Author's Note:
You might want to make a chart of who loves and who kills who.

As the heads of the houses finished announcing about the ball, they met Dumbledore in the Great Hall. Dumbledore said, "As you all know, we are having a ball in the remembrance of our dear Harry Potter." Snape gave a smirk. "It will be held here in the Great Hall tomorrow at 7 o'clock in the evening." Then Dumbledore dismissed them.
The next day, as the Gryffindors entered the Divination room, they were surprised. There was no smell and not one candle was lighted. As they tried to find their seats, all of them saw a silver mist and Professor Trelawney appeared. " Good morning class, today we are going to reflect on Mr. Potter's death and gaze into the crystal ball and see if we can get any visions."
Ron raised his hand. Professor Trelawney nodded and Ron said, " Not to be rude Professor but I don't think that we should use Harry's death as a Divination exercise."
Professor Trelawney admired Ron's truthfulness and said, "Very well Mr. Weasley, we are not doing exercises today, instead I will tell everyone's fortune."
Everyone in the room was delighted.
Professor Trelawney called Seamus first, and then Parvati, and then Neville.
"What do you see Professor?" Neville asked.
"I see...I see...you seeing things that you aren't supposed to see. I see you are troubled and disturbed," said Professor Trelawney.
"Oh no! Is this true? Should I tell my grandmother?" Neville said terrified as he got up mumbling.
Professor Trelawney shook her head and called Lavender, Dean, and a few other students then she called Ron.
"Ah...Mr. Weasley, this should be interesting," she said as her eyes twinkled.
"Ok, what is it this time? A stampede of hippogriffs or an incident with the giant octopus?" Ron said not interested.
"No Mr. Weasley, this is something very different. I see..." she gazed into her crystal ball, "love. Someone will confess their love for you."
"Yeah right...who is it this time? Let me guess...hmm...is it Myrtle?"
"No Mr. Weasley, someone very close to you right now," Professor Trelawney said.
Ron stood up confused. But deep inside him, he thought it was Hermione. He thought and wanted it to be Hermione. As he was sitting down, he grinned.
Seamus and Dean were coming up to him and Seamus asked, "What did the old crackpot say?"
"It's very odd really...she said that someone will confess their love for me..." Ron said still confused.
"Yeah...whatever," said Dean.
"She seemed very serious though," Ron said.
"Who do you think it is?" asked Seamus teasingly.
"I don't want to conclude anything but..." Ron blushed. "I think...I think its Hermione."
Seamus and Dean started giggling, then eventually they burst into laughter.
Parvati and Lavender stood up and came to them and Parvati said, "Why are you two giggling?"
"Is there something you want to share with us?" asked Lavender.
"We're the only ones that giggle here..." said Parvati. "It's just not right when boys giggle...that's our job."
"If only you just heard what he just said, you would giggle too even if you were a boy!" said Dean.
"What did he say?" they both asked together.
"Please share!" said Lavender.
"Why should we tell the two loudmouths of the school?" said Ron.
"Okay fine! We will find out anyway...you'll see," said Parvati. "And just to let you know, we giggle better then you do," she said as the bell rang.
The boys said, "FINE!" and left the room for the next class.
It was now 5 o'clock in the afternoon and everyone was preparing for the ball. Ron had asked Hermione earlier that afternoon. Fred was going with Angelina and Seamus and Dean were going with Parvati and Lavender. George asked Cho but Cho immediately rejected him...in her mind, she was still Harry's girl. "God, I have had bad luck with boys, in my 5th year, Cedric died and in my 7th year, Harry dies. I'm never going to date again!" she promised herself.
Neville was seen talking to Ginny. Pansy Parkinson is still wanting to go with Draco and she eventually did but Crabbe and Goyle couldn't find dates so they decided to go together. (Are they fruity?)
It's now 6:30 in the evening and everyone is going down to the Great Hall meeting their dates. At 7 o'clock, Professor McGonagall opened the doors to the Great Hall. Pair by pair the students entered the Great Hall to find it decorated with red and gold banners and a picture of Harry above the staff table. The Great Hall was set up just like the Yule Ball, not 4 long tables but round tables that sit about 12.
The staff table was occupied by the usual crowd, Dumbledore and the professors. But, however, there was another table below it, it seated Oliver Wood (former Quidditch captain) the Weasleys, Sirius, Professor Lupin, Mad-Eye-Moody, Dobby and Winky.
