A.N.: I thought of this whilst washing up and listening to Deep Blue Something's Breakfast At Tiffany's. It got me thinking of how little Ron and Hermione have in common, and I rushed up-stairs to start writing this. It's a short one-shot from Ron's POV about how Hermione wishes they had more in common. It's dedicated to my friend Lizzy, because I know she's a R/Hr shipper, and she knows I'm more of a H/Hr person. Enjoy! x

"Ron?"

It was nearly midnight, and after a hard day at work all I wanted to do was go to bed, but Hermione was using that tone of voice which meant something was on her mind, and she would most likely want to discuss it for a while. I contemplated whether or not to answer for a second, then sighed.

"Yes?"

"I've been thinking."

Uh-oh. That's never a good sentence. It meant that she'd been in deep thought for some time, and the time needed to discuss the matter would most likely be longer than first thought.

"We've been together for nearly a year now."

"I know. You keep reminding me."

I think she thought I was going to forget our anniversary, so she was reminding me at every possible opportunity.

"But why have we lasted this long? All we do is fight, and we have nothing in common."

That was rubbish of course. We did lots of things, and if I thought about it for a while I was sure I could come up with some things we had in common.

"Come on, love, you know that's not true. We do lots of things! Last week I took you to that Muggle club that you like so much, and we went to visit your parents in Australia last year. I even helped you find them after the war."

"They're just things we've done. Name one thing we have in common."

Oh dear.

"Errm...."

"Exactly. How do you expect me to love you if I can't find one thing that we have in common?"

"Hermione, this is ridiculous! Sometimes it doesn't matter if a couple has nothing in common: that's what they like about each other, the fact that they're complete opposites! That's what we are! Surely you knew that already?"

"I did, but I was hoping that after a year we'd have found something that we were both interested in, or that we both hated."

I paused to think. Hermione had made us watch some Muggle film the other day that was one of her favourites because it had her favourite actress in it. It had something to do with breakfast...

"Well... what about that film?"

"What film?"

"You know, the one we watched the other day. Something to do with breakfast."

"Honestly, Ronald, all you can think of is food!"

"No! I meant that, well, you loved it because of that actress you like, and I thought the story wasn't the worst I've ever heard..."

"Oh, you mean Breakfast At Tiffany's. What about it?"

"It's one of your favourite films, and, well, I kind of liked it as well."

Hermione's eyes lit up as she took in the meaning of what I'd just said.

"You mean we both enjoyed it? We have something in common after all?"

I nodded and she smiled and walked over to me. I wrapped my arms around her and kissed the top of her head.

"Well that's one thing we've got. We can always keep working at it."

"I knew I loved you for a reason Ron."

A.N.: Hope you enjoyed it! I have to admit that the line "Well that's one thing we've got" was shamelessly borrowed from Deep Blue Something's Breakfast At Tiffany's. I would appreciate any reviews, good or bad, as I am always looking to improve my writing skills. Also, if you liked it, please tell me why, and the same if you didn't like it. One word reviews like "Great!" are nice to get, but aren't really that useful.
