The illusion of death is not always as concrete as one might think. Regulus was never dead, just thought to be. His return has shaken the worlds of everyone important to him. Sirius' feelings are unclear, though they were never very evident to begin with. He must set things right with his wife and a son he has never known. Most importantly however, he must try to stay alive, one can only narrowly miss death so many times.

It's just days after the deaths of Lily and James Potter. Frank and Alice Longbottom are in danger. This story explains some things about Neville and his parents.

Though they're both in Grimmauld Place, neither Remus nor Sirius is home.

With the second war against Voldemort still raging, Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their sixth year. But what was once thought to be a simple ten months turns into chaos as Harry's nightmares return, five transfer students arrive at Hogwarts and a new competition starts.
