Prequel to Blood Seduction

Ivy sighed as she lied down on the nasty old bed that was in the equally nasty hotel room. In the year 1901, the beds weren't much better from when she was a girl in 1696. Being around for over 200 years and not seeing the world progress too much does make you doubt the reality that she lived in. Oh sure, there was advancement in technology and things like that, but the people still raged war against each other and fought, killing each other off, and to Ivy, that was not progressing.

I really must get a job; all I have is the clothes on my back, that won't get me much money for a place to stay....

So, getting up from the ratty bed, she went to the cracked mirror to try and make herself look presentable. Brushing her hair out, wiping the dirt from her face, and straightening her corset and thin shirt underneath it, then pulling up her tight dragon hide pants that kept falling down her hips. Last week these fit... I really need some food. But if the people around here start to notice the bites, I'll be in trouble... but I can't live off of animals forever! Ivy was cursed with vampirism, being bitten at the age of 17. Nothing had been the same ever since. She shrugged off her worries and grabbed a piece of rope to tie around her waist and put her boots on.

"Well, this is as good as its gunna get." And she walked out of the ratty room.

The sign that said HOGSMEADE was just down the road. True she was in Hogsmeade, which was right near Hogwarts, her school she attended, but that was over a hundred years ago, surely no one would recognize her. So, she walked around freely, looking for anyone that might need someone worth hiring. She walked into the Honeydukes Shoppe, to talk to a nice looking old man with thinning hair at the counter.

"How can I help you miss?" he said with a gruff voice, but nice tone to it non the less.

"I was wondering if you had any work? I'm in need of a job." The old man frowned and shook his head slowly.

"Nope, sure don't miss," he said, but seeing her frown, "but, the pub down the street, the Three Broomsticks, they're in need of some service."

Ivy smiled and nodded. "Thank you," she said and walked out.

The sun was somewhat agitating and she wanted to be inside quickly, so she ran down the street and hurried inside the pub. No one really looked up as she entered, just a couple of old wizards sitting at the bar.

"Shouldn't you be in school youngin?" How stupid are people? She thought to herself.

"No, I'm not in school, I'm here looking for a job." The old men turned away un-interested

and a younger man behind the counter, in his thirties, nice brown wavy hair and a towel in his hand, came up to speak to Ivy.

"So, you want a job eh?" Ivy nodded. "Well, how old are ya?"

"Seventeen, I graduated from Salem Magic Institute in America last year." The bartender nodded and came from behind the counter, circling around Ivy, looking her over.

"You have any experience in a bar?"

"Yes, I used to work in my fathers bar in America, before he died."

"Ok, lets see you make me a Crooked Witches Brew," he said to her with a cocky smirk on his face and pointing behind the counter. Ivy smiled sweetly and walked behind the counter. Piece of cake. She grabbed four bottles of liquor from under the counter, and began mixing them up in a goblet, then adding apple juice and a dash of cinnamon, shaking it, not stirring she handed the foaming goblet to the suspicious bar tender.

"Why on earth did you put cinnamon in it?" he exclaimed looking at the foaming cup.

"Just drink it. "The old bartender swallowed a mouth full of the liquid and his eyes were wide open.

"Well I'll be damned girl, that's the best damn drink I've ever had! Your hired!" Ivy smiled.

"Told ya I knew what I was doing."

"Yes, yes you did. Ha! I gots me a top of the line bartender! And she's cute too!"

Ivy blushed, and the bartender held out his hand,

"The name's Tony, I own this pub."

"Ivy, and now I work here," she said with a laugh and winked at Tony. He only laughed

himself and went back behind the counter, to finish cleaning up.

"So when can I start?"

"Today if you'd like. There's a Hogwarts trip coming through today."

"What time is it?"

"Bout 7 am." Ivy scolded herself for getting up so early.

"Sure, I'll start today." And a black apron came down from one of the shelves above her, landing on her head. It was a full length apron, so she folded it that way only the pocket part was showing and tied it around her tiny corseted waist.

"So, where's you live?" Tony asked her.

"Oh, in the Inn down the road, I don't live around here, no family or anything, so sometimes if I have enough money I'll sleep in an inn or outside." Tony looked at her funny.

"You sleep outside? Girl what's a matter with you? Girl, if you ever need a place to sleep and you aint got the money for a nice place, and I mean a nice place, then you can sleep upstairs in my chambers! Or down here if ya'd like."

Ivy smiled, "I'd appreciate that, thank you."

"Hey, Tony, when them Hogwarts students comin in here?" a gruff looking wizard asked from one of the tables.

"Round eight."

Ivy was at ease, no one had recognized her yet, she got a job, and might even have made a friend, plus got offered a place to stay if she ever needed one. She was in a good mood. But she was hungry, terribly hungry. Her stomach started to have pangs and contractions. The young vampire knew what would happen if she didn't get some type of blood soon, she would wind up puking, and that would not be good.

"There a bathroom around here?" she asked Tony quickly.

He nodded and pointed to the back. Rushing by, she didn't even hear Tony ask her what was wrong. Bolting into the bathroom, Ivy looked around, and a rat, to her convenience came out to see what was going on. She grabbed him quickly before he even knew what was going on. The poor thing was squeaking with terror and squirming.

"I'm sorry..." Ivy whispered, tears in her eyes, but she bit down hard on the little animal anyways, sucking up it's rather un- tasteful blood. In her talking to the rat, she didn't even notice that Tony had followed her into the bathroom to see what was wrong, then only to see her attacking a rat, apologizing to it, and suck its blood. Holy shit, Ivy's a vampire! What am I gunna do!?

Ivy found a rag, and wrapped the little corpse into it, to bury it properly. She turned around, freezing when she saw Tony staring at her, wide eyed. Ivy lowered her gaze, and stood up slowly.

"You're... you're...."

"I'm a vampire, yes. I'm sorry I didn't tell you Tony... well... I had a job for about twenty minutes, heh... well... bye Tony."

"Where are you going Ivy? If you leave I'll be forced to fire you, slacking off on the job."

There was a smile in his eyes and the girl looked up with wide eyes. She jumped on him and hugged him, blood still around her mouth, "Clean yourself up first!"

Ivy put the dirt over the little rat's corpse and walked back inside the pub.

"What made you keep me on?"

"I saw you apologize to the rat before you bit it. Call me stupid, but don't most vampires not really give a damn about who their biting? And besides, I'm a softy for a pretty face." And he winked at her. Smiling, she went along her business of wiping down the tables before the students appeared.