As the students were coming in, the Weird Sisters started to play a slow song. As everyone was seated, Dumbledore stood up, he said, "As we all know, this ball is in remembrance of Harry Potter. As you see, we have a table below the staff table; these people were very close to Harry. We have Oliver Wood, former Quidditch captain and Harry's former teammate. We have all of the Weasleys who were like Harry's family, more then the Dursleys ever were, we have Sirius Black, who was Harry's godfather, Professor Lupin was one of his father's best friends Harry's former Defense Against Dark Arts teacher, we also have Mad-Eye-Moody, who was also his former 4th year Defense Against Dark Arts teacher and Dobby and Winky, his friends."
As Dumbledore sat down, the Weird Sisters started playing the Muggle-tune called "No one Else Comes Close" and that dance was just for Cho to dance with George. As Cho and George were dancing, everyone started dancing including Ron and Hermione, Professor Snape and Professor Trelawney, Professor McGonagall and Professor Flitwick, Draco and Pansy, Fred and Angelina, Mr. And Mrs. Weasley, Neville and Ginny, and Percy and Penelope.
As they were all dancing, the rest sat and watched. When the song ended, everybody went their separate ways and sat with their friends.
The Weird Sisters started playing another slow song and Draco saw Professor McGonagall all the way on the other side of the room and said to no one in particular, "Don't you think that Professor McGonagall look lovely tonight?" asked Draco.
"Dude! She's a TEACHER! Plus she's like a million years older then you!" Crabbe said.
"I'm your date!" said Pansy.
"Yeah...but she looks lovely and she is a lot more mature then you," said Draco.
"AH! I can't believe you! Crabbe! You are my new date for tonight! Dance with me!" she said as she grabbed Crabbe.
"Ok! Cool! Fine...at least I have a real date!" Crabbe said.
"You're going to leave me here! I was your date!" Goyle yelled as he sat down looking very pissed.
The Weird Sisters started another slow song and Draco said, "Wait here, I am just going to ask someone to dance."
"Please don't tell me your going to ask McGonagall to dance," Goyle said looking disgusted.
"Yeah I am...bye!" said Draco as he approached McGonagall.
"Um...excuse me Professor...can I have this dance?" asked Malfoy not looking her in the eye.
'What is with Draco? He is sick and twisted.' Professor McGonagall thought.
"Why of course Draco," said Professor McGonagall.
As they headed to the crowded dance floor, Draco was in heaven, Professor McGonagall put her hands around Draco's neck and he put his hands on her hips.
Then, Ron was dancing with Hermione and saw the back of Professor McGonagall and said, "Oh my God! McGonagall is dancing by herself...I think she's lost her rocker."
Then, Hermione said, "Let's go tell Fred over there, he's dancing with Angelina."
When they finally got to Fred, Ron whispered, "Look at McGonagall! She's dancing by herself!" he said as he and Hermione started dancing over to George who was dancing with Katie Bell. Hermione said the same thing.
Fred, George, and Ron met and Fred said, "Oh my God! Look! McGonagall is dancing with...with...DRACO!!!!!"
"AH! Draco!" Hermione said looking over there, "He hates her though...why would he be dancing with her?"
"I've got an idea...let's go over there and embarrass Mr. Malfoy," George said with a mischievous grin.
"Ok let's!" said Ron excitedly.
As they approached, Draco saw them and got nervous. His hands started trembling. Then, Fred said very loudly, "GOOD EVENING PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL! HEY DRACO! ARE YOU HAVING FUN?"
Some people in the Great Hall stopped and stared.
"YES DRACO! ARE YOU HAVING A GOOD TIME DANCING WITH PROFESSOR MCGONAGALL?" asked Ron just as loudly.
"WHERE IS YOUR DATE DRACO?" asked Hermione just as loudly.
"DIDN'T YOU COME WITH PANSY?" asked Fred, "WHY AREN'T YOU DANCING WITH YOUR DATE?"
"Because she is dancing with Crabbe and yes I am having fun dancing with Professor McGonagall!" he said as he smiled shyly.
As the song ended, everyone broke off and took their seats. "I think Draco needs some extra points in Transfiguration," Fred said.
"No actually it's like...his best subject...I think that he just likes McGonagall," Ron said.
Then, Parvati and Lavender overheard and they told everyone at their table.
Then, they all sat down and another song started playing, Ron danced with Hannah Abbot (A Hufflepuff) Fred danced with Angelina and George danced with Katie so it was Hermione and Cho left at the table. Hermione started flirting with Cho and all of a sudden, it hit her, Hermione was gay. She suddenly remembered the dream she had on the night Harry died, it was that Hermione killed Harry. She didn't know if it was real but she asked anyway, "Hermione?"
"Yes?" said Hermione.
They started talking and Cho realized that Hermione was flirting big time.
Then, she excused herself and went to the restroom and wrote a note that said:

