Chap 1- Broken Heels

"GINNY, NO!"

Ginny ran, ignoring him. She was going to prove to him that she could do this. He was wrong! She could look after herself.

Hey, hey

RedOne, you know I can do it better than you

I can do it better than you

I can even do it in broken heels

"GINNY!"

Head down, Ginny quickened her pace. She avoided her family and dove straight into the fight. Everything was a blur as she held her wand, quivering slightly, tightly in her curled fist, ready. There was a mad cackling and before she knew it, Bellatrix Lestrange apparated in front of her, a whirlwind of black. Ginny readied herself as Bellatrix threw curse after curse at her.

"Dance, my pretty! Dance!" Bellatrix shrieked, her eyes glittering. Ginny avoided another curse and shot one back.

"CRUCIO!"

For a second, Bellatrix squirmed under the spell. Then with a furious cry, she repelled the curse and it hit Ginny with such a force that she was thrown against the wall. Bellatrix twisted her wand arm, increasing the pressure. Ginny screamed in agony.

Blood dripped steadily from the wound at her head as Ginny's body reacted to the pain. Then, as if it had never begun, it was gone. Ginny glanced up to find the reason, but Bellatrix had disappeared.

Too scared to hang around, Ginny stumbled to her feet. Clutching the wall for support, she limped away. She gathered all of her courage and headed outside.

Hey, hey

All the ladies tell the fellas we can do what they can do

We can even do it better in broken heels

The Dark Mark hung in the dark sky, reminding Ginny of Harry.

I roll my sleeves up, wrap my hair up

There's no sign on the road so I never stop

Can you catch me? Yeah, yeah, yeah

You'll never catch me, ay, ay, ay

She had to show him.

I'm fresh out the box, fast like a fox

Boss in my shoes, tick tock, 12 o'clock

You better watch me, yeah, yeah, yeah

Sit back and watch me, ay, ay, ay

Her breathing hitched as she saw the dark shadows disappearing below the Whomping Willow. Ginny knew exactly what to do. She followed.

Touching the roots just how Harry had shown her, Ginny fell clumsily into the opening. She cursed inwardly as she picked herself up. Her head wound was making her feel a little faint and she had twisted her ankle.

There was no going back.

"Who's there?" Whispered a deadly voice.

Ginny gulped. This was it.

"What are you doing here, child?"

She recoiled at the sight of him. The last time Ginny had seen Ginny Lord Voldemort, five years ago, he had been in the form of the young Tom Riddle. This monster was nothing like she had imagined.

His red eyes flashed in recognition.

"Little Ginevra Weasley? My, my. Not so little anymore!"

His gaze raked over her body, appreciatively.

Ginny pulled herself up to her full height and bravely said: "I'm no child!"

There was a sharp intake of breath from within the Shrieking Shack. From the shadows, emerged Severus Snape. He watched Ginny carefully, as if scared.

"You dare speak to my master like that?"

Before Ginny could reply, Voldemort interrupted. "Hush, Severus! It is of no importance!"

He glanced back at Snape with a strained expression. "Return to your task."

Snape met Voldemort's gaze and nodded once.

"Now, Ginevra. What am I do to with you?"

Voldemort strode over to Ginny, who trembled. This had seemed like such a good idea before. Now, not so much...

"Do not be scared. I have no need to harm you."

Eyes fluttering shut, Ginny tried to breathe evenly. "Why?"

Head to the side, Voldemort seemed to contemplate the question. A slow smirk slid over his face as he seemed to come up with an idea.

"You are much too important."
