*~*~*I will remember you,

Will you remember me?

Don't let your life pass you by,

Weep not for the memories*~*~*

Standing in the pouring rain, Harry Potter lifted his head up as he watched the blonde-haired young man walking down the quiet street. It was very dark with storm clouds overhead, but Harry could spot Draco Malfoy even if he were blind. Harry started walking toward Draco - slowly. He got more nervous with every step. He hoped Draco hadn't forgotten about him.

Harry continued to follow Draco as Draco walked along by himself. They passed houses and shops. Harry didn't know where he was going, but he didn't care. He just wanted to be with Draco.

Harry held his breath when they finally stopped walking. Draco and Harry were now standing in front of a house. A family-sized house which was white, with black window shutters and a brown door. The house had a nice grassy front lawn with a row of flowers running along each side of the path leading toward the front door. There was a white picketed fence surrounding the house.

Draco opened the fence door and headed up the path. The gate closed behind him, but Harry walked right through it...he was a ghost, after all. For a moment or two, Draco stopped walking and whirled around, probably getting the feeling that he was being followed. Harry smirked at the thought.

When Draco walked inside the house, Harry followed. Harry was surprised to find himself in a very well-lit foyer. He watched Draco take off his coat and hat and hang them up on the coat rack to dry. He watched Draco pull off his wet boots and put them underneath a bench to dry.

"Honey - I'm home," Draco finally said.

Honey? Thought Harry. Oh well, I guess I can't expect him to live his life without ever falling in love again...

Then he heard another voice. "I'm in the kitchen, dear." It was a woman's.

Draco stood up from the chair he had been sitting in and Harry followed him into a small room, which looked like the kitchen. Harry watched silently as Draco walked over to his wife...Hermione Granger! Harry gaped as Draco kissed Harry's best friend on the lips and smiled at her.

"How was the little tyke today?" Draco asked, grinning. Harry looked over to where Draco was gazing, and saw in Hermione's arms, a baby.

Hermione grinned. "Little Harry said 'Daddy' today," she gushed happily. So they had named the baby Harry, had they named the baby after him? Harry couldn't tell.

"Did he?" Draco exclaimed.

Hermione nodded. "Yes, show Daddy how you can say his name," she coaxed the baby. But all baby Harry did was make gurgling noises and squirmed in his mother's arms. Hermione turned to Draco. "He did say 'Daddy' today."

Draco shrugged. "Well, I'm sure he'll say it again." Draco walked over to the table where The Daily Prophet newspaper lay and picked it up. "What's for dinner?"

Hermione sighed. "Chicken," she replied. "How was work today at the Ministry?"

Draco shrugged again. "It was rather quite boring, actually. Now that the Dark Lord is gone..." he paused. "...Things aren't so busy anymore at the Ministry."

"Here, can you take Harry up to his room and put him to sleep so I can start dinner?" Hermione asked, handing the baby to Draco.

"Sure, c'mon, Harry." He took the baby from Hermione, put down the paper, and headed out of the room and up the stairs. Harry followed.

They walked down a dim, narrow hallway. When they finally reached the baby's room, Draco turned the door knob and opened it, walking inside. The room was a bit dark, so Draco turned on a small lamp next to the baby's crib. The walls of baby Harry's room were light blue, and there was a light green rug on the floor. Baby toys were stuffed on shelves and a dresser stood in one corner of the room. The crib was at the other end, and a mobile of moons and stars dangled from above it.

Draco first walked over toward a small diaper changing table, where he checked baby Harry's diaper before putting him to bed. Then, he took out a cute little sky blue pajama suite from the dresser and changed baby Harry.

While he was putting Harry to bed, Draco began humming a familiar song. Harry recognized it right away - it was their special song. The song they first danced to - the song they had shared their first kiss to.

Suddenly, Harry coughed, causing Draco to become startled at the knowledge that someone was in the room. He turned around, now he was facing in Harry's direction, though he couldn't see Harry.

"Who's there?" Draco asked, a little nervously. "I know someone's there...show yourself!"

Harry sighed, and made himself visible. It was time to tell Draco.

Draco gasped in shock when he saw Harry standing there. For a moment or two he was speechless.

"Harry...is that really you?" he softly asked in awe.

Harry nodded.

"Have you been following me?" Draco demanded. Harry nodded again. "Whatever for?"

Finally, Harry spoke. "I have to tell you something, Draco," he started slowly.

"What is it? Is it the Dark Lord? Has he come back?"

Harry shook his head. "Voldemort is dead. He can't come back. It's actually more of a question."

"What is it?" Draco repeated.

Harry hesitated. "Did...did you forget about me?" he asked, barely louder than a whisper.

Draco stared, stunned. "What? Of course not, Harry I - "

"Then why did you marry someone else? Why did you start a family with someone else?"

"Well, I - " Draco took a deep breath at the pause. "I can't go on with my life, mourning you, Harry. I had to move on. That's what Professor Dumbledore told me I should do."

"You married Hermione - one of my best friends," Harry accused.

"Well, yes but we're...we're...we're in love, Harry. I'm sorry, but we are."

"So you don't love me anymore?"

Draco shook his head. "No, that's not it at all, Harry. Of course I still love you. I always have and always will...but even I have to be happy."

Harry sighed and pursed his lips together. How could Draco betray him like this? "Right before I died, you swore to me that you would always love me and never fall in love with anyone else. You betrayed me, Draco. And you've forgotten about me."

"But I haven't forgotten about you!" Draco insisted. "How could I have forgotten about you?"

"The anniversary of my death, Draco - you never came to visit my grave!" Harry finally snapped. "Not ever!"

They were silent for a few minutes, neither one could look at each other in the eye.

There. He had said it.

Finally, Draco spoke. "Blimey, Harry - did I really? I'm really sorry...I guess there's just been a lot on my mind, and well, you're right...I guess I did forget."

"How could you?" Harry felt like crying - he had never been so hurt before by anyone.

"Harry, I swear to you that from now on, every year, I'll come and visit your grave on your anniversary. What type of flowers do you want me to bring?"

Harry smiled at this. "One single red rose," he replied. Draco nodded. Harry then gazed down at baby Harry, who was now lying in his crib, sleeping. He smirked. "He's cute."

Draco nodded. "Yeah, we named him after you." He paused. "I chose the name. Hermione liked it so she agreed to it."

"How's she doing?" Harry asked.

"Hermione? Oh, she's doing alright, I suppose."

Harry nodded. "Well, I guess I'd better be off now. Er - do you reckon it will be possible for me to see you again?"

Draco grinned. "You can bloody count on it, you stupid git." They chuckled. As Harry started to fade away, Draco said, "Hey, Harry...I will remember you. I promise." And Draco watched quietly as Harry vanished outside into the darkness.

*~*~*I'm so afraid to love you, but more afraid to lose.

Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose.

Once there was a darkness, deep and endless night,

You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light*~*~*

THE END.
