'Harry!' Hermione cried as she spotted Harry leaning over the fence. She ran across as he unlatched the gate, they met and hugged.

'Uh... Hermione could you loosen up a little,' Harry wheezed. 'you're squeezing a little tight.'

'I have to go,' Hermione said as they broke apart.

'There's a big tree in your garden,' Harry whispered in her ear. 'Meet me there at twelve and I'll make us some lunch.'

(I just took the quill from her) Hermione! I am not going to be a referee between you and Ron!

Well I'm sick of him! I'm never talking to you again Mr Ronald Weasel!

Well I'll finish this letter then! Just wanted to tell you that Hermione got here safely! Oh yeah, Sirius says hi and wishes you well.

'I can't believe you, Hermione Granger, of all people, being late. It's twelve ten,' Harry said with a sly grin. 'So your ten minutes late.'

'Sorry but I got locked in my bedroom,' Hermione said as she blushed, 'I slammed the door and it got stuck... and, well I was in there for thirty minutes before my mother heard me.'

'Here, I made you a cheese sandwich, diet cola and an apple,' Harry said as he handed her a little bag, 'I know you like pumpkin juice, but the Dursleys don't buy it, I wonder why?'

Hermione opened the little bag, a white envelope sat neatly on top with her name on it. She looked up at Harry, but he wasn't there.

Ron says he is never going to talk to us again.

He is really mad at us because Harry showed me the letters Ronald had been writing and I lost my temper with him.

Then Ron lost his temper with both of us! What should we do?

PS. Hermione has gone so she won't see this bit. I gave Hermione a really nice necklace the other day and she has said any thing about it. I hid it in a card that was with her lunch and while she opened the bag I quickly slipped on my invisibility cloak. But she put the necklace on, what does it all mean?

Did you sign your name on the card, even though it was in the lunch bag you gave her, it could be from anyone.