~*~

There was a crowd of voices coming down the road and Ivy raised her eyebrows, Tony only nodded and she hurried behind the bar, not wanting to get trampled. Two seconds later, a herd of good spirited kids walked through the door, shouting and having fun with their friends. Most of them around Ivy's 'age'. Kids came up to the bar, asking for Butterbeers and various other drinks. Ivy often saw boys and girls look up at her and the occasional guy winked. Ivy rolled her eyes. Eventually it got to the point where there were so many kids, Tony actually had to have Ivy's help in serving and taking money. She was bent down getting another case of Butterbeer for a couple of kids when someone came up, poking her in the back laughing and saying, "Tony, get your ungrateful arse up here."

Ivy rose up raising her eyebrow at the person. It turned out to be a boy of her 'age', who looked extremely embarrassed, and his face was turning red.

"Oh, I'm sorry miss, I didn't know he hired anyone, terribly sorry, didn't know you were a girl... uh woman either, um... three Butterbeers please." The poor guy's rambling.

"Its ok no harm done, just a poke you know." And she smiled, taking the money and exchanging them for Butterbeers. The guy walked over to his friend's table clumsily.

Ivy watched him walk away, he was cute. Blackish colored hair that went down to his belt, a goatee, beautiful periwinkle blue eyes, nice chiseled features. Black pants, boots, and a nice silk looking white poet shirt, the sleeves coming tight at his wrists, but loose and baggy everywhere else, making him look from the medieval era. Ivy smiled at his style.

"Well, will you look at that, you made the unbreakable blush!" Tony said to Ivy, causing her to jump.

"Yeah, well I have that effect on people. What's his name anyways?"

"Tells everyone to call him Al, but his name's Albus, Albus Dumbledore."

~*~

"What took so long Al?" Seth asked him.

"Nothing really, there's just, well, I thought Tony was behind the bar and I was kinda rude to this girl he hired and I was apologizing."

"What girl?" he asked again.

"That one," one of Al's other friends, Marcus, said, pointing to the girl behind the bar.

"Damn! She's hot Al, did you ask her out?"

"No I did not Seth, damn it, why do you always ask that?"

"Because if you did, you would have more girls then Zander, and that's saying something." Al rolled his eyes.

"I don't care about that good for nothing Slytherin, always taunting me, he's a jerk, I'm not worried about it. I've been on plenty of dates, just because I don't act like a slut like you, doesn't mean I don't get around."

"Ooooh he got you there Seth," their black friend Marcus said. Seth only rolled his eyes.

"Whatever, hey, there's Trina, catch up with you guys later." Seth got up and left the table.

"His new victim of the week," Marcus said, and they started laughing.

But Al kept looking up at the bar, looking at the girl behind it, when their eyes met, Al blushed again, then raised his Butterbeer and nodded.

~*~

Aww, he is cute, he's blushing! Al raised his glass and nodded "oh great, now I'm blushing! Grr, this isn't nice. Why am I blushing? Because he's cute and he isn't winking at you, that's why. Yeah, yeah, yeah, shut up... and Ivy went about cleaning.

"Tony, we need more Butterbeer, where's the cellar?"

"Next to the bathroom." When Ivy left, Al seized his chance (because of much edging from Marcus) and went up to Tony.

"Hey, Tone, what's that girls name you hired?"

"Ivy, why? You interested?" Al raised his eyebrows.

"Would I be asking you about her if I wasn't?"

"Just asked a simple question Al, but I don't know if she's your type..." Tony was only messing with the guy, they honestly would make a good couple. Al glared at him.

"Well, I'll never know unless I try, will you put in a good word for me?" Tony nodded, and as Al turned around to go back to his seat, he ran straight into Ivy, carrying a case full of Butterbeer. He knocked her over, and she landed on her butt, sending the Butterbeer case flying. But she got up quickly (sometimes the whole vampire thing came in handy) and caught the case before it hit the ground and sat it on the counter. Al stared in amazement.

"Wow... um... wow... that's the second time I've done something completely rude to you, forgive me... and wow... where'd you learn that?" Ivy just smiled shyly.

"Don't worry about being rude to me, you're probably the politest any one has ever been to me, especially guys." She carefully avoided where she learned that, and put her hand down to help the young, not to mention hot, guy up. Ivy was blushing this time as she helped him up, but so was Al, so they were even. Tony cleared his throat and Ivy let go of Al's hand.

"Well, see ya around." Ivy went back down to the cellar to get more Butterbeer.

"Damn Al, you sure know how to do it," Marcus said as he came up to Al and Tony.

~*~

Ivy sort of skipped down the stairs and hurriedly picked up another case of Butterbeer, and practically ran up the steps, she wanted to see Al again, luckily, he was still standing there with a black guy and Tony. When Ivy approached them, setting down the case of Butterbeer, one of them coughed and stopped talking, letting her know, they were talking about her.

"Hey, I'm Marcus," the black guy said and held out his hand. Ivy shook his and smiled.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ivy."

"Say, why do you carry the cases up the steps? Why not just use your magic?"

Ivy got very nervous for a second.

"Maybe she likes the exercise Marcus, don't ask rude questions," Al said, sending an apologetic glance at Ivy. He could apparently sense her discomfort. Al winked at her (this time it wasn't sexual). "Well we better get going, got lots of stuff to buy from Zonkos to torture Argus with. It was really nice to meet you Ivy, and hopefully I'll be seeing you around." He reached down for Ivy's hand, bringing it up to his lips and kissing it. Ivy's eyes got wide and she turned a shade of crimson.

"Bye Al," she breathed, and went behind the counter, to put the Butterbeer up.

Ivy waited for the faint ding of the bell to tell her they left before she turned around, and leaned against the counter. Tony was smiling at her and she hit him.

"What were you guys talking about when I came up with the second case?" she asked suspiciously.

"Oh nothing... just how you asked me what his name was... that seemed all he needed to put on his 'charm'." Tony was smiling as Ivy gave him a sour look.

"Oh don't look so upset, you know you like him."

"How would you know! You've known me for three hours."

"Yes I know, but... I feel like I've known you longer, and I have a feeling that you're going to be like a little sister to me, so get used to it kid." There was a smile creeping up on Ivy's face.

"Excuse me, kid? I'm 205 years old I'll have you know, I am no kid."

Tony found this amusing. "So? You look seventeen, you're a very pretty girl, and whether I should or not, I've grown a liking to you, besides, I would feel weird, you're technically only 17, and I'm 31, so yeah, you're a kid to me." And he winked at her, end of discussion. Ivy decided to let him get away with it. He was a nice guy, and kept her on even though she was a vampire. Smiling she went back to working behind the bar.

