Ginny sat in Dumbledore's office with Professors Dumbledore and Goldwood. She had written to her parents and asked them to come to school to meet with the three of them on this day. It had been a full week since Professor Goldwood had administered the test and Ginny felt it was time her parents should know.

Finally, there was a small rap on the door and Professor McGonogal poked her head in. "Mr. and Mrs. Weasley to see you, sir," she said, opening the door and showing them in.

Ginny stood with the professors to greet her parents. "Hello, mum, daddy," she said, nodding to each of them in turn.

Her mother flung her arms around her daughter and cried, "oh, my poor Ginny! Whatever is the matter that we needed to come so quickly? Please tell me there's nothing wrong!"

"There's nothing wrong, mum," said Ginny. "I'm fine. I'm not sick or being expelled or anything. I TOLD you in the letter that what I had to tell you was good. Now let's sit down and I'll tell you."

Finally, her mother pulled away, still looking very worried. Professor Dumbledore smiled kindly in greeting to the two Weasleys and then nodded to Professor Goldwood, who also smiled before she began her speech. "About a week ago, Miss Weasley came to me with a question," she began. "It got the both of us to thinking and I administered the appropriate test in order to answer her question. I believe she should be the one to tell you the actual news, however. Miss Weasley?" she said, motioning for Ginny to continue.

"Well, mum, dad," she said. "You know how since I was little I would just KNOW about people? And sometimes, I wouldn't even know what I didn't like about them, but I just knew I didn't?" Her parents only nodded. "Well, someone said something to me that got me thinking. So, like Professor Goldwood said, I came to her. She gave me the test for soul searchers."

With that, her mother gasped and placed a hand over her heart. However, she didn't say anything.

"I showed your daughter several pictures of people and asked her to tell me whether they were wizards or muggles," said Professor Goldwood when Ginny looked to her for help. "She got every one of them correct. You daughter IS a soul searcher.”

"Wow," said her father, finally. "I never thought.... I mean, I didn't suspect that she was anything special. Well, of course she's special! She's my little girl! But, what I mean to say is that I didn't think she had any special powers or anything."

"Of course you didn't, daddy," said Ginny. "Neither did I. Nobody did, really. We all just thought I had a knack for reading people. That's nothing special after all."

Her mother only nodded and looked as if she were about to cry. "My little Virginia," she said, reaching out a hand to brush a few stray strands of hair out of Ginny's face. "You're growing up too fast."

Ginny smiled at her mother. "I'll have to grow up faster," she said almost sadly. "I've decided to go to The Camp this summer."

Her mother gasped. And rightly so. The Camp was something that was set up by the collective European Ministries of Magic for children with special abilities. They went to this camp to learn special training associated with their abilities and receive extra defensive and dueling training. Most children who went to these camps during the summer became aurors very quickly. Ginny could see why her mother would be afraid for her.

"Everything will be all right, Mrs. Weasley," Professor Dumbledore reassured her. "There are two other students from Hogwarts who will be attending this summer. One of whom realized his powers just recently and one who had come into her powers a couple of years back. They are both sixth years. But, I think I will let that be up to them to reveal themselves if they so choose."

"What sort of powers do those children have?" asked her father. "I mean, if you are at liberty to say."

"One is a Jewel-wright and the other is a Saihan," replied Dumbledore.

Ginny sat up straight. "A Saihan?" she asked. "Really?" She'd have thought she would have been able to tell if there was a Saihan in her presence. Someone who could control fire, wind, water and weather? That would be fairly obvious, wouldn't it?"

"Oh, yes," said Dumbledore. "He is quite strong. We almost didn't catch it, but we did. And just in time. But, we are not here to discuss the Saihan. We are here to discuss you, Miss Weasley."

"I'm not so certain my daughter should go to The Camp so soon," said Mr. Weasley. "After all, she is only 15 years old."

"She will be 16 by the time it starts," said Professor Goldwood. "I went to The Camp when I was 16 years old. She'll be well cared for, I promise you."

"I'll be fine, daddy," said Ginny. "You don't have to worry about me. They have all sorts of charms protecting The Camp. I'll be safe. Besides, I HAVE to go. I know, I'm not being forced or anything, but what sort of a person would I be if I DIDN'T go and learn to use my powers?"

"A selfish one," answered her father, tears in his eyes. "I can see we've taught you well, Virginia."

Ginny smiled at her father, tears in her eyes as well. "You did," she answered.

By this time, her mother had tears streaming down her cheeks and Ginny had all she could do to hold her own in. Both of her parents were looking like the proudest people in the world and Professor Goldwood was smiling satisfactorily.

