- I dreamed about this story and now I can't get it out of my head. Let me know what you think!
At King's Cross Station, a young girl seemed confused as she looked down onto a piece of old-looking paper. She was about 15 years old, with shoulder-length brown hair and black eyes, had a big trunk with the initials I.B on it and a cage with a hawk in it. People that saw her looked at her with pity, compassion or amusement as she nervously looked around her muttering to herself "where is platform nine and three quarters?" At last she spotted a small group of teenagers who had the same trunks as hers and heard them talking quietly about "Hogwarts Express" and "Potions" and "Transfiguration". She walked up to the tallest one, a red-haired young man with the initials R.W on his trunk, gathered all the courage she had and asked him:
-Do you know how I can get to platform nine and three quarters?
He looked at her in disbelief and so did the others. There was a boy with jet-black hair and green eyes who was wearing glasses, a red-haired girl who looked about her age, and a girl with bushy brown hair who was holding the red-haired guy's hand.
-Just walk at the wall between platforms nine and ten, answered the red haired girl with a smile. Haven't you done this before?
-Never, why do you ask, said the young girl suspiciously, as if she was trying to find out if the redhead was joking. She didn't trust many people and the few persons who had the privilege of her trust earned it.
-You must have done it before, said the bushy haired girl. How else could you go to Hogwarts?
-This is my first time at Hogwarts, answered the young girl awkwardly.
The two boys looked astonished while the girls had looks of polite curiosity on their faces.
-Let's just go now, will we. I'll go first, and you follow me Miss, said the black haired boy. He smiled at her and walked swiftly to the wall between platforms 9 and 10. But instead of crashing into the wall, he disappeared. The newcomer looked at the wall, inhaled deeply and ran to the wall. She closed her eyes as she walked through the wall. When she opened them again, a whole new sight was stretched in front of her eyes. Kids, teenagers and parents dressed in robes or normal clothes talked loudly about the holidays or the school terms or the Christmas vacation. Some of the teens and kids were climbing onto a red train that had "Hogwarts Express" written on it.
-Come on, you're welcome to share our compartment, said a voice in the young girl's ear. She turned around and saw the red haired boy smile at her. She smiled back and followed him into the train. When they were all seated in their compartment, the red haired girl said:
-My name is Ginny Weasley. I'm almost fifteen so I'm a fifth year at Hogwarts. This is my brother Ronald Weasley (we call him Ron). He is one year older than me; he will be sixteen in March. This is his girlfriend, Hermione Granger. She is the smartest girl in the whole school and the coolest one too. And that's their best friend. Our best friend actually. This is Harry Potter. They are all in their sixth year. How 'bout you?
-My name is Isabella. Isabella Black. I am fifteen years old. This is my first year at Hogwarts but I'll be in fifth year, like Ginny. I might also take some sixth year courses. You are obviously curious about my story, she added with a smile, so I guess I'll tell you about it. Later.
Everyone grinned at her. She smiled back and they all started to tell her about Hogwarts, houses, students, teachers, Hagrid, classes, Quidditch games and a lot of other stuff every Hogwarts student must know. They were surprised at how little Isabella knew about magic classes and Quidditch, at how she wasn't surprised at all and at the fact that she didn't gasp when she knew about Harry. Harry and Ron were telling her the rules of Quidditch and laughing at each other's jokes, while Hermione read a book entitled "One thousand magical herbs and fungi" and Ginny wrote in her journal. Then, suddenly, the glass door opened. Hermione stopped reading and Ginny snapped her journal shut. A tall young man with silver blond hair wearing black robes with the emblem of what Isabella recognized as Slytherin's sign came in. Two boys whose appearances screamed, "Don't mess with us or else we will tear you apart" followed him. The blond guy sneered at them. When he spoke, it was with a cold voice that made Isabella shiver with apprehension. She didn't like that guy at all.
-Hello Scarhead, Weasels, Mudblood, he said looking around the compartment. When his stormy grey eyes met Isabella's glare, they widened slightly with surprise.