~*~

Al was lying in bed, his curtains drawn around his bed, listening to the snores of his fellow Gryffindors. He rolled on his side, thinking about Ivy.

"It's funny. I met the girl just today but something's got me not able to stop thinking about her. She's so nice. But the weird thing is I haven't seen her around before... well she could be from out of town Al, not everyone comes from Britain, besides she didn't even talk like us, she sounded American. But she's so beautiful... when she touched me... wow... that was just...amazing...she has something no Gryffindor girl ever had when they touched me. I wonder if she would go out with me...maybe... I could at least see her again when the headmaster sends me out to get his supplies... and with that, he fell asleep...

~*~

That night, right about the time as Al was dreaming about her, Ivy got off work, and was hungry, yet again, and decided to go to the forest to find something much more appetizing. First, she shed her corset just inside the wood so that she could run much more easily, even though all she had on was a thin long sleeve shirt that barely came under her breast line. But what did she care? She was out to feed, not look good. Soon, she was like an animal, running through the forest, like she did so many years ago. She knew this wood well. Finally she got hold of a good sized bunny, telling it she was sorry before feeding.

Face smeared with blood, she dug a grave, and laid the bunny to rest. She realized that she was as full as she was going to get (which was quite a bit more then she usually gets and should be thankful) so she decided to find her clothing and go back to the inn, hopefully getting a couple hours of sleep when daylight hit before she had to go into the pub at 8.

~*~

"Albus, the headmaster would like to see you." Just the words he'd wanted to hear. It had been three days since he last saw Ivy; he desperately wanted to see her again. He even broke off his relationship with Chelsea, like he cared though, and apparently neither did she. Al walked to the headmaster's door, and knocked once.

"Come in Al."

The door opened on its own and Al walked in, setting down in the chair, looking at the wall of previous headmasters.

"Al, you know why I called you in here, as always, I want you to pick up my supplies, but I also want you to treat yourself to a Butterbeer while you're there, and skip the last three hours of the day." The headmaster looked very pleased with himself.

Al just looked confused.

"Its your birthday dear boy! Don't tell me you've forgotten!" No he surely had not...

"No, how could I headmaster, you saw my friends jumping up and down and singing at

breakfast. I just didn't think you could do such a thing."

"Oh no, I'm not supposed to, but, being your grandfather and all, I figured I had some right." Al smiled. Then, to top everything off, he gave Al a pouch full of money. "Buy yourself something nice Al, now shoo!"

Al gratefully obeyed and bounded down the stairs. But before going off to Hogsmeade he went upstairs to his dorm to change into something he would want Ivy to see him in.

Looking in the mirror he quite agreed with the Black pants, dragon hide boots, black muscle shirt and dragon skin jacket. One last touch was pulling his unruly black hair back and he was set to go.

~*~

It was such a slow day that Ivy was practically falling asleep on the counter. Tony laughed at her and she awoke from her sleep.

"I don't know how you plan on sleeping in that outfit of yours."

Ivy looked down at her outfit and smiled sheepishly, she was wearing muggle clothing she had made today. A leather(hide from a cow that muggles use) corset that covered her breasts and laced up with red tie, (but honestly, it only looked like a corset, it really was just a shirt), bracelet lacing that was supposed to be something like sleeves that went all the way up her arm, stopping at her elbow, and a black short skirt, and her boots from yesterday. Her long, silky black hair was lying as it pleased around her shoulders, and she never wore makeup, seeing as it was expensive.

"Yeah well, I like clothes."

"Trust me you've got enough of them, why not sell them if you need money."

"Nah, I pride myself in my clothes, I've had them sense I was 17, a looong time ago."

Tony looked out the window and noticed Al coming down the road, with a smile on his face, Tony almost forgot that today was Al's eighteenth birthday. Shaking his head, he turned around and told Ivy he would be back in a bit, and seeing as there was absolutely no one in the pub, she really didn't think anything of it. He left, and moments later Al walked in.

~*~

When he walked in, her back was to him, getting herself something to drink (water, the only thing she could manage to get down) turning around, she stopped dead when she saw who it was.

"Damn, she looks great, sexy if I might say. I am so glad the headmaster let me take the rest of the day off... damn...and no ones in here that means we can talk.

"Hey, what's up?"

"Um... nothing exactly... why aren't you in school... not that I don't appreciate the

company..." Ivy seemed to feel a bit awkward.

"No it's cool, the headmaster, my grandpa actually, told me I could pick up his supplies and have the rest of the day off cause its my birthday. Even gave me some money to buy something."

"That's cool. So, you want something?"

"Butterbeer please madam" Al was such a flirt, but in a flattering way.

~*~

He just called me madam, god he's so cute... "No problem, so... um..." Ivy honestly didn't really know how to talk to mortals, it was always awkward for her. Then, Al got an idea.

"Hey, no ones in here, and Tony will be back soon enough, why don't you turn the closed sign and lock up, and we can walk around, talk, and I can get my gramps stuff picked up? What do ya say?" Ivy smiled, but hesitated... it sounded great, it was cloudy out, so the sun wouldn't bother her as much...

"But what if Tony fires me?"

"He won't and if he tries, I'll say I took you hostage." Al had the most gorgeous smile and a twinkle in his eyes.

"Alright, come on." (Tony never really left anyways, when he came out, Al told him what he wanted to do, and Tony told him that he was just gunna give them privacy, he really didn't have anything to do, so Tony doubled back and came in the back way as they went out.

"Ok, first off, to the owl office, and pick his stuff up, then to where ever the lady would like to go." Ivy liked being treated like this, he was such a gentlemen. But Ivy couldn't help thinking that, since this kind of was a date, they needed to do something more then walk around, surely he would want to sit down somewhere or something, and she couldn't eat or drink, nothing except blood, water, and well...coffee... but not much...and it had to be strong, and nothing extremely cold. Ivy waited outside the owl office, because she always seemed to spook the damn things, she just told Al that she didn't like the smell, and he laughed, but went inside without her. She was hugging herself tightly because it was so cold out here, besides the fact that her body temperature was that of a corpse. When Al came back outside he saw her hugging her self and shivering.

"Are you cold Ivy? It's pretty warm out, around 60 degrees."

"Yeah, I am, I um, I get cold really easy, something to do with my blood," (boy was that an understatement) Al smiled at her warmly, and took his jacket off , he slipped it around her, and she put her arms inside the sleeves. The coat was about five sizes to big for her.

"It practically swallows me! I look like a giant blob!" Ivy exclaimed laughing.

"Ah, yes, but a very cute blob my dear." he said as he was laughing at her.

"Come on, where to next?"

"You tell me."

