Author's Note:
Well, first, I’d like to thank my first beta-reader, Jasmine, I couldn’t have posted this without you! Oh and just a heads up, this crosses with our reality. Sorry if my information is somewhat off... I can’t help it; I don’t get out much. Well, I hope some people will enjoy this story line but, and this is big but, after the story’s all done and over, it’s not really… Oh and the world she goes to is in the year 2007.

Chapter Four: Daniel

The first thing Hermione could remember seeing was darkness... then her eyes fluttered open. A face slowly came into view.

"Harry?" Hermione barely got out.

The boy shook his head, "Uh, well... Daniel. Daniel Radcliffe."

"Oh," Hermione didn't know what to say. Daniel had said his name as if she should've known. She blinked back the tears welling in her eyes.

"Are you okay?" Daniel asked, concerned.

"Yeah," she said, lying, "I'm fine... What happened?"

"Oh! Um..." he seemed reluctant to tell. He turned his head away, "I, um, accidentally... er... hit you..."

"Oh... with a car?" Hermione could've hit her self.' How stupid was that?' she thought, .'With a car?' Honestly! How stupid am I?'

Daniel nodded. "Oh," Hermione repeated. She didn't remotely care... she was too busy noticing how cute this Daniel Radcliffe was. She smiled to herself, not daring to tell him that.

"I'm sorry," Daniel continued, "I was busy thinking about something else and I was just - my mind was somewhere else-"

"Where am I?" Hermione interrupted. She seemed to be in a dormitory... correction, Harry and Ron's old dormitory. Yet, it was smaller and there were cameras and lighting equipment laying around.

"Um, the boy's dormitory set. I couldn't get you to a hospital, and you didn't seem to be badly injured. Nothing's broken, is it?"

Hermione wiggled her toes just to be sure, "Uh, nope," she sat up and scanned her surroundings. Set? Of what? Hogwarts?

"Good," Daniel seemed to relax, "My mom would kill me. I just got my license... and... Anyway, what's your name?"

"Hermione Gra-I mean-" Hermione stopped, realizing that she shouldn't say that. If people knew about her from the books... they wouldn't believe she was the REAL Hermione Granger... She needed a last name! And quick! "...P-potter!" She said, coming up with the first thing she could think of. She really wanted to slap herself.

"Hermione Potter?" Daniel raised an eyebrow, "How... odd."

Hermione looked down, a bit insulted, and embarrassed. Potter? Why did she have to say that? 'Because Harry's last name is more common than mine or Ron's' she tried to reason with herself in dismay.

"Oh sorry, but it is a little odd, don't you think? It's as if Hermione Granger married Harry Potter," he chuckled. He seemed so nice... and cute.

Hermione looked up at him again. He was grinning. Hermione suddenly noticed Crankshank's lack of presence. "Um, where's my cat?"

"Uh, your cat? Oh yeah! She's downstairs in the Common Room set," he responded, "It's a girl, right?"

"Uh, not, he's a boy."

"Oh..." He seemed quite embarrassed. He changed the subject abruptly. "You a Harry Potter fan?"

"What makes you say that?"

"Well you had a brand new set of books with you. All paperback, all Harry Potter. They're downstairs too by the way."

"You could say I'm a fan... yeah," She wasn't completely lying. Harry is my friend after all... or was? "I gave away my old books, and I wanted new ones."

"Ah, that explains it."

"Okay... hey uh... Daniel-"

"Call me Dan."

"Okay, Dan.. um, where's the bathroom?"

Chapter 5: the Infamous Harry Potter

A few days had passed and Hermione had stayed in a hotel. Provided -- meaning paid for -- by Daniel. "It was the least I could do for running you over," he'd explained. Hermione also got to see the making of Harry Potter -- the seventh movie. She was only an extra and admitted that she was very jealous. She promised not to say a word to anyone, but she didn't have friends outside of the sets anymore, so what did it matter?

She was quite startled when she found out where she was, and almost ran away. Her world a fiction, started in the mind of one woman, J.K. Rowling. And Hermione herself? -- A character. She needed a little time to accept that, but in the end, she did. She'd virtually given up on trying to go back. Hermione was tired and just wanted to start over. She wished she had brought her wand... at least then she could have forged papers (so people wouldn't be so suspicious).

Almost a month had passed, and in that time she had become close friends with Daniel and Rupert Grint. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for Emma Watson. Hermione didn't understand why and she was surprised when they didn't become friends right away.

Daniel and Emma had finally finished the last scene of the day, which was a conversation. They had kept messing up and forgetting lines. Hermione watched from afar. Rupert sat by her and noticed she was staring at Daniel, and he grinned slyly. Emma didn't look happy when Daniel started to speak to the real Hermione before anyone else, unaware of Emma's frown.

"That was great!" Hermione complimented.

"Thanks," he smiled, "Uh, listen umm..." he lowered his voice and Hermione followed him out of the crowd of make-up artists and people cleaning up.

After they stopped, Hermione bluntly asked "What?"

