Hermione glanced at her watch; it was already 10:20. She was supposed to have met Dumbledore, Draco, and Harry five minutes ago.

She left the room, only looking back once to say, "Good-bye Harry."

Hermione walked along the dark halls to Dumbledore's office. When she reached his office, the door was already open.

She entered, closing the door behind her. Draco was sitting on one side of the room, and Harry on the other. Hermione sat down next to Draco.

"Are you okay?" Draco asked, obviously noticing the redness of her cheeks.

"I'm fine," Hermione whispered.

"I'm glad that you two were able to be here," Dumbledore said to Draco and Hermione. "And I believe you would like to tell Harry something."

Hermione stared into Harry's brilliant green eyes. "Harry, I'm so sorry," she said quietly. "We should have told you sooner. It just got out of control. I wanted to tell you, but I was too afraid."

Hermione bit her lip to stop herself from crying again. She looked at Draco.

"We should have told you about your real father sooner, and we know that we've made a big mistake not telling you, but we want to make it up to you," Draco said.

"Nothing you do will ever make up for eleven years of lies," Harry sneered, staring out the window.

Hermione buried her face in her hands and quietly sobbed. She could feel the eyes of Harry, Draco, and Dumbledore burning on the back of her neck.

Everything's going to be okay...

Harry's voice echoed in her mind.

Hermione raised her head and said, "I want to tell you the truth.

"When I was sixteen, the summer before my seventh year at Hogwarts -"

"Miss Granger," Dumbledore interrupted. "I believe it is important for us to explain Harry's father's past."

Hermione nodded. "Harry, your father was Harry Potter," she said.

Harry's jaw dropped. "You mean, the one that defeated Voldemort?"

Draco shuddered slightly at the name.

"Yes," Hermione said. "A prophecy was made shortly after he was born. From what Harry told me, it meant that only he could kill Voldemort."

"And only Voldemort could kill him until the prophecy was fulfilled," Dumbledore added.

"Then, the summer before seventh year, I found out that I was pregnant with his child -"

"Eww!" Harry shrieked, covering his ears.

"Harry James Malfoy!" Hermione yelled. "This is very important! We were soon forced to break up because of my parents."

"During our seventh year," Draco continued, "Your mother and I were forced to live together because we were Head Boy and Girl."

"We absolutely hated each other," Hermione said. "We had hated each other for six years, why would that year be any different? But after less than a week, I told Draco that I was pregnant and he helped me gather my courage and tell your father."

"Wait," Harry said confusedly. "You hated each other?"

"Oh, yes," Dumbledore said cheerfully. "They fought worse than any students I have ever seen."

"It's not my fault he was an insensitive jerk," Hermione said.

"Excuse me?" Draco shot back. "You were the insufferable know-it-all."

"Mr. Malfoy, Mrs. Malfoy, you will control your anger and behave like adults," Dumbledore ordered.

Hermione took a deep breath. This was the first time she ever had to explain what had happened that day in Hogsmeade. Everyone had known; she had never had a reason to tell anyone until now.

"We were in Hogsmeade. It was May, just a few days before you were born," Hermione said. "Voldemort appeared out of nowhere." Her eyes were now welling with tears. "There were screams coming from outside the Three Broomsticks. I went to check what was going on. He hit me with Crucio..."

Hermione's voice was drowned out by her sobs.

Draco continued, "There was a duel with your mother, your father, Uncle Ron, Voldemort, and I. Your mother was hit again with more Cruciatus curses."

"I don't remember much, but I remember that Voldemort insulted your father -"

"No, Hermione, he insulted my father," Draco corrected her. He them turned to Harry. "You see, my father, your grandfather, was a Death Eater."

"But Mum told me that Death Eaters make their children be Death Eaters," Harry said.

"I rebelled against my parents; that was probably the best thing I ever did," Draco said with a smile. Hermione gave him a rather threatening look. "Besides marry your mother, of course."

"Much better," Hermione said. "So, your father disarmed Voldemort and I grabbed his wand. He hit me with another Crucio and I passed out."

"What happened then?" Harry asked.

Hermione looked at Draco and nodded for him to continue.

"Not much happened," Draco told him. "You mother's pain gave your father enough strength to kill Voldemort."

There was an awkward silence as Harry brought in what they had told him.

"And then my dad was killed by the Death Eaters," Harry muttered.

"Your father was an amazing wizard, Harry, full of bravery, and more importantly, bravery," Dumbledore told him. " You should be proud. Your father gave his life to save the wizarding world. You, too, will be a great wizard. You are just like him."

"How so?" Harry asked.

"Well, let's start with everything about you," Dumbledore said. "You look exactly like him, Harry. Your grandmother had the same green eyes, and your grandfather, well, let's just say your father resembles him very much."

Harry seemed to turn a full shade paler.

"Is something wrong?" Hermione asked her son.

"No," Harry muttered. "Nothing."

"Well," Dumbledore said as he got up. "Mr. Malfoy, I do believe it's time for you to go to bed."

"What?" Draco said.

"He's talking to Harry,' Hermione hissed.

Harry stood up and gave Hermione a hug. "Good night, Mum."

Harry then walked over to Draco and stood in front of him for a few moments before hugging him. Then, Harry whispered something only loud enough for Draco to hear. "I love you, Dad."