"But it's your birthday."

"Yes, but I couldn't think of a better way to spend it than with a beautiful girl and showing her the sights." Ivy blushed crimson but nodded.

"Ok, well how about the joke shop, I've never been in there." The Gryffindor got an evil grin on his face and nodded fast, dragging her by the hand down the road.

Al showed her all the shops and teased her with the pranks at Zonkos and even bought her a fake black rose that, when you said "show me" directly to it, it would die, then bloom. They were walking down the street, Ivy had her gift in her hand, looking at it fondly, and Al had his grandpas package under his arm.

"How about going to the coffee shop? Maybe it'll warm you up, you're still shaking."

Yeah, but not from the cold... "Sure, sounds good."

A little bell sounded as they entered, and found a table at the back, away from any sunlight, this of course, was Ivy's initiative. A plump woman came up to take their orders.

"I'll have a cappuccino."

"And I'll have a cup of the strongest coffee you have, black, and really hot if you can manage it."

The woman nodded and left.

Al raised his eyebrow,

"Strongest coffee huh?"

"Yeah, it has to be strong, otherwise it makes me sick."

"Hmm, why's that?"

"Never really knew, just the way I am. If we keep... well hanging out like this, you'll soon find out I'm a very peculiar person."

"Oh my, I was beginning to think of this as a date, how wrong I was, but I doubt your that peculiar as you put it." Al seemed amused.

"Stop! You're making fun of me Al! That's not nice to do to your dates. And I didn't just want to assume this was a date." None the less, Ivy was still smiling. Al only bowed his head in an apology, and the plump witch came up with their coffees. Al took his happily and took a really big swig of it.

"You know, I really hate muggle cappuccino, its so weak, wizards coffee is always the best."

"All I've ever had is muggle kind." Ivy said as she tried to take a sip of her coffee, it was steaming, but stopped when Al's eyes got wide.

"You've never had a good cup of this? You have to try it!" he said as he was pushing his cup towards her. He was so enthusiastic, she almost just took a drink without thinking about it, but then stopped herself...

"Does it have flavor? Besides coffee flavor?"

"Not really, a little vanilla. Not much."

"Is it hot?"

"...yeah..."

"Thick?"

"Yeah... Ivy just drink some..." he laughed again.

"Maybe in a minute, let me see how my stomach settles with my coffee, I've been having stomach pains lately."

He nodded, and took his cup back. Ivy brought her cup to her lips again, and took a little into her mouth, but almost puked as she did so. It was so thin! The coffee was like water, and cold! Shit!... but tasted like oranges!!! Ivy dropped the cup and it smashed on the ground.

"Ivy what's wrong?" Al yelled, and the plump witch came running over. Ivy was covering her mouth, and looking around for the bathroom, found it, and quickly ran into it. Someone was running behind her, and she thought it was probably only the witch who served them. She started hugging the toilet, puking a lot of what she ate last night up, it's a good thing she ate more then she usually did. Someone was holding her hair back, their hand on her back. When she finished she was going to wipe her mouth on her arm, but someone gave her a wet towel.

"Thanks..." Ivy turned around and saw that the person who was helping her was Al.

"You didn't have to come in here, I would have been ok..." she looked away, embarrassed.

"Why... why are you looking away, the witch said she gave you the wrong cup of coffee, the one you got had orange in it. Are you ok?" Ivy nodded.

"I'm sorry about puking..."

"It doesn't bother me Ivy, I'm just glad your not like some girls and start screaming when their done." Ivy managed a smile and got up. As soon as she did, she realized it was a bad idea... she started to get dizzy. Al caught her as she was about to fall over...

"Ivy, Ivy stay conscious, please, come on... Ivy... how can I help you?" Ivy blinked her eyes, and stared up into his, they were such a pretty blue, like nothing she had ever seen before. She shook her head, and... wasn't dizzy anymore.

"I'm... I'm fine now Al... thank you." Al looked a little confused, but let her stand, and surprisingly, she could. Walking over to the sink, she washed her mouth out really good. She looked down again, then looked back up, smiling at him. "Thanks Al, really." And she hugged him. "Come on, let's go." They got there stuff from the table, and the little witch insisted that they both got a free double thick cappuccino. Al took a drink of his.

"Hey, this aint bad... really is thick." Ivy hesitated, but took a drink of hers too... and surprisingly, she found she wanted more. It was as thick as blood, thicker maybe, and because she just puked, had the faint taste of blood, so she was able to drink the hot drink and not puke. She smiled up at Al and, had to ask him.

"Al, let's sit down for a second, I want to ask you something." So they found a bench,

"Do you know why all of a sudden I was ok there in the bathroom?"

Al nodded slowly, somehow he knew this was coming...

"Are you a healer Al?" Al looked away but nodded. It was uncommon, even in the wizarding world to be able to heal without a wand. Ivy only smiled, and she pulled him around to look at her, and her smile grew wider. Al looked at her funny, but Ivy just kept smiling.

"You...you don't think I'm a freak?..." Ivy started laughing and her eyes were wide.

"HIM! A freak! Hahahaha!!!"

"Not at all Sly one, not at all." And he seemed to ease a bit. She looked into his eyes, and saw that hint of happiness and laughter, and power. You didn't live 205 years without knowing power. She put her hand on his shoulder and moved a bit closer, then putting her hands on his neck, she leaned in, and kissed him softly on the lips. He obviously was taken by surprise, but kissed her back. Ivy licked his bottom lip slowly, but wouldn't open her mouth because of the fangs. But he managed to get his tongue barely in her mouth, and Ivy managed not to panic. It seemed he didn't notice, cause he didn't pull back in fright.

~*~

Holy crap... she's kissing me! She's kissing me! And even though what just happened she tastes really, really good... god she smells good too...hold on... what is that..."

He pushed his tongue into her mouth a little more... fangs... she has fangs... wow...that explains a lot... but yet... I'm not freaking out...

~*~

When they pulled out of the kiss, Ivy noticed that his hands were around her waist, and when she looked down, he tried to pull them away, but Ivy just shook her head and scooted closer.

"Well, I've never gotten that reaction from someone who I just told I was a freak..." Ivy smiled.

"Told you Sly, your not a freak."

"Sly huh... I like it..." Al smiled. He had an idea.

"Well, I told you my big secret, you tell me one."

Oh crap... I really don't have any secrets except the one... but I can't tell him that, I've only known him for like a week... but I mean, if he's just going to freak out about it later, I might as well get it over with...maybe he won't freak... well here goes...

"Ok, but not here, come on." She led him into the woods, and into a little clearing with a stream and a nice big tree. They sat down, and Ivy sat down next to him, under the tree.

