First Time and Forever

They were enemies long before they have met each other. They were branded black and white, not red and green like their house colors. In their seven years, many haven't noticed one thing. One thing, that is more important than charms, potions, curses and counter curses. That one important thing that would save the wizarding world on that final day.

They were trapped in a circle where they were placed, a place that neither of the two wanted. They have craved so much to go out of that circle, but didn't dared, for one reason alone, to be able keep the other safe from harm because of that something important.

A simple nod, a meaningful glare, a hidden smile, a gentle brush at the shoulder during Quidditch, all so hidden and discreet that no one would see but for them this is more that enough to make them strong, to move on and be reassured of that one thing. That special one thing that was never said, never told, but always felt always present.

On that final war on that last day, he came running all in black, his mark burning his whole body, he had himself cover the only person that made him feel that important thing and which he have returned with all his heart. The person saved was too pained on what he saw, he almost screamed the unforgivable too late, for the same curse had been flying on his way. He fell on the floor just when the enemy lost his life.

On their last moments, the two painfully moved closer to each other, held hands for the first time, kissed for the first time, cried together for the first time, looked into each other's eyes openly for the first time and smiled for it is also their last on this world.

They knew it is time, time to tell that one thing important.

Silence.

"I don't know how it started, why, when all I know it felt right to have you always near me. And the more it felt right when I knew that this is more important than my life. The funny thing is I have never been so sure in my life except for this beautiful and happy emotion in my heart. You made me whole. I was bits and piece, but because of you I was whole for the first time..."

Silence.

"I hope that you could forgive me, for all the pain. I have been too late now its only seconds before the fateful hour. I hope I have said sorry, sooner. Maybe there would be more memories, happy memories between us. Not just you being happy there, and me being happy here, but being happy together..."

Silence.

"I remember how your eyes shine, it always does and because of it, it lights my days. The soft sound of your laugh is sweet music to my ears. Your humble steps are like slow dances. If only I could add melody to your song, and be a partner as you sway... but no you would stop long before I could be near you..."

Silence.

"I have always wanted to call you by your first name. I wanted to feel every letters of your name roll with my tongue. Maybe it would be much sweeter than any expensive chocolate available. I wanted you to hear me calling your name I wanted to see you smile as you acknowledge me. But I would stop myself whenever you'll call me by my last. I could never blame you, never..."

Silence.

"I prepare myself for the time that is coming. I prepare myself, I look around us its dark, but my imagination got the best of me and I saw you smile. And I knew that that smile is different, because that is only meant for me. And in my last moments... I knew..."

Silence.

"I die today with a smile in my heart, because of you, only for you. I knew now that I need not any memories of us, because we would be together today and for eternity.:

And silence between the two is now forever.

Every body was mourning, in front of them lay two coffins. Both are in the same color of the earth, not branding them as black or white, not green or red, not the boy-who-lived and son of a death eater. They died neither of any in the wizarding world anticipated. They died to save what was left, and because of that important thing between them, that during their waking hours was never told but always shown in their actions.

Dumbledore his blue eyes void of the twinkling it usually have, made his last words with tears adorning his eyes. In his hand a blood stained parchment, how their heroes was able to write in their dying times would take something powerful than magic.

Few people knew about the parchment, now everybody would know. Dumbledore thought it is wise to tell it now, for it is maybe what the two would like him to do, that why they left the parchment.

...it's only a few minutes now

...we see a blinding light at the tunnels end

...and the light is not white nor yellow or gold

...but of warm greens and cool reds

...funny that the two colors could be in harmony and perfect together

...like what we have known, what we have realized

...a chance to live is what we gave

...for a chance to be together forever

Everybody in the crowd cried, cried because of what they have lost and cried because beyond that loss something was gained. They have cried for their hero and for the one who saved their hero. They have cried for the boy-who-lived-who-loved and for the boy-who-loved-him-back.

Not from far away the two dared now to get out of their circles that has been holding them against their will. They ran as fast as they could, as if their life depends on it. They ran to each other with open arms, smiles on their faces, tears falling endlessly and embraced each other so hard as if telling something that words could never ever express. Telling each other that this is were they truly belong and would never leave each other from now on. And after like forever they looked onto each others eyes and smiled their smiles oh so sweet, and for the first time and for forever they would be able to say it now and saying it at the same time....

" I love you."