-I see you got another admirer Potter. Did she join the geek club because she had a crush on you or because nobody else wanted her? I don't recall seeing her at school, so that means she was hiding from the rest of the students. No wonder, I would do the same if I were her, I wouldn't want people to see me and I w...
Draco Malfoy stopped talking when Isabella stood up and stared him in the eye. Harry and Ron looked at her with puzzlement then stood up behind her to back her up if she needed them to. Ginny and Hermione were looking at each other with concern. Malfoy was a Prefect now, and nothing could stop him from making Isabella's life miserable as soon as term started.
-I hope you don't have something to say because you are already damaging my eyes with your appearance and I wouldn't want to damage my ears with the nonsense girls usually say, Malfoy spat.
Isabella narrowed her eyes and clutched her knuckles tightly. She had left her wand on her seat and she could tell by Hermione and Ginny's glances that that boy was dangerous. Malfoy gave her an evil grin and turned around to get out when Isabella called out:
-Hey Malfoy, your shoe's untied. Oops, sorry, I damaged your precious, fragile ears...
Malfoy turned around and eyed her dangerously.
-Sorry, I didn't introduce myself. I'm Isabella Black. And you must be Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret! I have heard a lot about you and your family and I really hope your summer was awful. I'll make sure that your year at Hogwarts is awful too. Thank you for using Hogwarts Express, said Isabella with a huge smile on her face.
Harry and Ron grinned, Ginny giggled and Hermione's face was rather funny as she tried her best not to laugh. Her mouth however was quivering and her eyes laughed out loud. Draco Malfoy went slightly pink in the face and the smile hadn't faded from Isabella's face.
-Watch it Black, you don't know what I could do to you, said Malfoy in an audible whisper. I will make sure that your time at Hogwarts is the most miserable time you've ever had, I can prom...
-Do you want to repeat that?
Everyone looked at the boy that was now standing behind Malfoy. He was staring coldly at the three Slytherins. A Head Boy badge was pinned to his Hufflepuff robes. He had brown hair and big hazel eyes. Isabella pushed Draco aside and threw herself into the arms of the Head Boy who was now smiling at her and hugging her. Draco and his friends quickly ran away, they didn't want any trouble with a Head Boy. When Isabella finally let go of her friend, she turned around and said:
-Everyone, meet Jason McGregor, my childhood friend.
Jason greeted everyone and Harry invited him to sit with them. He sat down next to Isabella and put her arm around her shoulders protectively, just like an older brother. They all chatted for a while about Hogwarts and the summer vacation and Draco Malfoy.
-That guy is a real pain, said Ginny. He hates all Muggle-borns, all Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws! The only person Draco Malfoy likes is Draco Malfoy.
-And he's the only one to like him, said Ron making everyone laugh.
-Nobody knows the story of his life though, said Hermione, he might be a misunderstood child.
-Come one 'Mione! He didn't lose his parents when he was a kid, unless he was adopted, which we know he is not! We all know the story of his life: He was born (unfortunately for us), he grew up to be the sick and evil Malfoy that we know, and when he becomes an adult, marry Pansy Parkinson and become Voldermort's...sorry, You-Know-Who's right hand man.
-You guys actually know that? No, you don't, you're just guessing, said Isabella, who, contrary to everyone else, hadn't winced at the sound of Voldemort's name. So let's see if you can guess the story of my life.
-Isabella, I'm sorry, said Harry. I never meant to offend you. None of us is going to ask you to tell us your story. When you feel like it's time to tell us, you will, Harry ended with a smile.
-You didn't offend her Harry, said Jason, but she feels bad about having to keep secrets from a lot of people. She'll tell you her story sometime though; I know that.
-I'll tell you my story now. I don't want to keep hiding stuff from you throughout the year. Especially not from you Harry, since some of my life is related to yours.
Isabella took a deep breath and said:
-This is my story...
