Fifteen-year-old Harry Potter was in the library for some late-night studying. He usually didn't study, that was his best friend, Hermione Granger's thing, but this test he had the next day in his Transfigurations class was going to count for a large part of his grade - and Harry had spent basically all day with his Gryffindor house Quidditch team, practicing for their next big game against Slytherin house.

He still couldn't believe that early that year, his house had voted him captain of their Quidditch team. Still Seeker, an impressively good one, and extremely popular. That's because Harry Potter was a famous wizard - probably one of the most famous wizards in the world. Every witch and wizard knew his name and face.

The one thing he lacked was his academics. If his parents were still alive, they probably would be bugging him to do better and try harder in school, but he lived with the Dursleys - the only relatives he had that were still alive, and they didn't give a damn about how he did in school, so he had never been pressured into doing well in school like his friends.

Harry was leaning against one of the bookcases as he read a chapter in his Transfigurations textbook for level five. He preferred to study standing up verses sitting down at one of the tables in the library. Plus he had been sitting on a broomstick basically all day and needed to give his butt a break.

Just then, the door to the library opened and another Hogwarts student hurried inside. Harry looked up and recognized the student right away - it was Cho Chang. Cho was a year older than Harry and in the Ravenclaw house, but she was the most beautiful girl Harry had ever seen. He'd had a crush on her for about three years now, but was always too shy to tell her.

They were the only ones in the library now...maybe this was his chance to make his move. Cho had gone over to one of the book shelves, got out a book, and sat down at a table nearby to read. Harry walked slowly over to her, now starting to feel very numb.

"Hi, Cho," Harry said quickly before he could stop himself. Cho had been frowning but looked up and when she saw him, she started to smile.

"Oh, hi Harry - I didn't realize anyone was in here. Catching up on some last minute studying for that Transfigurations test tomorrow?"

Harry nodded. "Yeah. How about you?"

Cho shrugged. "Same here...looks like McGonagall's giving a test to all of her students."

"Do mind if I sit down?" Harry asked, suddenly his bottom didn't hurt so much anymore.

Cho smiled again. "Sure, you know I'm having a lot of trouble with Transfigurations and I was hoping like...maybe we could study together since we both need to prepare for the test."

"Aren't you in a different level than me?" Harry asked.

Cho nodded. "Yeah, but there's really not much difference between grades five and six," she replied. So Harry slid in the empty seat next to Cho and they spent basically all night in the library, studying together.

* * * * *

Weeks passed and the more time Harry spent with Cho Chang, the more in love he became with her. Pretty soon they started spending basically all their free time with each other - taking walks around Hogwarts castle, talking constantly. The only times when they couldn't be together were when they were eating in the Great Hall, in classes, or in their house dormitories.

It was then on Christmas Eve when Cho finally told Harry how she really felt about him. They were sitting on a bench right outside Hogwarts castle at the time and just talking to each other about their day. That's when Cho interrupted Harry.

"Harry," she said suddenly. Harry stopped talking and looked at her. "I've been wanting to tell you this for so long but for some reason, I couldn't get myself to do this."

"What - you want to break up with me or something?" Harry couldn't help asking.

Cho shook her head. "Oh, no! I just wanted to say that I - I - I love you, Harry Potter." Harry just stared at her. "I love you so much! And well, I just want to know what you really think of me."

Harry paused for a moment. "I think you're beautiful," he replied honestly. "And I love you too, Cho." It was like magic when they kissed for the first time. It was the most wonderful moment in Harry's life.

The kiss lasted a long time. Harry touched Cho's face gently with his hands and then ran his hands down the back of her body, down to her waist. Cho had her arms wrapped around his neck as they kissed on and on.

The kiss finally stopped when Harry agreed to go up to the Ravenclaw dormitory where they could make out. Cho had told Harry that no girl from Ravenclaw were staying at Hogwarts during Christmas break, so they'd have the whole girls' room to themselves.

Up in the Ravenclaw girls' room, Harry and Cho were on Cho's bed, standing up on their knees and stripping off their clothes. They couldn't stop kissing. It was dark inside the room but the room felt suddenly very warm.

Now Harry started kissing Cho all over her naked body, while Cho was doing the same to him. Cho felt herself falling down onto the bed and her head landed on the pillow. Harry let himself fall gently on top of her. Cho giggled, because this was such a strange, yet wonderful feeling.

Finally, Harry stopped kissing Cho and stared at her. "Cho?" he asked, almost breathlessly.

Cho stared back at him. "Yes, Harry?"

"Will you, um, marry me?" He had reached down onto the floor and grabbed his pants that held a diamond ring inside one of the pockets. He pulled out the ring box and opened it up so she could see the ring.

Cho gasped. "Oh, Harry - yes, yes I will marry you!" she exclaimed happily. She knew she had been waiting for Harry to ask her about a year ago.

Harry put the ring on Cho's finger and they went back to kissing.

I'm going to marry Cho, Harry thought happily to himself. I'm going to marry Cho Chang!