"Ok... are you sure you want to know..."

"Yeah I want to know..."

Ivy took a deep breath, "Well... you see... I'm... I'm not exactly normal myself... I um...I..." but it seemed that Ivy couldn't finish the sentence. She desperately wanted to run away, but couldn't...

"You're a vampire aren't you?" Al said looking her straight in the eye. Ivy's jaw hit the floor.

"W-w-what...h-h-how...?" she stammered. Al brought his hand up to her mouth and closed it with one finger.

"When I was kissing you, I noticed the fangs..." Ivy started to have tears in her eyes and started to get up...

"Hey... where are you going? I don't want you to leave..." but it was to late, she was already running deeper into the forest. Al kept calling after her, but she never came back.

Great Al, just fucking great, the one girl who seems to actually like you, that you like back, you fuck it up.

~*~

Ivy ran, and ran, and ran. Crying as hard as she could, running as fast as she could, never looking back.

~*~

Al walked into the great hall to dinner, Marcus and Seth were fighting over who was the hottest, like always. He sat down,

"Hey Al, where you been? Gramps let you go out and skip some classes for your birthday?" Marcus asked him, and Al only nodded.

"Man, what's wrong?"

"Nothing... I was... well I was out on a date with Ivy, and she... well I think I fucked up..."

"Who's Ivy?" Seth asked.

"The girl from the pub," Marcus responded without looking at him.

"What happened?"

"I don't know, we were having a good time, and I guess I said something wrong... I don't know, I don't want to talk about it, I'm going to bed..."

But when Al got upstairs, he found he couldn't sleep, instead he decided to write Ivy a letter.

~*~

By the time she got back from the woods, it was at least seven pm, and when she walked up to the pub, there was a note on the door saying that he closed early cause he didn't feel good, and told her to go on home. Sighing, she walked down to the inn, twirling her black rose in her hand. She opened the door and planned on falling straight onto the bed, but found she would have landed on an extremely ruffled looking bird. The poor bird looked scared to death when Ivy entered the room, but settled a bit when Ivy put her hand down to pet the poor thing, and untie the letter on its leg. It didn't fly away, it had orders to wait for a response. Slowly she broke the seal and opened the letter.

Dear Ivy,

Please forgive me for whatever I did back there in the forest. I didn't want to hurt you, you're such a wonderful person. I don't care that you're a vampire. I really don't, it doesn't bother me in the least. I... I care about you the way you are. I know we've only known each other for a week, I'm going to go out on a limb here and try not to sound cheesy when I say I swear it feels like I've known you so much longer then that. You really are a great person. I'm sorry for making you run off like that in the woods, I didn't mean to. You see when I kissed you I didn't pull back in fright or disgust, I didn't care about it. I accept you for who you are. I care for you, for who you are. And if I might say so, I find it attractive... but when you kissed me today, I've never felt anything like that before, please Ivy, I have to see you again tonight, to apologize in person, please? Meet me at the same spot at 10, I know how to get there. Please meet me there. Send an answer with my owl,

Yours,

Sly

Ivy had tears in her eyes and she looked up at the old owl.

"I should go shouldn't I?" the old owl hooted. She pulled out a piece of parchment and all she put on it was a black heart and her name.

When Al got the sheet back he looked questioningly at the owl, but the old thing just hooted and flew off to the owlery.

"Ok Ivy, I'll take that for a yes," he whispered, and went to find which of his friends had the cloak.

~*~

Ivy left the inn at 9:30 to walk to her secluded spot and maybe have time to think. When she got there, Al wasn't there yet, so she sat down next to the water (she changed into pants first) and put her hand in the water, letting the coolness run over her body. Usually she wouldn't like the feeling, but she was nervous and she needed something soothing to calm her. Slowly she started to hum the song her mom used to sing to her when she was young. Al came upon her sitting like that, head back, hand in the water and singing. The moonlight shone down perfect on her pale skin, making her look like hell's lost angel. Her black hair swirling in the light wind that was running through the trees. For some reason he was trembling, but he walked forward, shedding the cape as he did so, then sitting down beside Ivy without her even knowing,

"Hello Ivy," he whispered into her ear and she snapped her eyes open, and turned to face him with a hard expression, but then seeing who it was, it softened.

"Hey Sly, thought you would never want to see me after that..." Ivy looked away.

"Quite the opposite. Made me realize that's why you didn't care that I was a natural healer, because you had a secret of your own, makes us kind of alike, if you think about it." Ivy smiled at his odd way of thinking. She still looked uncertain about his acceptance of her being a vampire, Al could see it in her eyes. He stared straight into them, and for the first time realized they were the color of sapphires. It made him gasp.

"Your eyes... they're amazing... just like you Ivy." Then without hesitating he leaned in and kissed her softly, so soft, and so intimate, so caring. Ivy was taken by surprise but gave into the gentle kiss, and this time was aware that Al's hands had wrapped themselves around her waist and he pulled her closer, coaxing her mouth open with his tongue. Ivy wasn't sure if she should, but she wanted it so bad, finally she had to give in. She opened her mouth, and gasped as he slid his tongue into her mouth, carelessly, as if she were just another human, and played with her tongue teasingly. Finally, Ivy just closed her eyes and enjoyed the experience. Then, before she even realized it, Al had his tongue on one of her fangs, tracing it, playing with the sharpness. Her eyes crinkled up in confusion, but she didn't open her eyes, she didn't want to see the pained expression on Al's face, but if she had opened her eyes, she would have seen quite different expression. He had the look of ecstasy on his face, he never could imagine that something like that would feel so smooth, so nice, on his tongue. He pulled away, sucking on her bottom lip, leaving both their lips swollen. But he wouldn't let her go, he still had his arms around her, then leaning his forehead against hers he looked into her eyes.

"That was the most amazing experience I have ever had. The feeling of your fangs on my tongue, and your tongue in my mouth, it was amazing, totally and utterly amazing!" Al was breathing heavily.

"You don't have to act for my sake Sly."

Al shook his head roughly and took her head in his hands and made her look straight into his eyes.

"Look at me Ivy, Look! I am not acting! Please! You have to believe me! Please, I am not acting in the least. You're amazing! The feelings you make me feel are amazing!" Al was still staring straight into her eyes, never once faltering, and Ivy, staring into those periwinkle blue eyes, knew that he was telling the truth. One tear ran down her face and she smiled. He kissed her tear away, and pulled her close, holding onto her. He looked down at this beautiful creature laying in his arms, crying from joy, and intertwining her fingers in his.

"Ivy," he whispered. She turned around to look up at him.