Hermione-
Meet me in the Entrance Hall exactly one hour before breakfast. I have something very important to tell you...please come or I will be devastated.

Cho Chang

As the ball ended, Cho put the note in her hand and slipped it into Hermione's hand as they shook hands and left without saying a word.
Hermione looked at the note and read it. Her heart fluttered. She couldn't believe what had just happened. She went up to her room without even waiting for Ron.
The next morning, Hermione was there 10 minutes before she had to be because she was so excited. She counted the minutes and then Cho arrived looking beautiful as ever. 'What is she trying to do...kill me?' Hermione thought standing up.
"Good morning Hermione, can you go with me on a walk beside the lake?" asked Cho.
"I'd love to," Hermione said.
As they were walking, Cho said, "Hermione, I have to tell you something but don't get mad because I don't know if it is true so don't get mad at me but I have a feeling that you are...you are...gay."
Hermione gasped, "Oh my God, you're right."
"And I have to tell you one more thing, I am gay too," Cho lied. Something inside her gagged.
Hermione's heart fluttered. She smiled, "I have to tell you something too...I love you."
Cho was surprised, Hermione explained, "I have loved you since my 3rd year, I know Harry loved you. That is why I haven't said a word. I always thought you were straight and you were like the prettiest girl at Hogwarts. Every time Gryffindor plays Ravenclaw, I silently cheer for you. I know Harry's my friend and all but I'm the one who killed him because I love you." Hermione didn't realize what she said and when she did, she covered her mouth. "Did I just say that?" she asked.
"Yes..." Cho said nervously, "And...Thank you," Cho said in a very unconfident voice.
Hermione's eyes twinkled and lit up.
"I always loved you but I didn't have the heart to break up with Harry. I loved him but not like boyfriend-girlfriend love...more like a brother or a best friend," Cho explained.
As Cho was saying these words, Hermione's eyes were dancing. She leaned in for a kiss and Cho leaned forward and kissed Hermione. Hermione put her arms around Cho's neck and Cho pushed her away and Hermione fell into the lake.
"What did you do that for? I thought you loved me?!" Hermione yelled.
"I don't love you! I am straight! I can't even stand looking at you...the person that killed my future-fiancé. I loved him damn it! And you! You! You! You killed him! You killed one of your best friends! The person that saved you from a giant troll! Accepted you for you for your bitchy self! He always had the patience to put up with you but in return you kill him! That is how you repaid him? Why couldn't you kill me instead? Oh I know! Because you are gay and you loved me damn it! Damn that love of yours!" Cho yelled at the top of her lungs having a fit.
By then, the giant octopus was behind Hermione and grabbed her foot and pulled her down. Hermione shouted, "HELP! LOVE OF My LIFE HELP!"
As Hermione drowned, Cho walked calmly to the Great Hall, 'should I tell what happened?' she thought. Then, she had an idea; she will go and write above the spot where they found Harry something about the Chamber of Secrets. 'I will go do that right now...I will use that freezing time charm that Professor Flitwick taught us if anybody comes.
When she got to the wall, Moaning Myrtle was by the door. Cho entered the girls' bathroom and talked to Myrtle for a while. When Myrtle got in her toilet, Cho froze time. Then, she wrote on the wall:
Hermione Granger-32 O.W.L. student and 12 N.E.W.T. student died today, her body and soul will lie in the Chamber forever.
If anyone comes down here trying to find her body, they will never see the light of day again.

Then, she ran off the Great Hall, time was still frozen; she unfroze time and then entered. She overheard Ron as she passed by the Gryffindor Table. Ron asked her, "Have you seen Hermione? Neville said that he saw you two by the lake earlier this morning when he was watering the plants for Sprout. Have you seen her?"
"Um...we parted about 30 minutes ago...she had to go to the bathroom or something," Cho said hesitantly.
"Oh ok...thanks! I will go up there now and see if I can find her," Ron said.
Cho left and went to her own table.
Seamus asked, "Where are you going?"
"I'm going to find Hermione," said Ron, "she is probably in Myrtle's bathroom talking again."
"Why do you want to find her?" Dean asked.
"Um...I want to ask her to be my girlfriend," he whispered.
"What? I can't hear you," Dean and Seamus said.
"I want to ask her to be my girlfriend," Ron said a little louder.
"What? Say it again?" said Dean annoyingly.
"I WANTED TO ASK HER TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND!" he shouted not meaning to.
The whole Great Hall looked at Ron. Parvati and Lavender started giggling.
"Oh god!" said Ron as he exited the Great Hall in search of Hermione.
When he got to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom, he saw red writing on the wall and read the message. "Oh my God!!! Oh my God! Oh...my...God!! My Hermione! She's gone! She didn't know that I loved her! Now she will never know!" he said as he started to cry and run to the Great Hall.
As he ran to the staff table, he approached Dumbledore and said, "Hermione...Chamber of Secrets...DEAD...Moaning Myrtle's bathroom...Red Writing..."
"Calm down Mr. Weasley," Dumbledore said as Professor McGonagall's face turn ghostly white.
As Ron inhaled, he fainted.
