The war is over. You-Know-Who greatly weakened the Muggle world and now the new Minister of Magic has ordered the compulsory redistribution of several witches and wizards to the Muggle world to help them clean up the debris. Ginny, Susan and Lavender are housemates in Muggle London. Who is the fourth housemate? ... And what kind of relationship did he have with Ginny in the past?

It's Ginny's first day at the British Division of Investigation, helping to clear up the debris from the war. She has to deal with a rogue alarm clock, a strange Scottish boss, a brand new partner, some highly scary driving, a crop circle and a number of strange women - not to mention the mystery of the fourth housemate.

The girls have a good chat about how things are going. Lavender is crook. Ginny rings Ron and Hermione up for a bit of yak. Oh yeah, and the fourth housemate arrives...

So Ginny has finally discovered who her new housemate is, and really isn't impressed! Breakfast is a strained affair to say the least. Her next day of work turns a little sour when Kristy is suspicious of her.

Poor Ginny, sick in bed with not a soul to look after her... or is there? Ginny finds herself the centre of much attention. Also, an unwelcome surprise for Susan Bones...

After her illness, Ginny returns to the BDI to find a bit of a surprise awaiting her in the shape of Seamus Finnigan. Dave has found a new approach for the mystery of the death of Harry Jenkins. Draco has found a new way to irritate Ginny. Harry keeps crossing the line between friendship and "something more". And what on EARTH had Draco bought for the backyard?

Yet another autopsy and yet more mysterious results! Dave's getting mightily confused over just how Jenkins was murdered, and Ginny's becoming mightily unhappily at the prospect of having to conceal the truth from him. Harry is starting to take a hint and Draco's starting to move on in! Poor Ginny, will she be able to keep up with it all?

When we last left Draco, he'd just taught Ginny how to play the piano. Ginny was busily trying to figure out how to stop her workmate Dave from finding out about the wizarding world and had to reject the advances from both Dave and Harry Potter. What could be next for the duo? Romance? Work? Cleaning the birdbath? Scones? ALL of the above?