"Yes?"

"I want you as mine, be mine Ivy." Ivy smiled.

"You had me a long time ago Sly." She winked and leaning up, she kissed him on the nose, then on the cheek, then below his lips, then went to sucking on his bottom lip. He moaned a little, but kissed her back all the same.

"Ivy?"

"Hmm?"

"If I made you promise me something, something I want you to do, will you do it without hesitation?" he asked her with a weird glint in his eye.

"Well...yeah I guess so..."

"No, I need a yes or no."

"Then yes, Sly, I would."

"Good... have you fed tonight?"

"...no..." Then Al slipped his shirt off over his head and leaned his head to one side, exposing his neck.

"No Al, I can't."

"Its not like you'll kill me, you'll only take your fill, which isn't that much. I checked a book out in the library." Ivy was amazed at his initiative, but still shook her head.

"No, I don't want to hurt you."

"But you promised me you would, and now you have to. I want you to, please. And it's not like you'll turn me into a vampire if you bit me, you have to do that three days in a row and on the third day exchange blood. Please Ivy, I want you too."

Ivy still shook her head, but when she saw the vein pulsing in his neck, going along with his heart beat, she couldn't take it anymore. Slowly she crept up, sitting on top of Al, never once looking from the pulse. Al closed his eyes in ecstasy, as a bulge in his pants started to appear. He hadn't expected that...

Ivy licked the vein, causing Al to shudder, which only made it pulse more. Suddenly Ivy bit into his skin, sinking her fangs deep down into him, hearing the flesh tear apart as she did so. Al let out a hissing sound but didn't move, and Ivy kept lapping up his blood. The sweet metallic taste entering her mouth. It had been so long since she had human blood. His was so pure, so godly pure and stung her tongue. She welcomed the warmth of it into her mouth, drinking deeply. All the while she had been hearing Al let out slight stifles of moans, of agony or lust Ivy really wasn't sure. When she finished she was panting, but all that was left on Al's neck was two red puncture holes, just red, no blood, no nothing. The area around it had been sucked dry, and the wounds would heal before the blood returned to the surface. Ivy looked over at Al, he was leaning back on his hands, eyes closed, and panting heavily. She noticed something poking her, and looked down. What she saw made her smile.

"So those were moans of pleasure Sly," she said seductively as she leaned up and kissed him. Al only smiled and licked his lips, then, out of no where, he grabs Ivy around the waist and spins her over so he's on top, smiling down at her.

"That... was... the... best...thing...ever!" Their lips met forcefully, tongues battling one another, as they lay there in each others arms. Eventually they fell asleep, but Al woke up after only an hour. It was almost 12:30, and Ivy shouldn't be out here sleeping on the ground. He decided to carry her to the inn. Tony had told him the room, so he picked her up, (she was surprisingly light) and carried her to the dingy room. Laying her down on her bed, he covered her up, kissed her once, and started to leave, but her hand grabbed his.

"Please, don't leave Sly, can't you stay with me tonight?" She looked groggily up at her lover, he nodded and she scooted over to make room. Turning over to face him, she snuggled up against him.

"You know, this is the safest anyone's ever made me feel." She kissed him once before falling asleep in his arms.

~*~

The next morning, Ivy woke up to find a note lying next to her instead of Sly;

My Darling,

I'm sorry to have to leave so early, but I had to get inside before anyone noticed me. I left around 4 am. It was amazing to sleep with you my lovely. Today is Friday, so tonight I thought maybe we could go out and do something, maybe spend the weekend together.

~All my love

Sly

Ivy smiled and rolled over, clutching the note in her hand. An hour later she got up and got dressed to go to work. Carefully she picked out her clothing she would wear because she would be seeing Al tonight. She pulled out her black pants that had cuts all up and down them, even around the butt, a shirt that had straps for the material around the stomach area, but covered her breasts, and was long sleeved, going down and flaring out, also black. Her hair was left down again and she put the only piece of jewelry she owned around her neck. A choker made of rubies. Practically skipping into the pub she took her apron and got behind the bar.

"Hello Tony!" she said brightly. Tony smiled.

"Well hello Ivy, have a good night I presume? Did Al make it back to school on time?" he said with a wink. Ivy was in too good of a mood to scowl at him, she only frowned, then quickly started serving customers.

~*~

Al was going through his lessons in a daze. When was school going to be over? He wanted to see Ivy. He hadn't gotten into trouble, but it had been a close thing. Filtch almost caught him walking in, but he told the old slime ball that his gramps told him to do something before the other students woke up.

~*~

Ivy overheard a man and a woman in a corner of the pub, talking about a baby bird and about how they were going to get rid of it, if someone didn't take it. Ivy couldn't help it, she had to go over and ask them about it.

"Excuse me, Sir, Ma'am, I couldn't help but overhear about your need to take a bird off of your hands?"

"Yes that's right..."

"Well, how much would he cost? And what type of bird is it?"

"Oh girlie, this bird don't take kindly to just anyone. But if you think it'll like you, you can have him for free. We can't handle the damn thing anymore."

Then the old gentleman pulled a box from out of his bag with a little red bird inside. It was beautiful, gold and red. The poor thing was squawking like mad, but you couldn't hear it because of the sound proof box.

"Oh please! Let me see if he likes me!" The old man nodded and took the bird from the box.

There were loud noises coming from the bird immediately, as the box was opened. The people in the pub turned around and looked. Ivy took the little creature carefully in her hands and it looked at her, still crying out, but a little softer now. Ivy pet its head softly and held him against her. And suddenly, just like that, the little bird stopped crying, and craned its neck up to get a better look at Ivy. Then, climbing up her arm it reached her shoulder and started rubbing its face against her own, making a cooing sound.

"Well I'll be! The damn things adores you! Well miss, you got yourself a phoenix!"

"How do I feed him?"

"Oh he eats most anything, but greenery is the best for him honestly. Do you now about them birds there?" Ivy shook her head. "Ok then, well, these birds, they live forever, it'll grow up in a short period of time, then, when it gets old it'll burst into flames and die, then from the ashes, be re-born." Ivy was wide eyed.

"Wow, you are a special little fell aren't ya?" The little animal just cooed. Ivy smiled and went over to the bar again.

"Look Tony, isn't he adorable!? And he isn't petrified of me!" Tony just smiled and laughed.

"Go and get the damn thing something to eat and a cage, I don't want him shitting on my counters. Here's part of your paycheck." Ivy smiled and walked out of the pub with money in hand. Soon enough she found it some food to eat and a nice cage. He seemed to like it well enough.