"Well," said Professor Dumbledore finally. "That is all we had to discuss, but I'm sure you would like to speak with your daughter further, so I shall release her to you and you can take a walk down to Hogsmeade if you like. Just be sure you're in your house by curfew, Miss Weasley," he added.

"Of course, Professor Dumbledore," said Ginny, standing to follow her parents out of the office and probably to Hogsmeade.

"They're sending you to The Camp?" asked Draco almost disbelievingly that night as the two of them sat curled up together on the sofa.

"Yeah," said Ginny. "There's supposedly a Saihan here, too."

"A Saihan?" he asked. "Really?"

"Funny," she replied, twisting to kiss him. "I said the same exact thing."

He chuckled. "Who is it?" he asked.

"I don't know," she said. "Dumbledore wouldn't say. He didn't feel it was his place."

"Just like Dumbledore," said Draco.

Ginny agreed. "He keeps things to himself," she answered, settling back down on Draco's chest. "Which is a good thing."

He kissed the top of her head. "I can't believe I'm dating a Soul Searcher," he said. "Wish I could tell someone."

Ginny grinned. "I know," she said, twisting around to kiss him once again. "Just for the record, I think you're pretty great, too!"

They became so deeply involved with one another that neither of them heard the door open behind them.

"GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY SISTER!"

Before Ginny even knew who had spoken, her brother tackled Malfoy to the floor and his fists were flying. "Ron!" she shrieked. "NO! STOP!" She jumped up and tried to pull him away, but he just pushed her and continued punching Draco.

"Ron, PLEASE!" she pleaded, trying to pull him away again. "Don't hurt Draco! Let GO, Ron! LET GO!" With that, she gave one final heave and succeeded in pulling her brother off her boyfriend.

Ron immediately jumped to his feet. "What the bloody hell are you DOING, Gin?" he demanded, face red in anger.

"Don't you talk go me like that, Ronald Weasley!" she shouted back.

"Ginny!" he exclaimed. "You were SNOGING Malfoy!"

"He's not as bad as you think, Ron!"

"NOT AS BAD-! GINNY!"

"Ron!"

"You were NEVER tutoring him, were you?"

"RON!"

"You were down here SNOGGING him the whole time!"

"RONALD WEASLEY will you SHUT UP and LISTEN for a moment?" she nearly shrieked at him. He crossed his arms and glared at both she and Draco- who was now standing behind her, nose very well bloodied and one eye already turning nasty shades of black, blue and yellow.

"You KNOW what I am, Ron," she said.

"Yeah, so?"

"So how could you think that I'd want to be with Draco Malfoy if he was even HALF as bad as you say he is?" she asked.

Ron's face softened a bit at that. "Still, Gin," he said.

"Ron," she interrupted. "Just trust me on this one, okay? I mean, it's not as if YOU'VE got to be his friend."

He sighed. "All right," he said. "Just don't let me catch you doing anything you shouldn't be doing!" he warned Malfoy, pointing a finger in his face. "And don't let me hear that you hurt her! Got it?"

"Or what?" sneered Malfoy.

"Draco, Ron, stop it," ordered Ginny. "And Ron, please don't tell anyone. Not even Harry and Hermione."

"I won't Gin," he said, scowling once more at Malfoy before leaving.

"Oh, goodness, look at you!" crooned Ginny, taking a better look at Draco. "Look at what he's done!"

"I'll be all right, Ginny," he said, wiping some blood off his face with the back of his hand. "I'll go see if Snape's got some potions. He doesn't ask questions."

Ginny nodded. "I should go get some studying done before bed anyway," she said.

He grinned at her. "Now you sound like Granger," he said. "Always studying."

"Well, I need to study for Transfiguration," she said. "My marks have started to slip. Pretty soon, my mum and dad will be wondering what's the matter."

"They'll just think it's got to do with training," he said, pulling her into his arms. "You know, you're working too hard at too much."

"Perhaps," she replied, settling her head on his chest. "But, I don't want them to put a stop to THAT!"

"Of course not," said Draco, kissing the top of her head. "We can't have our little soul searcher hampered in any way!"

Ginny grinned. "All right, you," she said. "That's enough."

Slowly, he pulled away from her. "We'd both better get going, then," he said, smiling down at her.

"Yes," she said, stretching up to kiss him one more time. "You get that eye taken care of and make sure your nose isn't broken."

"Yes, mum," he said, mockingly.

Ginny slapped him playfully in the arm. "I'm serious!" she said.

"All right," he laughed. "I'll behave."

"Thank you," she replied. "I love you, Draco."

"I love you, too, Ginny," he said, bending to kiss her once more.

With that, they parted, Draco hurling insults at her as she walked down the hall, away from him. After all, they still had to appear as if they hated one another.
