saw Damien instead."

Draco gave his mother a curious glance and then looked at his father, begging for more explanation.

"Damien is your brother, Draco," Lucius said as he looked down at Narcissa, a tear falling from her eye.

"I have a brother?" Draco was incredibly confused and looked to both his mother and father to answer questions, but both of them looked as if they were already having a heard enough time just being in the same room with him. He let them tell the story at their own pace to ease some of their suffering.

"You have an identical twin brother that lives in London and that's probably who Ginny saw in the park that day."

"How do you know where he lives?" Draco stood up and began to pace about the room as the emotions in his head raced around wildly. He ran a hand through his hair and let it fall back in his face.

"His foster-parents used to be among Voldemort's followers. We made sure that we gave him to wizards of our own beliefs," Narcissa said softly.

"So you made them give you updates on his life?"

Lucius pulled his lips into a thin line. "Not exactly. We made sure that we always knew where he was in case he was needed."

"Why was I never told?" Draco shouted at the top of his lungs as his temper raged, a glass vase with black roses shattering. The glass flew everywhere and water drenched the table that the vase had been sitting on.

"We didn't want you to know," Narcissa said.

"Why did you give him up?" Draco asked softly as he stood broken in the middle of the room.

"One child would be easier to train for greatness and power. Two wouldn't have been as effective," Lucius said.

"I see that your training didn't go as well as you had planned," Draco said as he Disapparated back to his flat.

When he got there everything was quiet. Draco paced around the living room for a few minutes trying to think of what he should tell Ginny. Perhaps he should leave everything alone and just not let her know what he now knew. In the end he decided that a good nap would be the thing and he would worry about it all later.

Walking in the bedroom he discovered that Ginny was not laying in bed like he thought that she would be. Instead, there was a note laying on his pillow that read:

Draco~

I went out for my daily walk. I'll see you when I get home. You get some rest!

Ginny

Draco smiled at the note and laid it one his nightstand as he flopped down on the bed, his eyes shutting out the images of a lost brother and of a family he never had.
