Silky white fabric swished around Hermione's ankles as she and Ron took the floor in their first dance together as Husband and Wife. Ron inched a hand around her waist as she smiled up at him, meeting his eyes. It made her so happy just to be with him. Hermione had always enjoyed his company, and now, they could be together forever.

"Did you ever think we'd make it this far?" Ron whispered into Hermione's ear.

"No," Hermione replied seriously.

Puzzled, Ron pulled back to look into Hermione's face, "Really?"

"Really," a smile played at Hermione's lips, "I knew we'd make it this far, I'm not sure how, but I just knew."

Ron kissed Hermione's forehead, and she rested the side of her face on his shoulder, feeling the rough fabric of the rented tux against her cheek. Hermione smiled as she watched Harry pull out a ring from a dark blue velvet box and Ginny place a hand over her mouth. "Look, Ron, your little sister's growing up," Hermione whispered.

Ron turned his head slightly to watch Ginny and Harry hug, now each other's fiancés.

Ginny and Harry watched Ron and Hermione contentedly, their fingers intertwined. Ginny was already planning she and Harry's future wedding. Harry was gazing at the ring on Ginny's finger. He was quite relieved when she had been pleased with it. It was a simple opal on a gold band. The ring that meant they were promised to each other. Ginny had liked Harry for a long time, even when she had told herself that she didn't. Harry, thankfully, had finally seen through that facade and coaxed Ginny to go out with him. Now, Ginny knew, she and Harry were going to have a very happy life together.

Arthur and Molly Weasley had been through quite a lot together raising their children. There had been times they had thought their marriage would fall apart, those were usually the times that they'd had their little disagreements, the ones that seemed so silly now. Now though, that they were able to watch their youngest son get married, they were glad they had stuck together. It was worth it too. Neither of them would have wanted to spend their lives with anyone else. Ron was, however, just another one of the Weasley boys to get married. Charlie was settling down with his new bride. Fred and George were dating two nice girls that had come into their store more often than needed throughout the past three months or so.

Flashback:

James held Lily delicately in his arms. The graduation dance at Hogwarts had turned out to be better than imagined. After all, how many people get engaged at a school dance? Not that James cared about the answer, or really wanted it, Lily occupied too much of his mind for him to think of such an unimportant detail.

The song ended, Hermione reached up to kiss Ron at the same time that Ginny kissed Harry, while Molly kissed Arthur. If they had been there, Lily would have kissed James.