"Want to go to the movies this -- I mean -- next week? After filming?" he blushed a shade of pink.

"Er... okay then!" Hermione didn't even know him that well, but she really, really liked him.

What would Dan do if he ever found out he was going on a date with the real Hermione Granger... who was only a fictional character in his world? Hermione had no clue and she didn't want to think about it. She liked Daniel too much, and didn't want him to think she wasn't real. She wanted him to like her too.

---

Hermione sighed as she looked around. They were in the Great Hall set. She was sitting next to Emma, who seemed to be ignoring her. They weren't filming yet, and Rupert and Dan were doing some other scene somewhere else. They weren't really needed, but they had to be there because they were filming an important conversation at the Slytherin table.

Hermione was stirring some food on her plate when Emma started to talk to her.

"We just ended last April you know,"

"Oh?" Hermione said as she turned to look at Emma.

The other girl nodded, "Yeah, they wanted to start early. We don't have to work in November you know."

"We don't?" Another girl, across from them, asked.

"Nope, don't ask why," Emma shrugged. She never used to talk to Hermione without Rupert or Dan around.

"It's been like really going to Hogwarts, hasn't it?" Another person asked. Extras and others that had been there at least last year nodded.

"So," Emma turned to Hermione again, changing the subject, "I heard you have a date with the Boy Who Would Be Harry."

"Er.. yeah?"

"You do?!" People around them suddenly exclaimed.

"Um... yes..." Hermione wasn't really comfortable with discussing the date with anyone. It really wasn't their business. "Why did you call Daniel The Boy Would Be Harry, Emma?"

"Well that's what he was called. While Harry's called the Boy Who Lived, little Danny Radcliffe's the Boy Who Would Be Harry. Where have you been?" She giggled, unbelieving.

"Oh, right, I forgot," Hermione grinned, trying to hide her embarrassment, "but girls do swoon over him a lot, don't they?"

Emma giggled again, "Oh yes, I remember the screaming during all those premiers! Remember when Sean Biggerstaff came?" The girls sighed blissfully.

"Oh," Hermione seemed to say that a lot, "Who again?"

"He played Oliver Wood, where have you been, really?" The girl across from her asked.

"Girls!" muttered the boy who commented on how it seemed like Hogwarts.

"But he is really nice. He is so much older than us though! He was like eighteen when the movies started! He's twenty-four now!" said an eighteen year old, who'd been there long as an extra.

"Wow, never knew you were such a fan," Emma said, "What's you're favourite book?"

"The last one," the girl replied.

"Mine's the third one. Yours Hermione?"

"Um.. the first," Hermione quickly said.

"You're name's Hermione?!" The boy exclaimed.

"Yeah, have a problem with that?" Emma frowned.

"No, it's just weird."

"You know," Hermione interrupted, "I wonder why J.K. named the 4th year the Goblet of Fire, it had very little to do with that goblet."

"Better ask Jo when she comes by," Emma suggested.

"Oh, yes, I think I will." Hermione agreed.

Chapter 6: the Movie That Started it All

"So, what are we seeing?" Hermione asked Dan as they walked out of the studio and through the gates. She was already in dressed in an outfit Emma had helped her pick out. She wore a black turtle neck under a blue vest and a green and blue plaid skirt. She wore black stockings, and Emma's dark green high heels. Her hair was tied back and her hair flowed down in a very pretty way.

Dan, who had been blushing, only said, "You'll see."

Dan led her out to a black limo. It wasn't one of those outrageously long ones that Hermione thought very unreasonable.

"Oh wow," Hermione said, at a loss for words. Dan grinned, mischievously.

"What, a beautiful girl like you never ridden in a limo?"

Hermione shook her head, almost laughing, "Nope. Never."

"Your parents never approve--?"

"No," She automatically corrected, "They're both dentists."

"Dentists?!" He raised an eyebrow. She could tell he was close to laughing.

"Yep. BOTH are dentists," Hermione giggled and laughed aloud.

"C'mon," Daniel smiled and motioned for her to go in to limo. He opened the door for her.

Hermione rolled her eyes, "Such a gentleman." She went in happily.

She giggled and Dan just sheepishly grinned. He followed her in, laughing along.

---

Hermione grinned as she looked out the window at the movie lists. She turned back to look at Dan, "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone?"

Dan nodded, smiling, "The movie that started it all." Hermione nodded as well.

---

Hermione was very happy when she entered the limo once more. Dan was smiling yet again.

"So what did you think?"

"It was great! Disappointed that they missed some points and the potions chamber, which was a very big thing to skip, everyone would notice that," She smirked, "And the part when I-- er, Hermione set fire to Snape's robes, it's incendio to set fire to something."

Dan chuckled, "Are you sure you're not a fan?"

"I'm sure. I never watched the movies before... I just.. read the books," She knew it was a lie, but she had to say something.

"Oh.."

"Want to go shopping?" Hermione abruptly asked. She wanted to know if she could stay in this world forever.., but how could she find out?

Dan raised an eyebrow, "You don't like shopping."

"It's for books."

"Ah.. sure, why not?"