"How about I name you... Fawkes?" the little red bird cooed its approval and flapped its non-flying wings. Oh he could fly, just not at the moment. When Ivy got back to the pub, she found a place to hang the cage behind the bar, and went back to work.

~*~

The end of the school day finally came and Al ran up to the headmaster's office to ask approval of being able to go out and see Ivy. He did, and pretty quickly too, which surprised Al, but he set off for Hogsmeade anyways. Walking into the pub, he saw Ivy bending over a table, wiping it off, so he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist and whispered in her ear.

"Hey my love." She smiled, and turned around.

"Hey Sly," she said, kissing him. "So do we get to spend the whole weekend together?"

Al nodded, and started kissing on Ivy's neck. It sent chills down her spine. Then from behind the bar, Fawkes cooed loudly.

"Hey, kid, take care of your bird, I don't think he likes the lovey-dovey crap," Tony said laughing. Ivy pulled out of Al's embrace and walked over to the bar.

"You got a bird? Cool," and he walked over too. "WOW! Is that a phoenix!?"

"Yeah it is, isn't he gorgeous? This couple came in this morning and said they couldn't find anyone to take him because he was very picky about who took him, and if he didn't like them, he started squawking. So I picked him up and after about thirty seconds he stopped crying and nuzzled up to me." Ivy said proudly.

"Well of course, who could resist you? I sure can't," Al said kissing her on the neck. Ivy giggled.

Did I just giggle?

"Take him out, I wanna see if he likes me."

So Ivy reached up and un-did the latch on his cage. He was already growing, that's why she got him a bird cage that grew with him. When she stuck her hand inside he hopped onto it happily and started chirping. Then Al stuck his hand out next to Ivy's, over the counter of course incase he fell, and Fawkes leaned down to smell Al. Then the little bird looked up at him and looked into his eyes, then finishing the inspection he abruptly chirped at Al, but he didn't flinch, he simply smiled, then smiled at Ivy. Fawkes apparently approved and hopped onto his hand and climbed up his arm, nuzzling against his face also.

"He likes you," Ivy said laughing.

"Yeah, apparently." Al was still smiling though. Then, Fawkes jumped down onto the counter and looked from Ivy to Al, he grabbed Al's hand gently with his beak, and put it on top of Ivy's hand that was resting on the counter. Then the little match-making bird jumped from off their hands and went to fly to his cage. Ivy was blushing but Al pulled her close.

"You know, your bird has a point, we do make a perfect match Ivy."

"Kid, if you keep skipping out on me I'm going to have to hire more help," Tony said smiling and laughing at the young, (well sorta) couple. "But go on, get out of here, its empty anyways. It'll pick up later, but my um... girlfriend said she would help me out." Tony was blushing.

"Since when did you get a girlfriend Tony?" Ivy was teasing.

"Oh, the other day... heh, I'll tell you details later kid, go have fun." Ivy nodded and pulled Al out the door. As soon as they hit the road, she jumped on him, not doubting that he would catch her, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissing him.

Al did catch her, and he said, "God I felt like I was dying in that school. I just wanted to get out and see you."

"I know what you mean, I was restless all day." They kissed again and he let Ivy down.

"Come on, let's go to the spot in the woods, I have something to show you," Al said as he dragged her along at a run. She almost fell a couple of times running through the woods and being attached at the hand with her boyfriend. But she managed and just before the couple of trees hiding their secluded spot was in front of them he stopped her and put his hand over her eyes, and flicked his wand towards the seclusion without her knowing, then led her into their area.

"Ready?" he whispered anxiously into her ear. She nodded eagerly, and he pulled away his hand so she could look around. She gasped and turned around and around so she could get a better view. There were what seemed to be lights twisting all the way up the Oak tree in the middle of the grounds, and lights in its leaves. Black rose petals scattered around its base and a black velvet blanket laid down by the trunk of the tree and then little candles lining the stream's edge. Then, sitting to the side by the stream were two glasses full of what seemed to be wine. Ivy was crying and she hadn't even known it as she turned around and kissed Al, wrapping his long hair into her hands, playing with the silky-ness of it and sucking on his lip and tongue.

"It's beautiful," she managed to breathe. He led her over by the hand to the blanket and sat her down.

"Here, drink the wine."

"You know I can't..." Ivy said slowly...

"Ah, but yes you can, this is your type of wine, and this is mine." He said winking, and Ivy looked down at her glass. Sure enough, the liquid inside was blood, and it was still warm.

"Who's is it?"

Al smiled. "Mine" Ivy's face must have showed her shock because he leaned down and whispered, "I would do anything for you."

She raised the glass to her lips and drank deeply, not wanting to miss a drop. Her lips were a bright red when she finished. Al had drunk his red wine and was looking at Ivy's expression of ecstasy. He leaned in and kissed her with blood still on her lips, and she kissed him back, the small amount of blood that was left in her mouth going in and out of both of theirs. Al put his arms around her waist, his hands resting on her bare skin from the shirt, and it made her tingle. Then she put her arms around his neck, and her hands back in his long hair, pulling the tie out of it and kissing his neck, then pulling him on top of her.

"You know, I'm not so cold anymore, I'd say I was getting rather hot, and it's not just body heat." Al's eyes got big and he nodded running his hands down her body. That night, it seemed that invisible fireworks had exploded in the air around all of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. Everyone could feel the power in the air as her Sly deflowered her. In 205 years she was still a virgin, but not anymore. They lay next to each other, on the velvet blanket, Al holding her close to him.

"You know, I never thought I'd ever say that I had sex with a vampire," Al said smiling. Ivy smiled too, but the smile faded when she saw someone in the dark, not an animal, but a human. Ivy pretended that she hadn't and said very quietly to Al to pull out his wand and light the area behind them. Slowly, very slowly, he grabbed his wand, and pelted around, shouting LUMOUS! Revealing Zander Malfoy sitting in the leaves listening to their conversation.

"Shit! Malfoy, get the fuck out of here!" but he was already gone. Ivy was crying, pulling her clothes back onto her.

"Ivy what's wrong? He didn't see you naked or anything, I was blocking you," Al said, worried as he hugged her.

"No Sly, he heard what you said about me being a vampire. People already have their suspicions, but I know the Malfoys, I went to school here with one, this very school, I was in the same house as one. Slytherin! No, if I know the Malfoys that little prat is going straight to the ministry... I'm not 'registered' that I'm a vampire, and I'm not numbered like some fucking animal, so I'm technically illegal... if they find me, they'll kill me, not only because I'm illegal, but because I had sex with a human, and could get pregnant, and any Vampire that doesn't mate with another vampire, and has a child is executed and so is the child." Ivy was crying very hard right then, and Al looked as if he could kill.

"It'll be ok Ivy, it'll be ok, I won't let them hurt you, I love you Ivy, I love you." Ivy stopped crying for an instant and looked up at her Sly,

"I love you too Sly, I love you more then anything or anyone in the world. But... you understand, I have to leave don't you? I have to go? They'll kill me... and you too probably, because you had sex willingly."

"No, NO! Ivy you can't leave me, please! Ivy no!" Al was crying now, holding on tighter to Ivy. He held her tighter and closer then he ever had before, crying into each other.

"This was to good to last Sly..."

"Make me one of you! Make me a vampire and then we won't have to worry about

the laws because you'll be mating with another vampire and you could just say that... that...you didn't know about the laws because you had just finally come out into a community from wondering through woods, saving yourself from harming people. Besides, my grandpa, he would help, he's high up I know he would, please, let me try, please!" Al looked so desperate, so completely desperate that she had to give in.

"Alright Sly, you can try your Grandpa, and if he can help with it, we'll go from there, but if nothing is accomplished by tomorrow, then I'm sorry I have to leave... I don't want to! God I don't want to, I would rather kill myself and spend eternity in hell then leave you, but I don't want you hurt. Go to your grandpa and see what you can do." Al nodded, tears in his eyes, grabbing Ivy and kissing her fiercely, before getting up and putting his clothes on.

"I'll go tonight, I'll go right now, and bang on his door till he listens to me." And with that, he took off. Ivy knew it wouldn't make a difference either way. They would kill her for being illegal, weather or not she had friends in high places or not. Because with no ID, they have the right, and when they have the right, they seize their chance to kill the monster. Ivy put her clothes back on, and started to walk, tears streaming from her eyes, tears of blood. Then, she started to run, as fast as she ever had before, and it wasn't long till she broke out of the forest, running to the inn, and barricading the door. Not even ten minutes that she had been indoors did people start showing up at the inn, mostly students, shouting about a killer and a blood sucker, the undead and insults of the sort. How she isn't fit to live. Ivy still had the red tears streaming down her face as she pulled out a piece of parchment and started to write to her Sly.

~*~

Al ran through the corridors at full speed, and busted through the door to his grandfather's office, but only to find that he was sitting behind his desk with a frown.

"I know what you've come to ask of me grandson, and I can not help. She is against the law, and if I would have know of her before this, what she was, what evil she was, then I would not have allowed you to see her.

Al started screaming and yelling at his grandfather, that he was his only hope, he had to help, she wasn't evil, he loved her, but the old man only shook his head and Al only screamed more.

"FINE YOU WON'T HELP ME YOU FOOLISH OLD MAN! THE ONLY GIRL I EVER LOVED, WELL DAMN YOU TO HELL, YOU ARE NOT FIT TO RUN THIS SCHOOL! CRUCIO!"

~*~

Ivy finished writing Al a letter, telling him that she was sorry, but she had to go because she loved him, her bloody tears littered the page as she folded it up, and stuck it in her pocket, throwing her clothes into her little pack, and what money she had, and running out the door. She could hear the banging coming from the front of the building, so she ran towards the back. There was a balcony, but no stairs, so she ran, and leapt off of the balcony, landing on her feet, 5 stories down, and taking off into the woods. Ivy ran to the back door of the pub, and banged on the door until Tony came, Ivy came rushing in out of breath.

"Tony, I have to leave, they found out. Trying to kill me... give this to Al, tell him I love him, and keep Fawkes safe until Al comes for him," she said giving Tony the letter.

"Hold on, I'll give you some money," he said and rushed away with the letter in his hand.

"I haven't got long Tony, hurry up!" Tony came back with a bag full of coins.

"Take care of yourself kid, we'll miss you," he said, kissing her on the head, and she bolted out the door, again, running along in the forest. She thought about just staying there in the forest, but it was too risky. She would come back when she had the chance, but right now, she had to put as much distance between herself and Hogwarts and Hogsmeade as she could. Leaving her true love behind her, the one who knew what she was... and loved her anyways.

~*~

Two days later, after being let out of the locked room his grandfather put him into for using an unforgivable on him, he ran straight out of Hogwarts and down to her inn. Not hearing about the events that happened. He went up to her room, and all her things were gone.

Well maybe she's staying with Tony... He rushed down to the pub, to find Tony standing behind the bar alone.

"Where's Ivy?" Tony just shook his head, his eyes were red and bloodshot, and he handed Al a letter.

"She wanted you to take Fawkes too. I didn't read the letter, but I could see blood through it, but I don't know if it was her tears or what. Vampire's cry blood when they're heartbroken, so you tell me." Tony turned away. Al was crying and in a daze, he numbly grabbed the letter and Fawkes, and walked out of the pub. His feet were carrying him some where, but didn't know where until he got there. It was the secluded spot that Al took her to on the last night that he saw her. He sat down on the blanket and numbly opened the letter

Dearest Love,

I'm sorry, but I knew that your grandfather would not help me. No one will help me. I'm lucky to have found the two people, you and Tony, who have accepted me for what I am. I love you dear Sly, I love you more then anything in this world, but I cannot let you be killed. Maybe our paths will cross again one day my dear one, and maybe we can be together again, but for now, I must go. You asked me to turn you into what I've become, and I say no, no because I will not turn you into a monster, which is truly what I am. You're so much better then that. I see power behind those eyes Albus Dumbledore, more power then I have ever seen in any mortal. I love you. Do I love you... so much, and it is that love that is making me say goodbye. I'm glad I got what time I did with you... do not forget me, please darling. Maybe we will be together again. Do not forget that you are the one who means the most to me, who made me no longer a virgin, I will never forget you. Ever. If you ever want to contact me, use Fawkes, he'll know where I am, and he'll gladly deliver the message, he is yours. I'll see you in your dreams love,

~Yours Always,

Ivy

By the time Al got done reading the letter, the page was soaked with his tears and hers. His breathing started to get ragged and he sat up abruptly, onto his knees.

"NO! YOU WILL PAY! ALL OF YOU! YOU WILL PAY!"

And he slammed his fists down on the earth, making the ground around him shake, it seemed that the ground of Britain itself shook and heard his scream that day. Al's breath settled a little, and he smelled the same scent he had the first day that he kissed Ivy, it smelt like roses and honey. He breathed in deeply and could have sworn he heard the wind whispering to him as it whipped around him,

"I will always love you"

Crying, Al got up, putting the letter away, grabbing Fawkes, the only reminder he had left of his beloved, and walked up to the castle.

The End
